You don’t see mistakes like this in literally any other league.
And it’s happened at least twice in the “Best league in the world” just this season.
Disgrace!
It's ok they've agreed to replay it on the 30th Feb next year
Yes I know but it's still a disgraceful performance from the referees and it won't be better next time.
Replay what? The game?

Haven't seen a reaction like this since I watched a mother take the sweets off her toddler at the playground
Comes across like a bit of a cry baby. VAR seem to have made the correct call on all three counts. Not clear enough to overrule the goal given.
ha would love a bit of what you're smoking, you didn't see the ball clearly going out then? Newcastle fan I take it.
Blind to the double-handed shove in the back?
Arsenal fan I take it? 😂 You can't confirm the whole of the ball is over the whole of the line unless you have the correct camera angle. I don't understand why the same goal line tech isn't used outside the posts. That would solve it surely? If VAR can't confirm for sure, they can't overrule.
If a foul is given there, it would be INCREDIBLY soft imo. The defender is ducking down to attempt to head the ball
To be fair, I do think it would be a good idea to introduce Hawkeye tech for entirety of goal line (and potentially sidelines too?) Linesman could have watches as well as the ref to indicate when ball is over the line.
Potentially some additional cameras at premier league games to ensure there are more camera angles available for VAR (and for ref if applicable)
After the spurs Liverpool game he said they are trying to make the correct decisions and we need to accept mistakes happen. Now it’s affecting him directly he’s changed his mind😂typical behaviour from Lego head
According to the evening standard: "Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has sympathised with Liverpool over Luis Diaz's disallowed goal in Sunday's defeat to Tottenham, insisting VAR does not guarantee correct decisions."
He said "we need to understand mistakes happen" "they are trying to make the best decision" you reap what you sow
Lego head 😂😂😂😂😂
Don't hear him asking for a replay.
@@Count-Roflmfao he isn't klopp.
It's a convenient talking point that avoids Arteta having to talk about Arsenal being unable to break down Newcastle.
Arsenal had few chances to be sure, but so did Newcastle. They end up getting a goal that shouldve been disallowed that wins the match for them.
Yeah, unable to break a team that doesn’t actually play by the rules 😂😂. Let’s see how you defend with 10 men on the field. Bruno not playing for the ball and freight training people. Disgrace of a game. Absolute disgrace.
So not being able to break down Newcastle equates allow a wrong to stand. Is thar your logic
This may be hard for you to understand, but if that goal doesn't stand... its 0-0
No, re-read what I said and try again. Arteta's going to draw as much attention as he can to this. In significant part because it hides the fact that Arsenal couldn't score against Newcastle PERIOD.@@nananhyiraaman-kwafo2571
Being objective and fair to Arteta the VAR decisions were scandalous. The fair result should have been a drab 0-0.
false but you are a casual so it makes sense you wouldn't understand the rules
@@TheAlphaDingo stop trying too hard. All you need is eyes to see the hands on the back of Gabriel and u see the hands extend in a pushing manner not to mention the guamerish elbow to head.
@@theach84 maybe watch the game instead of the highlights like a casual? Havertz should have gotten a red card and yet 3 Newcastle players received yellows for dissent - but the whole Arsenal team mobbed Atley after the goal and nothing wad given. Gabriel dived and wanted the foul. He should have cleared the ball, instead he went played like the rest of the Arsenal team with cheating, diving and time wasting. Not a foul at all, many pundits including Gary Neville agree it wasn't so cry me a river. Arsenal did nothing to win the game and deserved nothing
@@theach84its definitely not a free kick on Gabriel. He ducks first to come under the flight of the ball, so he can try to extend it, but doing so he also allows the Castle player to lean into him with his arms. It would have been extremely soft. Goal is ultimately the correct decision. Im a neutral and I played football on decent level and Artetas rection is actually embarrassing.
I also see some misconceptions that people think the sum of those 3 incidents before the goal should warrant VAR disallow the goal. Thats not how it works, each incident has to be checked in isolation and they have to proove the falsehood of the goal, which they could not this time which again means its a goal. I was actually thinking VAR handled this really well when I saw it real time so I was very surprised that Arteta had this shocking reaction to the decision.
@@OnkelBeeenjiVAR handled this well?? Stop sniffing the pritt stick and open your eyes, The ball was over the line and should have been a goal kick!! FACTS you 🤡
He said he lost 3 points today yet they didn’t score. What about Havertz tackle and the ref stopping a Newcastle attack for Rice to tie his laces. He is a sore loser. VAR tried 3 different ways to disallow it but all checks came back a goal🎉
This referring in English league is be coming absolute shambles
"We lost 3 points today" no you lost one, at no point did Arsenal look like scoring.
We did have chances lol
Playing with 10 men, might have been a different picture.
Arsenal lost zero points, the ball was in play, BEIN coverage has proved it, Joelinton did not foul the Arsenal defender and Gordon was onside. Arteta is an embarrassment. Steve Bruce is available and ready to takeover at Arabian Emirates.
Exactly, they were acting like they were the better side. Gordon had 2 more close chances and Wilson had 1. If only those were converted into goals, the result would have been 3-0 or 4-0. Whereas, Arsenal didn't create enough chances and threats the whole game. NONE
Fight me
At no point did he even indicated how Arsenal would have scored. Without a goal No 3 points….the same in China, Japan, Spain, Portugal 😂😂😂😂

Surely if it is inconclusive, the refs decision then has to be final. For the record, I think the ball is in, but we are talking millimetres. I am not convinced that's a foul either and definitely not offside. Yet some people are up in arms
It's probably better to focus on that than the performance. Arsenal could have played for 60 hours and not scored.

Another level of match fixing
Rumour is that Havertz once brought a gun to a match and shot a player. Then Stewart Attwell flew in all the way from his holiday in Brazil, after a 12hr flight, 3 train rides, a taxi and then swimming accross the Tyne. He then knocked on the door of a house. When the owner opened the door it was Anthony Gordon and the ref pulled out a yellow card.

the clear and obvious error only works for fouls as fouls are subjective not for things like offside and if the balls in play or not as with this its one or the other so var should intervene and it was offside and it was out of play so var should have canceled it

@@user-cj1up2vv8o I did not celebrate anything. The team had issues with many absent players due to injuries and we tried to make the best of it. As to the PL VAR, I totally agree that it is run by incompetent idiots. The goal isn't as shocking as the 2 red cards that should have been given to Bruno in Newcastle and the moron in Arsenal. If you think Havertz delivered anything that warrants him to play instead of Trossard or Fabio, you will have much bigger problems than the VAR to worry about in the future
There is for sure Arsenal come to not to lose due to current form of the players, and not all the time selection or managers hire good players, this is fact. But here we should be discussing about ruined game, but not players when, this is other subject, since if we focus on that it will distract from main problem which is referring. When did Arsenal get a decision go their way? In 3 of the last 4 games they have been robbed by refs and VAR.
