I was 14 when I first met Dion at the Flick Coffee House in Miami 1969. I was playing bass for my brother, Don Dunaway and his partner, George Corochano, they were called Bittersweet. Dion was the coolest! I was so fortunate to watch and learn from Dion, as well as a host of many musical icons that frequented the Flick in the late 60's.. 41 years later I still love Dion's music and all the life lessons he taught me with out him ever knowing. God bless you Dion
What a terrific tribute to John Lennon, with these R&R stars rockin' it for him! I've loved Dion ever since Run Around Sue, then I became a Beatlemaniac as well, but still loved Dion! :D
Before the beatles came to the U.S. they had a lead singer named Tony Sheridan and they played mostly cover tunes. One of which was "Ruby Baby",a song first recorded by The Drifters in the mid 50's,but Dion made it a #2 billboard hit circa '61.The beatles version is great and adds horns and Sheridan sounds just like Dion on this track and also does a great Elvis impersonation on other tunes such as "Ya Ya". Dion Dimucci's version is by far my favorite!
@MrChristianFaith I can assure you--from recent Dion interviews and a recent book of his--that he loves Christ today as much as he did in the '80s, if not more. He's a man of deep faith. God bless!
Dion do you still love Jesus the way your 80's songs expressed? Or do you love the world now? Yes people are reaching out for something - Lennon reached out to Hindu and atheistic philosophies at different times. What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his soul? I'm very sad when I think of anyone losing their soul.

We must mention that Dion is the only one 50's Rock and Roll musician to appear on Sgt Pepper cover...I think that this says for itself
Not only can he sing but he speaks really well! I ❤️ DION!
As a Dion fan and also a John Lennon fan, I really enjoyed this. So cool!

Great words from Dion (admitting he had things backwards at one time) and his thoughts about John Lennon---- R & R lives on.
