- We made the long trek from Karnataka in the south to Bihar in the north, one of our favourite states in India. One town we've never visited in Bihar was Rajgir, a place significant in the life of the Buddha. Join us as we trace the footsteps of the Buddha in Bihar, beginning with Rajgir.

Would love to meditate in one of those caves. ❤
Thank you. Really admire your journey. Love love ❤❤❤
I am indian and i never heard of this place. Very bad promotion of these places from our so called netionalist government
Kund = vat in Hindi, so likely referring to the container that the spring water goes into.
I think the capital of Maghada, the country run by Gautama’s family was near to Rajgir. That could be how Rajgir got to be a favourite sadhana place for Shakyamuni.

It was also a place for his private retreats.
I’m glad to see you there guys .
Thank you guys hope you enjoyed
Thanks for this; I was also in Rajgyr but just for 2 days (in January) and wasn't feeling so well, so missed the walk down to the caves from the Peace Temple. So it was great to see it. But, when I was there, I saw a vulture soaring overhead. They are indigenous and my personal theory is that it's called Vulture's Peak because it's beloved by vultures (they are also endangered)!
