I am from Bihar and I can surely tell you that it's not the unsafe anymore especially the capital Patna but ya if you'll go really in the outskirts it may be a little I would say uncomfortable vibes but not unsafe. Regardless of that I hope you enjoyed your trip.

No buddy even on the outskirts is not unsafe and he will get only good vibes... On the village side he will get special hospitality from villagers... Bihar is 100% safe.

i never have went to bihar but i can tell you biharis are the one of the sweetest person i have met you will be fine there just dont go in shaded areas and also take help from the locals to avoid getting scammed.. remember good people exist here in India and so do bad guys thats how life is..i hope this tour will bust many myths about India

Man as a viewer from Kolkata, a Tip from me Plz take Trains from next time these Buses take extra money from u. Check the nearest Junction Station take some Government Buses to go that station and board ur train. Its more comfortable, suitable and cheap for u
The problem with trains is that some of them are for Indians only. Tourists always have to go to a special office to buy tickets. It's always a torture to get a simple train ticket.

You have nothing to worry in bihar. The violence is mainly caste based and you do not fall into any powerful castes. You're a foriegner you will never be targeted. Regarding dacoity or bandits and petty criminals you cannot say about them they're everywhere in world.
