Y'know, seeing this really warms my heart. It really shows that Bruno Buccellati - who has no reason for being as moral as he is for being a mobster - has a heart of gold and a strong code of conduct. He simply couldn't watch somebody suffer like that on the streets, no less given how corrupt the town is. When you've managed to successfully portray a bunch of ruthless Italian gangsters who unflinchingly kill their foes as likable and sympathetic, you know you're a very good writer - and this scene is easily one of the best-written scenes I've seen in a shonen anime in a while. Moments like these are why Vento Aureo is easily my favorite JoJo part yet, and it sucks that the poor initial translation helped make the part initially the black sheep of the JoJo franchise. It really deserved more than that reputation.
You are really overrating this the reason why you can like the passione it's because we haven't seen them doing the regular stuff gangs like this do. Murder of innocent people, bribering, kidnapping, etc. These are good guys pretending to be bad.

1:15 After learning about Bruno's lack-of-parents backstory we can tell why he started screaming at Narnancia for not using his precious time with his parents. Time which Bruno never really got.
I wonder if they ever talked about that? Bruno's parents cared for him deeply, even if his Mom stopped visiting after awhile. Narancia, on the other hand, his mom died and his dad was an emotionally neglectful shit who did nothing for him. If he was an even slightly involved parent, Narancia would have never gotten past that first 'acting out' stage. Narancia's staying with a criminal and not me? Meh. Narancia's stealing stuff with his new pals? Meh. Narancia got framed for a crime and was sent to juvie for a year? Meh. I am sure if Narancia had the emotionally intelligence to explain his situation to Bruno in the first place, he still wouldn't approve of him joining the gang but he would at least understand where he was coming from.

What i love the most in Jojo part 5 is how they show the main characters past, makes them feel more real than the previous characters in previous parts.
1) He loses his mother to an infection 2) He's deeply disappointed in his father 3) He joins a questionable organisation to help himself and others 4) He has superhuman abilities 5) He's very determinded to protect the girl in the group 6) He has a younger "brother" who acts like a big brother 7) He's small 8) He's Narancia: The Fullmetal Standuser 😄

Y'know, seeing this really warms my heart. It really shows that Bruno Buccellati - who has no reason for being as moral as he is for being a mobster - has a heart of gold and a strong code of conduct. He simply couldn't watch somebody suffer like that on the streets, no less given how corrupt the town is. When you've managed to successfully portray a bunch of ruthless Italian gangsters who unflinchingly kill their foes as likable and sympathetic, you know you're a very good writer - and this scene is easily one of the best-written scenes I've seen in a shonen anime in a while.
Moments like these are why Vento Aureo is easily my favorite JoJo part yet, and it sucks that the poor initial translation helped make the part initially the black sheep of the JoJo franchise. It really deserved more than that reputation.

After learning about Bruno's lack-of-parents backstory we can tell why he started screaming at Narnancia for not using his precious time with his parents. Time which Bruno never really got.
I wonder if they ever talked about that? Bruno's parents cared for him deeply, even if his Mom stopped visiting after awhile. Narancia, on the other hand, his mom died and his dad was an emotionally neglectful shit who did nothing for him. If he was an even slightly involved parent, Narancia would have never gotten past that first 'acting out' stage. Narancia's staying with a criminal and not me? Meh. Narancia's stealing stuff with his new pals? Meh. Narancia got framed for a crime and was sent to juvie for a year? Meh.
I am sure if Narancia had the emotionally intelligence to explain his situation to Bruno in the first place, he still wouldn't approve of him joining the gang but he would at least understand where he was coming from.
