  • In this episode of FRASER ISLAND Part 2 we take a short drive from our camp at Ocean Lake to the beautiful Waddy Point (not before getting bogged in the sand). There is a lovely little back inlet of water perfect for parking on the beach for the day and taking a dip. We take a walk out to the point and find a spectacular little rock pool full of fish. From the top of the point you can see back to Indian Head. This is also a great place to fish.
We decide to take the risk and head up to the Cape. This involved navigating the Ngkala Rocks where a lot of vehicles get stuck in the deep sand just on the other side. A lot of spectators spend the day just watching!! Picking the right time of the tide is the only way to get through and get to the tip. But wow it was so worth it. The cape is amazing with the huge sand bars creating a breathtaking swirly effect seen from the drone. Champagne pools finished our time on the east side before we spend a couple of nights on the west. We loved our week on Fraser Island and wpould highly recommend it to anyone thinking of doing it!

Thanks Ron, 15 sure is unless there’s 2 big holes that young ones created to get stuck in like we did!! 😂

Always seems to be a lot of experts when things get all unnecessary. Such a stunning place with lots to do have definitely penned it in on our tour up there. Please send maps of all the " Chicken Tracks" fortunately Paj Sport not as wide as your beast. Really enjoyed this Ep.

It was like you didn’t even have drive to the steer wheels when you were bogged in that sand??? Did you try crawl mode at all? Just interested as the sand you were in didn’t look that bad on video. Cheers 👍

Hi Brad, the reason we were stuck was because all those kids standing around had got bogged there earlier and left 2 whopping holes that we then got stuck in. It was sitting on the diff so crawl mode unfortunately wouldn’t have worked. We tried everything before being snatched. Had the trax on all wheels too but didn’t help 😔. Can’t see much in the vid but they were quite deep and not noticeable from the entrance or we wouldn’t have gone in that way 🙄.
