- With copper prices at record highs and then a huge dip in prices I decided to process a couple gaylords while the prices are still good. Come along with me while I process and sort number 1 and number 2 copper pipe. I will explain how to grade your copper to get paid the most money from your scarp yard. I completed this over the course of 2 days in between other scrap pickups. Also had to complete shipping from all my ebay and amazon orders.
With the market very unsteady and gas prices at all time record highs making extra money or full time money with scrap is easy. Please ask any questions. I am always here to help.
Stay tuned for more huge hauls of scrap metal, copper, aluminum and so much more!! I have been BUSY!!!!! More videos coming.

Need more vids man I love your channel when I watch one of your videos it gets me motivated to scrap harder.
No doubt about it, you got a fair bit of copper and brass there. I hope you got a good pay cheque. I really appreciate the tips and advice you share with viewers. Very helpful. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!!! I always share the info the best I can.
He bought all that copper.
Wow holy crap your doing well .. never seen that much copper thanks for sharing cheers
Thank you for watching. I'm trying to get more uploaded
You should do longer video an take us along to the scrap yard
Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching
Love sound of dropping copper 1 pipe on concrete
The part where you showed your loppers cutting up the piping was really good and educational.
Just showing a big pile of copper in a gaylord, however, isn’t educational.
Thanks for watching. Happy some of it was helpful
That is an amazing amount of copper I cannot believe all the things you have in your yard oh my God
It piles up so fast I can not keep up. Thanks
Gaylord! Lol (aka IBC,tote etc)
Nothing like some full gaylords to get me going! Did you get this all at an auction or something? Maybe a plumber friend? Love it
Thanks for watching. This was just collected from several clients we have. We fill a gaylord every month to process down. Some months 2.
Get to the choppah!!
I love that pipe cutter!
Thanks for watching.
So that’s what a gaylord is !! 😂😂😂
Lol
2:29, wow that's some damn monster tool you have there. My work would be extra easy if I had one of those handy.
Holy crap that's a stack of copper right there. 🍻
It piles up fast! Thanks for watching
2:58 très belle musique 🙂👌👌👌👍👍👍👍‼️‼️

@@mikehasit73 I read in the comments section of one of ur videos about how to get more scrap metal by calling business and simply asking. I’ll make some calls to local businesses this week. Thanks man!
@@WhatsthePOINT_EDC just keep at it!! Many will say no but don't give up!!! If they say no ask if they will sell it to you. If you know your prices you can make some money still. Anything you need let me know
@@mikehasit73 thanks man. I’m not new to the scrap game but I’m sure not a vet. I’ll take all the help I can get and I won’t give up. Having a UA-cam channel has been a dream for some time now so I got a GoPro to start recording some content for the channel. I know nothing about UA-cam but I’ll figure it out for sure. Thanks ALOT man n keep putting out the videos. It’s inspirational.
@@WhatsthePOINT_EDCI just subbed to your channel. Noticed you don’t have any videos yet. I am trying to start a channel soon have a ton of videos I’m wanting to post.
💪 that's a serious collection! I'm jealous
Thanks for watching. It keeps piling up
@@mikehasit73 watching all your vids now. Some great information for sure 👌
@Nate G thank you!!! Need to know anything just ask and I'll do my best to answer or make a video of it
Great video love the copper hoard I'm stacking all my copper for a entire year then gunna cash in
Thanks!! I have so much piled up and a few other gaylords also filled not yet filmed. Hope the price is great when you cash in. Thanks for watching
@@mikehasit73 question what type of bissnesses do u get to give u all this copper stuff?? I wanna do some calling to company's to pick there scrap up but not sure what types of company's to call around to
@@bigredbullion3883 Start a demolition company or property restoration. I don't know what area of the world you are in but where I live those are the best gigs to get scrap hauls like that. With large amounts of copper and brass you usually have to buy it. You'd be surprised how many tradesmen that will sell below market value if you pick it up from them.
@bigred bullion call everyone! Plumbers, electricians, hvac, handy man. Can even find it at tagsales cheap.
@@codiwonkanobi9788 they can't find the help to process copper.. lots of plumbing companies have dumpsters they give to recyclers
I have never heard of getting #2 copper for pipe that has had oil , i get #1 for it if it dosent have paint or solder .
Many times people get lucky. Technically anything on or in the pipe make it number 2. Keep Scrapping. Thanks for watching
Waiting for more videos buddy
I'm trying to get some editing done to post some new stuff. Thanks for watching
👌
what was the shear tool that you used? it cut the pipe so easily i need one lol
Theres a link in the description for a shear that cuts pipe great!
Thanks for watching
So what are the rules about pro press fittings because they only include a small piece of rubber to help seal it and that’s it, would it be counted as number 2?
Yes, number 2. Anything at all that is not 100% copper, such as the rubber seal, makes it number 2. Oil, paint, tape, etc makes number 2. Thanks for watching
@@mikehasit73 thanks for the help
copper copper
Gaylord means something very different in uk
Interesting
Oil in the lines does not make that #2 copper.. Good video thanks for sharing
Hey Jeffery thanks for watching!! Anything on or in the tube other than 100% copper changes the grade from #1 to #2. Oil, paint, tar, tape, paper coating, plastic coating, chunks of aluminum etc etc makes the copper not pure copper. This makes it #2 pipe. Possible yards miss the oil and give #1 price but technically Oil residue makes it #2 pipe.
I get no 1 with oil in it
Only you and a couple guys I watch seem to be making any real money on scrap without giving away your personal sources it would be nice to know how you get so much scrap can you give us any clues so we can do this in our states
Thanks for watching!! I am making good money through scrap. You can see the volume I get but I don't show all that I get. I been slacking on videos. I moved my warehouse and negotiating another warehouse for even more room. Best I can tell you in your area is ask and tell everyone what you do. Call contractors. Call businesses. Worst they will say in NO. I have been scraping for 20+years.
Don’t be afraid to cold call and get told no. And don’t be afraid to pay because dozens of people and scrap yards are doing the same. My best advice is offer more than scrap yard is offering , but obviously that would have to be for items that are upgradable (insulated wire) dirty copper /dirty brass / aluminum
You said let’s get Wade and see how much we make today I wanted to see that part how much did you make
I am unable to share the actual payout. I have contracted prices with the yards. We bring in very large volumes. I will say I did very very well.
Where do you get scrap like you have ?
I collect from several businesses. Anywhere there's metals I ask.
Where do you get so much scrap?😮
Everywhere!!! I pick up from several companies. I have been doing this for years and years. It's out there just got to ask everyone
Did you buy the pipe or was it from a job?
This was from a few clients I have. 95% we picked up from them. Once in a while I buy it but very rarely.
What was the total weights this load?
1 gaylord was a little under 2000 lbs amd the other gaylord was about 2400. The brass was about 2000lbs processed. So just over 6000lbs
Where do you find all this copper to process?
I have several contractors I pick up from regularly.
@@mikehasit73 how do you build a relationship with them to have access?
@Loki Dokie's Metal Junkie Adventures gotta just ask. Talk to everyone. Tell everyone what you do. As time goes people get to know you and recommend you to others. Thanks for watching hope I can help you out
@@mikehasit73 thank you sir, moving back to NC soon and will set up shop at some point, thanks!
When are u gunna make more videos bro
I'm trying!!! I got a bunch of random stuff filmed. Summers been crazy busy!!! O. Top of it all I'm moving my warehouse to a larger location. I'll get some videos out!!!!!
@@mikehasit73 awsome glad bissness is good for u ...iv been trying to build up my bissness more aswell
