- We unbox, we setup, we make look good, the Roland TD17KVX Digital Drum Kit.
TD-17 V-Drums combine a TD-50 class sound engine with newly developed Roland drum pads. This results in an affordable electric drum kit that’s authentically close to playing acoustic drums. In this video we go through the assembly process for this kit, so you can get to jamming ASAP!

Holy shit this is the most singularly helpful 3 minute video possible. You beautiful people.
I liked how the cow moves in stoped motion haha
A keen eye! Well spotted and appreciated. Cheers, WOM
The directions were stressing me out when trying to do this. And then I saw this video and it all. You are amazing and I owe you one. Thank you so much.
Thank you for an excellent video! Finally I can see what comes with the kit, what else I need, and how to put it together. Perfectly done guys! :)
watched this vid 2 times, the first time it took me 3:18 to watch, the second time it took me 1.5h xD
Ordering mine in a few days! Looking forward to follow your instructions with my new one. Thanks! :D
Brilliant, thanks for this.
Loved the Cow :) The rest of the video is great as well. Thanks.
Awesome video! Getting mine soon!
Would have helped set mine up but I was ok. Great set. I’m 66 with some mobility issues so I love this set. Regards, Bob, South Wales
Well done
It looks easy and stuff but boy did i curse when i set mine together.
I late 8 hours without instructions but 8 HOURS :(
Fantastic Video!
the best tutorial for the roland rack
Cool video.
how many cm is large all the set ,with module in that position(not Inside the rack ) ? Thanks
You made no mention of the one-off Roland TD-17 sound module mounting plate . Looking for one and cant find it :-(
Can you please do all drumkits sample for td17kvx module??
I have put together many drum sets in my day, thankfully I am a mechanic, but let me tell you, I discovered this video after the fact.. Can they make the print and pictures on the instructions any smaller?? also, they should use ink that does not run when you sweat over it.. got it together, just now have to wire it up. Looking forward to playing.. Redlaw
Cool video!
Guys, did anybody have problem with ride cymbal? I bought td17kvx today and I really don't understand why, but work only bow sound
Hi, are you aware there is two x cables for the ride cymbal pad. One for edge sound and one for bow sound. Thanks WOM
Great video! Can you tell us the dimension of the final kit? I’m trying to figure out if I have enough space.. thanks!
Mileage may vary depending on how you like things spaced but on average from pole to pole about 110cm wide and 80cm deep. Thanks WOM
@@WorldOfMusicAustralia Thank you very much!
Hi, ok everyone I have serious question!!??
Can you tighten/ change the mesh head bass drum skin on a Td-17kvx??. I haven't been able to figure it out. It must be doable somehow!!??
something to do with the flux capacitor but I can't connect the dots!
I have one Big Problem. I‘m 6‘1 (or whatever 190cm are in we-need-special-measurement) and the Rack is just too small for me. Sadly i realized it to late and now i have higher Backpain.
What's the back ground music ? I love it.
It's catchy isn't it! I know it's not this, but the chords & rhythm remind me a lot of "Shiny Shiny"... ua-cam.com/video/tUJQigu0_04/v-deo.html&ab_channel=HaysiFantayzeeVEVO
Before I buy one of these, I was wondering if I were to buy another pad and another cymbal, where do I plug those into? It doesn't look like there's any port for them at all
Hi Michael, if you purchase the KVX version, this already ships with a second crash which would be plugged into the 'Crash 2' trigger input. You would then have the spare 'Aux' trigger input on the side of the module to add whatever other pad. Thanks WOM
@@WorldOfMusicAustralia Thanks for replying! So I can only add one more pad? I was wondering if I were to upgrade the ride cymbal on it, I could use the current ride as an extra cymbal, but then I can't have a 5th pad on it? Is that right?
@@IamRomaniac No worries Michael. Thats correct, if you updated your ride cymbal pad, you could use that original cymbal pad on the aux trigger input. To add further pads however you would need to get creative, like adding a TM2 trigger module or something along those lines. Thanks WOM
Is this posible to add 1 more pedal? (Double pedal)
Hi, yes the TD-17 kick pad supports a double kick pedal. Thanks WOM
Did you get the free headphones? I just got mine and didn't include the free headphones :(
I think it's a mail-in rebate type thing
Can anyone offer on opinion on how realistic it would be to set this up and pack it away each time I wanted to use it? As in, would I be crazy to buy this set with that intention? Any help much appreciated!
Hi Barry, quickest pack down would be to whip the toms/snare and cymbals off, then fold the frame in on itself without removing any other attachments. Probably looking around 10 mins if you are not rushing. Thanks WOM
@@WorldOfMusicAustralia Ah buddy thank you so much for the response, that's very helpful, very close to clicking that purchase button now!!
Ok, stupid question time. Can I assume this can also be configured for a left handed drummer? All I see are you damn right handers. Thanks!
Never a silly question. Yes, you can configure for left handed no problem. Thanks, WOM
@@WorldOfMusicAustralia Thank you.
whats the dimensions after the setup? got to estimate the space coz i might not have enough lol
Hi, best to allow around 120cm x 120cm. But would easily go less than this at a squeeze. Thanks WOM
I had the rolands
If I wanted to add just one extra symbol for a china type, can I do that? If so, how please? This would be my first set.
Hi Juan, you certainly can! If you wanted to use the 2 x crash cymbal pads as crash sounds, then you can add an additional cymbal pad and plug it into the aux pad out and assign a 'china' cymbal sound to that pad. Alternatively, you could just assign a 'china' cymbal sample to one of your existing cymbal pads. Thanks WOM
World Of Music Outstanding video and thanks so much for the assistance!
mmm, wall juice. ima wash down my floor pie with it. mmm..
