My Yorkie came to us with 12 weeks old and didn’t want to eat any dry food and when he ate some because he was hungry he vomited. He was vomiting every morning for a year😢- while I try regular dog food. His vomit start as a clear liquid and turns to brown with time. So in that situation I decided to cook his food and he never vomited as before . I’m studying this things since then (2 years ) and I’m glad that I found Dr Judy’s channels and books. Lance, my baby, is healthy and beautiful- but sensitive with everything processed. So, No one could tell me what happened with him but I decided that he will not have proceeded food like everyone in our house. Just fresh food in this house. Thank you Dr Judy for everything you do. ❤

Please talk about EPI which is not pancreatitis. Except Dr.Karen Becker I didn't find any relevant in their videos.
Please make a recipe for EPI as it's quite tricky and food intolerance is high.
Please share your mail id to share the complete history of my baby who is diagnosed at 2 yrs but has been suffering from EPI from 1 yr.
I feel it's a side effect of rabies booster

Is there difference between good fats and bad fats?.

Hi Jeannine. Yes good fats are things like cocotherapy coconut oil, fish oil. Bad fats would be something like bacon fat, ham. Things that can cause pancreatitis in dogs.

Doc may ask, my 9 year old dog was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis and diabetes. He has insulin maintenance daily and i asked the doctor if I could stop the insulin injection if his blood glucose hits normal because i'm afraid he might also get hypoglycemia. Is it really necessary to give him insulin even if his blood glucose is within normal level?

I always thought it was the fats that was creating the pancreatitis in my little dogs. I finally figured it out on my own, because the veterinarians never told me that it was the revolution topical flea medication and the rabies vaccine that created my dog's inflammation. Now it has been a struggle to get her balanced out an off of commercial bought food and onto a home-cooked food She had bouts of vomiting bloody stool diarrhea, pruritus, and her hair looks dry and has like a whitish look to her black hair it almost looks gray instead of black and she just turned three. I'm so happy I came across this video because I was so afraid of the darn fats and I am not going to be afraid anymore. Thank you Doctor Morgan

Hope all went well at the dentist. Talk about anxiety! Imagine having the very painful advance oral planus and having to go to the dentist for anything. It is painful enough when not going to the dentist lol. For anyone that doesn't know that is not the same as gingivitis! It's a physical problem that attacks the gums.
You were talking in this video about high fats in the diet and mentioned Coconut Oil which I always thought was really good for dogs, HOWEVER, my dog's cholesterol shot UP to 575 (normal 131-345) and it had to be the Coconut Oil because I changed nothing in her diet except taking away the Coconut Oil and the very next blood work it had came down to 279 which is normal. I am really confused after seeing so much evidence that Coconut Oil is good for them but why did it make my dog's cholesterol go up so high and I was only giving her a teaspoon a day.
Her ALT was really low, too, at 5 on the first blood work and 11 on the second.
Monocytes 1355 which is really high on her second blood work.
H IDEXX SDMA b 15 on the second one. The first one was normal.
Not really any answers from my vet on the abnormal blood work except about the high cholesterol. He does want to repeat the blood work in another month and half.

Is an elevated tli a good indicator of pancreatitis? My dog only vomited once her appetite is fine and her stool is fine too. I also commented about the ultrasound they did

Did you keep the super low-fat recipe (like 1-2% fat) and use the oils to slowly increase fat once you got the healing for Scout? Or did you increase the fat% in the meat as well? I have a little dog who is recovered from an acute bout of pancreatitis (only one ever), and she's been on the very low-fat diet since mid-April 2022. I just started adding a little coconut oil (1/8 tsp. twice a day) to her meals, but am wondering if I should up the fat% in the meat to like a 93/7 (from the 99/1 that she's getting now) too, or maybe "instead" of the oils? I need to cook it right now for her because she did not do well on raw digestion-wise, but I'm wondering if the 93/7 meat will be safe gently cooked?

I would definitely try to increase the fat in the meat as well.

I just switched my dog to Dr Harveys premix and I rotate that with Grandma luceys premix. I’ve used ground beef, bison and chicken all which are cooked. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Thank you so much for this information. My 14 month old male Maltese just had an acute bout of pancreatitis days ago. I took him to the ER as he presented with an extremely sudden onset of diarrhea and vomiting with blood. He definitely did not have anything high fat. I am now doing a deep dive and try to learn everything i can. Thank y
