Fable Series is such a dreamlike, whimsical fantasy world filled with magic, adventures and folktales! Will always hold a very special place in my childhood.
I know I’m making this comment in 2019 but hear me out. I owe this game my childhood. One day I saw my brother playing on our old Xbox 360 and I was mesmerized at how it could possibly work. I came up to him and asked him if there were any games I could play. He then handed me the game that would change my life and the way I view and interact with the world. I was given Fable II to explore, to experience, and to enjoy. Little did my brother know how much this game impacted me and how important it was to shaping the way I am today. I was just a little girl then but even I knew this game was special. This was the first real game I had ever played and it is what got me into the lifestyle of gaming and how many people loved and cherished it. I am now 17 and not a day goes by that I wish that I could experience this as a whole new game. I will be waiting patiently for your return, Fable. Thank you Lionhead Studios for having such an amazing impact on my life. I love you and I miss you, Rest In Peace.

Fable for grownups: "were childhood sweethearts who met while growing up on Long Island, New York. His parents later moved to North Port, about 35 miles (55 kilometers) south of Sarasota." "A fable is a short story that illustrates a moral lesson. ... For example, in the fable of the wolf and the sheep, a wolf in sheep's clothing is able to infiltrate the sheep's pasture without raising any alarm, and easily make a meal out of the sheep. The moral of the story is that appearances can be deceiving."
I love the resurgence in instrumental music I have seen recently and I think a contributing factor is games like these. Many, myself included, grew up playing games like Fable and the beautiful music that came with them. I know it's the primary reason why I looked into composers and orchestra music, it reminds me of my childhood.
This got me through the hardest times. When I lost my grandma, one of my uncles let me play his Xbox the original and handed me fable. He was happily surprised how I played and beat the game bc he only got as far as being a child. Ever since I’ve always played 1 and remember the release for 2&3, I’ve always gotten lost in the story and never wanted it to end. I’ve spent countless hours on this series and I plan on playing countless more. I love you, Fable. And I’ll be here when you’re back! This isn’t a goodbye, it’s see you later.
Just pure bliss, will continue to listen to this beautiful music everyday! keeps my soul at peace 👌 and it gives me the urge to play fable again every few years or so 😁
The Witcher 3 is something else, next level. But simply the fact that we talk about Fable so many years after and put it in the same category show how much it was beautiful and ahead of its time. The Witcher 3 is on top but Fable beat Skyrim though

@Dozo that's where i'll disagree with you. The first one is of course amazing, magical, and the first of its kind, but the second one is the best one in the series. The replayability, the story, the combat, the experience system, then comedy, everything about it was very good and it felt lovely. Fable 3 though was the deathbed, but it was still a Fable game and memorable.
First I'm hearing of it (wasn't there a Fable 4 for Kinect?) but that would be awesome, especially if they take it back to the time of Fable I. Revisit the ol' Guild and Jack of Blades.
