- A Lakewood HV-9 9" High Velocity Fan I purchased for cheap from the Digitan Goodwill. Once it arrived, I discovered it has the original box and instruction manual as well, which I was not expecting. This model is one of the most nostalgic fans in my collection, I remember getting one of these new from WalMart back in the summer of I think 2004.
Ive always loved theese. I used to see them everywhere. Very powerful fan. Still see some today.
I have a variety of interests from Motorcycles, fast cars Audio gear and I built Gaming PCs since the 1990s .
Guess I really never think about fans until I need one but I just did a deep dive on your channel and I absolutely applaud your commitment.
Good video on the high velocity fan in the box really enjoyed seeing these nostalgic fans can't wait for cleaning and servicing video coming soon bro
Nice Faaaannn Jordan. I don’t particularly take interest in these types of fans but this looks to be at least of some decent quality. Looks great and runs nice and smoothly.
it also comes with some LEAVES! LOL
Good video bro i enjoyed seeing this fan again its been awhile i can't wait to see the service video on it soon
Very nice fan. I had this exact fan when I was younger and I think it’s still at my grandmas
OK.
OK.
Vintage Lakewood fans are really cool (no pun intended) and very durable as well. If maintained properly, you can expect them to last for many, many years. I still have my Lakewood HV-4 that I got back in summer of 2006 and it still works like a charm. It’s really a shame Lakewood went out of business and stopped making these high quality fans. They were immensely better than the Chinese made junk of today.
Massey is an actual Chinese company and OEM, it's not a Walmart store brand. It has a website too. I think it rebranded itself PMX, then reverted to Massey and now it seems to have disappeared. But some of the knockoffs still live on. One of the more well known ones was sold at Big Lots under its Climate Keeper store brand. There was also one at Christmas Tree Shops (CTS, now defunct) under Nantucket Breeze, Ocean State Job Lot under Penguin, and Target under RE.
Weird cord with the white stripe, looks like a cord for a television or stereo receiver.
my local thrift store has had one of these for as long as i can remember. it hasnt ran in years, but its still sitting there...
i have 2005 version i bought at walmart
I have fond memories of summer '04
@jordon if you want more power, put some oil in the motor
i have one these fans these fans move alot of air
i have one at the grandmas house. it still works every time. this is one of my favorite fans of all time.
Thanks for letting me know.
Nice, I saw one at antique store but I didn’t get because the cord was cut
Ur joking. That is just bizarre. If I were you, I would go back and get it. If you can or ask an adult if you can put a new cord on it. If not, just put it on display or even part it out.
@@RetroJayFans my dad told me not to get it, I will probably get a HV-4 and a HV-9 on eBay and that was a year ago so it’s probably gone
Oh alright @@AxelTheFanMan5733
did u get the light blue lasko?
@@RetroJayFans no I changed my mind because I didn’t want to waste money on another cheap box fan
I like it
Alright this is getting ridiculous, I cannot find mine and I also can’t seem to get another so I’m going to have to buy one off of you lol, just joking. Unless you’d actually be willing to I’ll purchase one and pay for shipping if it’s not an arm and a leg 😂
