I was working OT while listening to this live. I was laughing so hard, I fucked up something I was working on and spent two hours the next day fixing it. Totally worth it.
One of my Bonfire staples. I go back and rewatch this one frequently. And it's a go-to for me to recommend this video to people who I want to get into the show.
Its pretty crazy to know Voss and Bobby used to be real life studs, 20 years later and one looks like a 90 year old who drinks keystone light every day while the other looks like the Michelin man covered in mayonnaise
@Ave, True To Caesar! Jim is funnier than Dan and Big Jay, and that's saying something. But I think he is also a good interviewer when it comes to long formats that aren't about constant jokes. He is actually quite interesting, not just funny.
big jay is one of the most underated funny as fuck comedian, him and soder are a fucking perfect mix. but dudes start ask the bosses to have a few of these a week :) thanks from a hairy tattoed scotsman that missed soder at the fringe :(
She was shitting on Shane Gillis on Twitter with Christopher Titus and then when the video of the audio of her yelling the n-word repeatedly in some podcast came out she just shrugged it off.
I disagree with Judy Gold; I think it is the inverse. First off, all other points aside, a comic is just trying to be funny, usually doesn't mean what they are saying, and there is no topic that should be off limits- if you don't think it is funny, then stop listening, but you don't get to pretend that all of a sudden they were being serious and making a statement. That said, getting to Judy's point, I think she is wrong about giving more leeway to a bit on stage as opposed to a podcast- it should be the opposite. A bit on stage is usually written beforehand, is rehearsed, and is just being performed; a bit on a podcast is off-the-cuff and spontaneous. Therefore, if you are going to give anything more tolerance, it should be something said trying to be funny in the heat of the moment, instead of something that was thought out beforehand. If a special isn't funny for 50% of it, I will usually stop watching, because it usually means that I don't find that comic funny (btw, I just turn it off; I don't write a blog about it, or start a group to get them fired), but often a podcast is more hit-and-miss than that, and 50% funny is just fine, because it is just off-the-tops-of-their-heads. If you watch Shane on a podcast and think he is being serious, you are an idiot and can go f*ck yourself. He said stuff on this podcast too, which I never thought was serious- if I thought he was being serious, I would have said that was f*cked up and offensive, but he was obviously joking, and f*cked up stuff that would otherwise be offensive is perfectly fine (and often the most hilarious) if said in the context of a comedy bit. People need to stop acting like comics are politicians; again, most of the stuff that I find the funniest is somewhat dark or offensive, and if I thought they meant what they said and were making a statement, I would think they are pieces of sh*t (like these overly sensitive douchebags do); however, they aren't serious, they are trying to be funny- they aren't making statements, they are making jokes. No comic should ever be taken out of the context of the bit. And to Judy's point with regards to funniness, the threshold is actually lower for a podcast than stand-up. She is just being an ignorant tw*t, who wants to pretend that she is the arbiter of funny (for which she has WAY less of a claim than Shane, because she has a third as many funny bits as he does, even though she has been doing it WAY longer). She talks about context, but clearly has no idea what the word means, but she ignores the context of the video she supposedly watched, and just cut "offensive" buzzwords out of context to try to make her stupid point. Like Doug Stanhope said "If you are offended by any word, in any language, it is probably because your parents were unfit to raise a child"- clearly, Judy should have been aborted. I love that someone did to her what she did to him, because she actually deserves a taste of her own medicine; the only time it is actually okay to take a comic out of context and act like something they said was a serious statement, and therefore get offended by it, is if that comic did the same to another comic (and calling Judy a comic is being overly generous, because she is a worthless hack).
Did Rich Vos have a stroke and I never heard about it....? I used to follow him back in the late 90s/early 00s when he was on Comedy Central alot, but haven't really seen any of his more recent stuff so forgive me i'm outta the loop when it comes to him these days.
I'm worried about Jay... 😅 My Guy is not a alcoholic at all! BUT... more hydration will help his red-faced sessions. No hate at all. I'm strictly speaking on experience alone lol. FACTS:1) Hydration, while getting turtnt = awesome mornings and healthy skin 2)Cigarettes dehydrate you and take the beautiful part of your face away. 3)JAY IS A HANDSOME MAN LOL
When the are talking about ole Giant “Justice Judy” Forget the whole “Comic” pretentious trying to be funny part ( Cuz that right isn’t just for comics it’s for all people)..... Cuz if a guy at work is trying to be funny & make his coworkers laugh, everyone should realize it’s a joke, that’s not just something in comedy, if anyone is trying to be funny than people shouldn’t get upset at what they said cuz it’s a joke & they should be able to understand where that person was coming from (trying to be funny).. INTENT IS EVERYTHING...... as human beings it’s in our nature to interact, socialize, entertain, & to make people laugh..... and only an idiot would take a joke & try to make it serious & say it’s Offensive, Cuz apparently they don’t have the ability to comprehend a joke & a person saying what they believe in a serious manner....... People have taken the freedom of speech, & have really just destroyed it & have tried to redefine it, & have decided to throw in that caveat of that BS well it’s not freedom of consequence ( which is such a misrepresentation of what that is supposed to mean, that saying is ment for things like sexual Harassment in the workplace, or Threats Of Physical Violence etc) & now they try to replace freedom of speech with Freedom Of not hearing anything offensive & if they do, then they feel like they have the right to take away your livelihood, Have people attack you & call you hateful names (in a non joking way, just being hypocrites)..... You have the right to get offended & voice your opinions but you don’t have the right to not hear something offensive (generally speaking)..... our country has to man up & quit being such crybabies about things....... A good quote I’ve heard Hard times create strong people Strong people create Easy Times Easy times creates weak people Weak people creates Hard Times
This dude in the beach hat is the worst comic ive ever heard in my life. What fossil museum did they pull dna from to clone that hack? Dan and Jay are better without these dudes. I mean shit Voss isnt even funny anymore. He repeats everyone else and recycles their joke immediately.

It feels like Rich Vos was hatched with the sole purpose of being teased by his friends.

I feel sad to say it because I like Jimmy, but Bonfire is a much better show than Jim and Sam. Its not even close.
it's a tuff watch when they hv non comic guests tho.
Nothing sad about that, Bonfire is a much better show than damn near anything on any radio & podcasts too 🤷🏽♂️
@Ave, True To Caesar! Jim is funnier than Dan and Big Jay, and that's saying something. But I think he is also a good interviewer when it comes to long formats that aren't about constant jokes. He is actually quite interesting, not just funny.
That’s not saying much
I think Maybe Jim is scared of his past inappropriate bits being brought against him and you can’t blame him .... and Sam is just phony
