Very cool link. Do none of the add on boards provide such features? Just wondering what the closest mod to this is with add on boards such as the latest V5? What would the advantages and disadvantages be between the two mods? That mod seems more devoted to those bands But i have nothing to compare it against for the moment.
Thanks the only add on board is the SI4732 which is really an upgrade to the Radio broadcast band chip that's already in the radio.
The Quansheng has 2 radio chips. The first one is the main chip that covers 18-1300Mhz TX and RX. Then the second chip is just for listening to Radio broadcast band and is seperate from the main radio.
@@DuanesMind Those add on boards can bring you lower in the band and have USB LSB features. (with new firmware). The latest kit that I am waiting for also comes with a 2Mb eprom. Not sure what the benefits are but that seems to be what people are doing now.
@@izzzzzz6 yes but it's only for listening and is a seperate radio from the main radio. The mod I'm doing is for TX and RX and supressing the unwanted harmonics.
