- This is - in my humble opinion - the best DC Icons figures that graced the otherwise "passable" collection! At first I loved the toys, but after collecting each one, I grew tired of a lot of the problems the toys came packaged with.
I LOVE DC icons line... i started my collection because of them. Today some are rather dificult to find (i've just bought the Dethstroke and Nighwing after several months of searching them). I didn't have so much troubles with them (luckly).. at least not with the ones i have.The down side of the line it's (or was) its heigh. First because the first wave were smaller than the lasts ones. Then, after the cancellation, was kind of hard to match with other DC action figures (i have some DCUC/DCSH that are quite good near the Icons.. specially the female figures). I'm so sorry the line was cancelled. Regards from Argentina.
I agree! If I had a shelf with just the Icons line, it looks superb. The quality of sculpt, color and accessories is great in retrospect.

I had the Harley Quinn from this line. At one time DC was the one who had epic action figures.

Good vid, been looking into icons & essentials more now that DC multiverse is going away. the main issue i have is that my mishmash collection of dc figures already have issues scaling with one another, some seem way too tall, others have teeny heads, etc. so i think the somewhat undersized icon line would exacerbate that issue. Mostly i've been eyeballing Firestorm (who looks like he would scale well with multiverse and legends) and Mister Miracle (who, alas, does seem to small). Good looking figures , though!
Thanks for watching! I agree, if you're really picky about scale, both the Icons line and Essentials line are infuriating. BUT the saving grace of the Icons line is the unique sculpts for all the figures. Once you have them next to each other and posing, it's a great collection. Just make sure to be extremely careful when posing them. Because of the scale, they can break easily. I had my Superman Rebrith Leg break and my Lex Luthor hand break off.
Blue beetle is one of the best releases and he was one that ended up on clearance everywhere he was sold. I got my first one from bigbadtoystore for 8 bucks. Cyborg forever evil was another best and of course same thing clearance price everywhere, he was just below 20. I missed out on the super sons which still bums me out everytime I think about them. Burnside batgirl with her bike, another best of release, same thing. I picked up several at 25 bucks a piece. I'd put death of superman 2 pack on there but they cheated us out of one of the promised headsculpts and the way you found out about it was when it arrived in the mail.
leepicciotto you got some good deals dude! Overall, I’m glad I completed the DC icons set. I have my problems with them, mostly quality control, but that ones I do like have great color and sculpt.
I enjoy my Nightwing figure but his joints are a bit weak
Yeah, that's kind of why I hate on the DC Icons line so much. Marvel legends has well built figures. I still haven't gotten the Essentials yet, but I've heard mixed things. I don't care so much about accessories because I usually just put them in bags. So I can just reuse them.
Even Kermit can beat superman!
