The amount of people who have such negative opinions for Farm Sim amaze me when they keep coming back to play every iteration of the game and watch these videos. Most of them have no clue about the technical challenges and realistic expectations of what a game engine and developers can do, so they just say whatever. It’s unfortunate. Of course Giants may miss the mark here and there, but they deliver a solid iteration every time, and FS25 easily looks to be the best. However, those same folk trying to bag on Scroft for really enjoying the technical improvements made in this years game is hypocritical. Companies like Bethesda and Ubisoft have vastly more resources, money, marketing, and development available to them and still often deliver games with less changes, improvements or upgrades than even a 3 year farm sim release. People often expect too much on with little context that they don't really have, and what it takes to get there. That is my point. Features are easier to add and remove in comparison to engine changes, and I agree that it can be frustrating when Giants does this. My point is more on the technical aspects of the game, such as the deformation and weather changes with people constantly calling it 'half-baked' and criticizing Scroft for thinking it is a great addition to the game. These aren't things that are easily achievable with a small team doing many of these things for the first time on their own proprietary game engine (keep in mind, ultimately it was just a single guy who developed the deformation in this years game). Interesting on the fill types. Should see what happens when you compact a silage clump. Will it leave tyre tracka and levellers have become more useful
@Scroft for sure on the textures. Really nice. Can't wait for The farm hand on fs25. With all the new features. You need a modder to build you characters. Even if they static it would be cool to have George infront of you when in conversation.
Ground deformation looks good and I’m glad we have it now. I gotta say I’m a little miffed that such a feature was left out of farm sim all these years. But again I’m glad it’s here. What do you think of the GPS and equipment selection? From what I’ve seen and heard it all looks a bit stripped down. FS over the years (since 11 for me) had a very poor showing on some brands out of the box. I was hoping that would not be the Case this time. (Pun intended) lol
I'm happy it is here now! I think the GPS is really good in game and that the starting equipment is a little thin however I think (not for certain) that Gaint's may bring out some more. Thanks for watching!
I must admit I like the ground deformation and the snow looks really good. I just wished we could have had the God ray's without the FS19 skybox, I bet Bullet Bill is not going to be pleased.
Nice, but you didn't mention that the weeds didn't grow where you previously drove and you could see the old tracts after it snowed.. looking good. Pity there is no rain on the windows... pointless having the wipers.
And just for those who don’t already know, we didn’t get three new crisp maps. We only got two the third one was Zeilonka Sorry for the spoiler but yeah, we don’t have three new maps. Just wanted to put that out there.
Snow is a massive improvement but I still see no incentive to plow other than roleplaying and I simply hate roleplaying. I wanna be forced to do it like it would be in real life. It should be much more slippery and everything that isn't a tractor or a heavy offroad machine should be simply incapable of going up hills especially into icy concrete. Roads should be a nightnmare to drive on without salting them first. I understand they cater to casual gamers but they could simply have a realistic ice/snow toggle for those of us that want a challenge.
@rossieharman2560 i live in Florida, eastern timezone. Just go into your system settings and change time & location to Wellington, New Zealand. It releases globally on the 12th, which would be Monday night at midnight, i.e Tuesday the 12th. I should be able to play it Monday around 3pm my time.
Can't say I'm not a little disappointed. They had 3 years and made very minimal improvements. This is still the same game engine from like 15 years ago right? They need to completely redo it on the next one
Each time a new version of FS is released, it's also an updated version of the game engine. That's also the reason that for each new version of FS, modders need to use the updated version of Giants Editor. Do you think that the current version of Unity is still the same one that was released in 2005?
@@jonathanmccomb4187it's not enough improvement for me. Physics are still shit. But great new ground textures and a tornado. Otherwise it's the same game. I'll do what I always do and skip every other version
Could u test all the new harvest textures. As crops have multiple harvested textures depending on the head or if u do silage or mow it. Etc corn should have different textures if u chop it or if u use the case 4408 head.
Why did you not try with full loaded trailer ? This would also show if this ground deformation its about weight tire width please do this comparison again
My main gripe with the game is how fake everything looks. Its almost like too perfect. The lighting looks artifical, like studio lighting, and the vehicles look like little models, being like die cast or plastic, because the textures are so perfect and shiny. The machines need to look a little "less perfect". Maybe some scuffs, or less shiny patches, or more noticable welds, just little things to make things feel more used and real and to scale.
He was using brand-new equipment if you bought a brand-new tractor and it had scuffs on it, you would not be happy you would send it back. They do get scuffed and take where overtime that’s really is not buying a brand-new tractor with dents in it. 😂
@JustMyFish but all the equipment looks like that, no matter the year. And the tire rubber stays really black and clean/fresh looking too. It just makes everything seem kinda like a toy/model. Kinda like a weird mid-way point between photorealism and Pixar style
Nov. 9, 2024 I'm not particularly interested in the ground deformation HOWEVER, the baby calves with nothing but their tiny little heads poking out of the snow.......not THAT I'm interested in. 🤣🤣🤣 Mr. Scroft, I think you should have put a Disclaimer in the description stating that "No animals were injured during the making of this video" 🤣🤣🤣 Take care sir. Please say hello to Ms. Beanie and Scroft Jr. for me.
Woah winter looks really nice. Cant wait. The only thing that pains me is the repetition of the snow texture for example 🥲 It looks really cheap and doesn't fit with the rest of the vibe
If you think this is impressive then play Snowrunner, it will blow you away :) I actually think this game is not worth it and it looks more like FS22 upgrade pack. Even the graphics are almost identical.
The FS series' direction is undeniably good, and the pace is undeniably bad. This is not a progress, it's a crawl. FS25 is what FS17 should've been if the series and game engine evolved at a more reasonable pace.
and still.. they missed the most important part, the dirt on the machines.. looks like i need mods for that, again.. driving around in pristine machines is boring, i want them dirty and rusty and damaged... but the licence givers seem to hate that idea...

Looks good mate have you got easy development mod already lol 👍
What about frozen or thawed ground in spring? Random wet spots?
So does narrow tires have more of a impact on this than the wide tires?
does ground deformation happen when you are harvesting crops as well?
I wonder if you turn sharply in mud if it shows the tire slide
I'll have to try it out 👍
The tread patterns are only parallax not deformation, the actual deformation of the ground mesh only occurs on fields
I must admit I like the ground deformation and the snow looks really good. I just wished we could have had the God ray's without the FS19 skybox, I bet Bullet Bill is not going to be pleased.
I wish the mud mod was implemented into the base game!
Nice, but you didn't mention that the weeds didn't grow where you previously drove and you could see the old tracts after it snowed.. looking good. Pity there is no rain on the windows... pointless having the wipers.
Thanks for watching!
I think Giants have done a great job making the world look less static and more real. Chomping at the bit to start playing!
After almost 10 later 🤦
Lucky, you got early access😂😂😂 I’m on PlayStation five I got two days and 19 hours. I think somewhere in there already have it pre-ordered.😂😂
@rossieharman2560 New Zealand trick will work. Play it Monday instead of Tuesday.
@@johnfink9020 my game downloaded this morning, but it still won’t let me play it
@rossieharman2560 i live in Florida, eastern timezone. Just go into your system settings and change time & location to Wellington, New Zealand. It releases globally on the 12th, which would be Monday night at midnight, i.e Tuesday the 12th. I should be able to play it Monday around 3pm my time.
@@johnfink9020 oh OK. I tried it. It hasn’t worked. I’ll just wait until in the morning and play it when I wake up, but thanks for the info.
@@johnfink9020 I tried it didn’t work for me. I’m just going to wait until in the morning. Only have a little over nine hours left.
When driving over straw, do you lose yield?
Nope, it just deforms the swath or row
@Scroft ok
Thank you 😊
I think it's a miss that there is no snow on the road, on the traktors outside.
@scroft have you tried ground deform on chaff before silage nice video anyways
the snow stay ? or despawn after 5-10 min like fs 22?
Noticed when you went over the bumps the tyres went fatter because of the weight is that a new feature?
Putting this out there now it’s going to be mighty hard to top this fs25 they just went nuts and said yes to everything
I guess we will have to wait and see, I'm sure they will come up with something! 😆
Just a little under 7 1/2 hours who else is excited--👇
I Enjoyed even though i cant play the game
Thanks for watching, not long now bud 👍
@@Scroft your welcome bud
what was the command to get that deep snow, being new to this game and i have snow but its hardly laying and wanted to see this deep snow in my game
OG Spintires from 2012 - Amateurs
Tyre track on straw.. hilarious 😂
Ground deformation is a nice feature but as other features they add it just looks unfinished..
The fact people are calling 25 a reskin of 22 is crazy… they probably only saw one trailer.
Try with Nokian tyres
Could u test all the new harvest textures. As crops have multiple harvested textures depending on the head or if u do silage or mow it. Etc corn should have different textures if u chop it or if u use the case 4408 head.
how you get that nice shader?
I get tyre tracks on concrete and tracks in fs22 not convinced with fs25 so far.
Why did you not try with full loaded trailer ? This would also show if this ground deformation its about weight tire width please do this comparison again
Just think a couple more farm sim game the ground deformation will be like snow runner!! lol there getting close.
whats the traffic like
GG scroft :D
Mx vs atv had ground deformation like 15 years ago. Why has it taken so long for something like fs to get it ?
Where did you get the Skoda Enyaq from, is it in the base game?
Yes
Curious, are those visual glitches just the recording or is that happening in the game? I hope it's not the game because that would be concerning.
It's a bug in game that Giants are aware of. It will be patched soon
@@brennanIX Well... it is a game.... :D
It looks good. But it is pretty disappointing that we still don't have proper rain effects on the cab. ETS2 had this in like 2012 wtf Giants
What version of the game is this? XSX? Are there 60fps frame rate options?
XBOX buttons on the screen 😊
@locksmith4lvl he could be on PC using an Xbox controller though.
@@bmwusa03 maybe yes, maybe no
I just want FS to have a baby with Mudrunner
Can you get stuck
Beanie and Scroft Jr. for me.
Just wait until mod community get ahold of this if they haven’t already 😂 console and pc be a mud pit!
I think they're going to do some amazing stuff! Thanks for your support!
Fs23 had snow deformation...
Wait till yall find out about spin tires😂😂
If I start playing Farming Sim, I'll have to be careful who I tell it to. I'll end up getting recruited to do it for real.
It's an improvement but still not as good as Cattle and Crops.
Woah winter looks really nice. Cant wait. The only thing that pains me is the repetition of the snow texture for example 🥲 It looks really cheap and doesn't fit with the rest of the vibe
I think they have done a lot of work with the snow and how it falls especially on the roads and how you interact with it! Thanks for watching!
We’ll not bad but I see flash now then and screen gos bit but then it’s a bug
