- I say at the beginning of this video that I am so stoked.... I am no longer stoked.
I swear to God this video didn't want to be made, if the other one clears(is unblocked) that actually has the Music Video in it.....I will post that. I am so pissed off, and what is more metal than sticking it to UA-cam and just posting the mess that they created.
Anyway! Really loved this song! I am not sure if this is typical of Avenged Sevenfold's style but I really enjoyed this, except the weird zombie banging.

Let me tell you a story about creating this nightmare of a video. My camera kept cutting off while filming this so it was already all over the place. THEN! UA-cam decided that this video that is like 13 years old needed to be BLOCKED no matter how I cut it or whatever so here it is WITH NO MUSIC VIDEO. So..... I start the video at 1:49 if you want to watch along. I am going back to bed I am so annoyed...

Hey, I liked this without the video, it was a nice touch to the reaction to see only your reaction rather than the video at the same time, even though it was UA-cam’s fault that it got cut out. So, A7X or Avenged Sevenfold has many various songs, but I like ones closer to this style like Bat Country. Anyway, I call this song Hell’s Love Song. It is a very romantic story, has 4 main parts: proposal and rejection, first murder and second murder, damnation and forgiveness, and mass murder wedding ceremony. The last part that got cut off, I wanted to see your reaction to the couple drinking a pope-shake out of his head, it cut off right at the time that they were taking the photos, I could tell by your reaction. As far as the heater for your thighs, I am not sure of A7X’s meaning, but I kind of think it’s their intake of a thigh heater, as in ear warmer, so that may be A7X’s meaning to throw a bit of an adult thought into it. If you can’t tell, this is my favorite A7X song, I have the music video memorized every time I hear the song, so in my opinion it’s better that UA-cam took the video out. I don’t usually subscribe from the first video I watch, but if I am ever going to subscribe, nothing can top this video, so why not now?
Without trying to get too graphic, the heater line is because a dead body is no longer warm and so because he "knew my little crime would be cold" he got a heater for her thighs so that she wouldn't be cold when he took her to the bedroom.....

This song definitely isn't their traditional sound. It's easily their most disturbing work, but the musicianship is pretty consistent with how they sound. I definitely recommend Nightmare, The Stage and Hail to the King.

Ooooh I love this band. Been a fan since 2005, had a Deathbat tattoo since 2008 and this is easily my favourite track by them. It's so creative, very Bohemian Rhapsody, and the clearest indicator of how talented The Rev was and how wild his creative mind was.
Thigh heater is self explanatory. She is dead and cold so he warms up before he does the deed with her.
Awesome reaction. Would LOVE to see some more A7X. Would highly recommend some of their more unique songs like:
- Fiction - this was written by The Rev (their original drummer) and he gave it to the band 3 days before he died. It was originally called “Death”, and is the story of a man dying and saying goodbye to his friends. It’s a really powerful song and feature mostly The Revs vocals.
- Bromoton Cocktail - easily one of their most underrated songs and has a lot of orchestration/strings behind it which is awesome. The song is about someone dying of a terminal illness and wanting to go out their way. Ironically, the drugs used in a Brompton cocktail are very similar to the drugs found in The Revs system when he died.
With that said, GREAT reaction, and I’m hoping you do more soon (like real soon 😉).

The heater for her thighs was to keep her dead body warm but also to allow fluid movement through the limbs so he could reposition and stuff.
The self titled album is by FAR the best work they've done nightmare and city of evil are next but this a musical masterpiece! Every aspect of this song is intentional and necessary. One of the REVS best songs he's ever written and he wrote it ALL by himself. It was originally called "big bear" because that's where they were camping when he wrote it. Absolutely a masterpiece

This song is definitely a sharp 90 degree from their usual sound. Honestly everything from "The Stage" concept album is incredible. Really existential.

Yeah, as others have stated-- This isn't normal subject matter or sound for the band, but they went in a different direction with this one for fun. There's a ton of content around it due to the complex writing & recording process. The song was mostly written by the band's drummer, James "The Rev" Sullivan. Unfortunately, he passed away in Dec., 2009. They have a bit of everything in their discography, but I recommend starting with something off their self-titled of City of Evil!
Jimmy's vocals with Matt's in the last bridge/chorus always give me goosebumps

More a7x please. They are amazing and this is easily their weirdest and most disturbing song, but they are a a pretty mainstream sounding band that’s easy to get into. I suggest Nightmare or Bat Country.

You should see the live version (at LBC) of this song (the "female" voice may surprise you) ... as for A7X being heavier they started out as a Metalcore band (personally my least favourite 2 albums) but are now more Hard Rock/Metal. If you want some great early stuff I recommend starting with the City Of Evil album (their 3rd album) with songs like "Beast and the Harlot", "Bat Country", "Seize the day", "Sidewinder" and "M.I.A"

I think the song and the video are metaphors for real life relateable shit. They are both completely in love, but he's insecure and sees red flags in the relationship, and instead of risking getting hurt, he sabatoges the relationship, that way he can get out with his happy memories and diefied rose colored glasses version of her in his mind. But she goes tit for tat and hurts him just as bad as he hurt her, and it makes him realize how bad he fucked up, which prompts them both to finally communicate how they feel and what they actually want, which allows them to work things out.
At least that's how interpret it. It's a twisted, exaggerated love story.
