Greetings from California! This is one of my favorite of your walks. The trees that cover the street at any point in this video are especially my favorite.
I have watched a lot of videos of Chongqing, which have convinced me to make Chongqing my next destination in China. But this video shows a completely different side of it, which is interesting in its own way. (and it seems like I'll be burning 10.000 calories per day walking up & down stairs, so all good) Thanks for a great walking tour. Thomas
This just shows how much an abundance of big healthy trees can add to a city's charm. I notice how shaded and calm it feels throughout the streets. In the West, many municipalities act as though they hate trees, and try to chop them down for any reason. They'll usually use excuses, like saying the trees are too old, or have some sort of blight.
That’s not true in Australia. Trees abound, cities must have lots of green space and parks are everywhere and well maintained. Even n the poorest of suburbs. Not sure what west you live in. Trees are protected. You’re not allowed to cut them down without permission which is mostly granted on genuine safety.
I feel nostalgic somehow, It was in my dream when I saw a place like this, I went to some buildings and they served noodles and every time I wake up from a dream like that, I always think that maybe I live a piece of my life there and until I die, I wake up from this life to another one.
Congratulations on the excellent video, Chongqing is a wonderful city I hope to visit one day. I started a channel here on UA-cam recently and record in the same way here in Brazil. I signed up, I will follow you from now on. A big hug!!!🙂
Really? How come? I think Japan is much better than China, much cleaner and less stressful. People are not pugnacious and minding their own business. In China, it is almost like US and England where you will most likely encounter a problematic person in your walks, at a restaurant, at a theater, going on their political or insane rants.
Sorry, I didn't notice in the video, but ... Are there common yards in cities in China? By 'yard,' I mean a large common area (usually square or rectangular) between residential buildings where drying racks for clothes (pipes and ropes) might be located, children's playgrounds, and calisthenics facilities for everyone. These areas are usually unfenced, but sometimes residents might erect fences around the perimeter of the buildings. Does anyone know?
based on what i see in china virtual tour videos, common ground is pretty commonly available especially in relatively new residential area (maybe 1990ish and above). in the old community there is a yard but often converted to parking area. so depend on which side in the city.
Thank you for watching! As far as I know, new residential areas have public courtyards inside, which are often not open to the outside and not on the street. Old communities are often narrow and rarely have public courtyards.
The people who designed this place are geniuses. No country in the West can do this kind of thing. Our new-build developments are always laid out in the most basic way possible, with bland architecture and without any real attempt to incorporate retail space or commercial business spaces that average people can actually own and run.
Western countries are capable of everything but they bit unlucky with blaxx population who love to destroy everything. Just watch the Pruitt-Igoe public housing documentary.
Her cm ye bişey yapmışlar her alanı değerlendirmişler..
Chongqing offers much more in its beautiful surrounding area including three UNESCO World Heritage sites ---- Dazu Rock Carvings (ua-cam.com/video/Elwv7_oyPZ0/v-deo.html), Wulong Karst National Park, and the Yangtze River three Gorges (ua-cam.com/users/shortsMSllXo-QEqU)

west hates nature
It's not just that. There are trees that are very unaesthetic. The Chong Ching vegetation is objectively just as beautiful as the city.

Maravilhoso!

Gracias por el recorrido..
WOW!!!
Impresionante todo el trayecto..

Chongqing is cyber punk cool
This looks like a clean version of Favelas

Agreed, and it's a shame. You see it in all sorts of non-western countries as well.

Thank you for your good comments on Chongqing. Best wishes to you.❤
i was interested on what the lady at 17:29 was doing, maybe just trading recyclables? it seemed like a good watch if we could see until the end

提個建議, "Caijiashibao(蔡家石堡)"如果打成這樣會好點"CaiJiaShiBao(蔡家石堡)", 這樣那些英文人就知一個大草字母就是一個中文字的開頭.
