Your backpack is a magic bag! It covers everything except the tropical rails. I'm impressed with your stamina and endurance to carry such heavy equipment! I strongly feel the need to start training myself again. You are amazing!
Ive seen a lot of „whats in my bag“ videos when i started with photography, but i really need to admit, that this is by far the best one ive seen. And yes, it would be great to see a video about clothes. Specifically for the colder days (spring, fall and winter). Im always freezing even though im packed like a bison 😂 Also, as you mentioned your editing Process a little bit, it be interesting to see how you manage your data. Sure, everybody got their own process and style, but i have the feeling my process could be improved. (Import via card reader to hdd, edit, export in a folder, done) Again, great work!
As a Dane, i love how you said multi-tool 🙂 Swedish is such a nice language. Anyway, interesting to see what you use.. not a huge fan of "whats in my bag" videos but.. you set this one up really nice in the woods, maintaining your style and why we love your relaxing videos. Thanks Olle and have a great day ☀️
You're right, the 200-600mm is phonomenal. I wish Sony would make their own version of the Nikon Z8 though. The A1 is incredibly expensive, the A9 rather low resolution if you plan on cropping, and the A7/7R series are all low fps.
Not sure if your smaller tripod is the same as mine but if it is, you can unscrew the center column, unscrew the head and attach it straight to the body of the tripod. Really quick to do 👍🏻
FYI, the center column of the Sirui T-025x is removable. You can unscrew the center column and screw the tripod head directly into the tripod base. It makes it abut 18cm tall.
I saw this video a couple of days to late. I also live right beside a big forest. I was out exploring and suddenly found myself stuck in the mud. I have newer in my life been this stuck before. I considered calling my wife and send her the location so she could come and help me. But I managed to place my camera gear a semi dry place and then I found a big stick in the mud. And after some time I managed to get out of the mud with the stick. My rubber boots had taken in some water but I continued my exploration with wet socks. After some km I had to give up and call my wife to come and pick me up. My feet hurt like .... (It was not my most proud moment when I had to call her). So Yes a very good tip about the socks. I will definitely bring some on my next photo trip.
@@ClausArdal Oh, glad you got yourself up from the mud! And yes, socks can be a life saver for sure, nothing worse than wet socks without the possibility to change🥲 Cheers mate!
Your channel is a channel that totally detoxes my mind mentally by your content and shows the true beauty 'THE NATURE'☘️❤ Thanks brother for these type of content and love your videos mann😇
Now in 2024 when I go as light as possible for nature hikes for photography, I carry two Sony A7RIV 61 megapixels Cameras, which I also often use in APSC mode with 26 megapixels, so it is as having four cameras in two cameras ! Lenses could be fx Sony Carls Zeiss Sonnar 35mm 2.8 T* ZA, Voigtländer Macro APO-Lanthar 110mm 2.5 and Sigma 500mm 5.6 DG DN OS Sports, very easy to carry and use, I have most of the time the 500mm on one camera and the 110mm macro on the other camera, so always ready to shoot fast. Many times I do not bring binocular, then I use the Lenses for magnification, as I most of the time have one camera in my hand as I walk, if I bring a binocular, then it is either Leica Ultravis 8x32 HD or Leica Ultravid 12x50 HD. I use a small compact Lowepro photo backpack, I think new backpacks is too complicated, I like simple versatile bags, so many old bags are better than the new ones ! I never do videos and I ever use zoom Lenses which I think is too heavy, too big and too expensive (for what you "not" get). fx I sometimes crop from the Sony 135mm 1.8 GM Lens so it is equivalent to 300+mm with excellent results. My "universal" tripod is Novoflex, you can change all 3 legs if you need larger legs or you can use extender legs.
Love your videos as always Olle. A very similar kit to what I use for wildlife. However, I found the 2x teleconverter was absolutely terrible with my 70-200mm GMii, literally unusable. I'm glad you got a good copy! I use the 1.4x now with my 200-600mm and it works great.
Oh I'm sorry to hear that! So weird that copies seem to differ so much in quality. Same with the 200-600. heard some people having issues with the sharpness on that lens, and some others have great sharpness. weird!
Try the nescafe azera range, a lot better then the other instant coffee, but if you have milk in your coffee try adding milk first to dissolve the coffee then add water, it stops the coffee burning
Just make some ice coffee or cold brew the night before and keep it in your thermos, or if you are gone for a few days pack some real coffee and an aero press :)
The Shimoda bag looks perfect for wildlife photography, it might be my next one after my current bag bites the dust. Anyways, I enjoyed the run down of what you use to create these videos! (I also don’t have a solution for the bad instant coffee haha).
For instant coffee, I cannot recommend Little's enough. I searched a bit, and you should find it on some stores on Sweden as well. Flavored or straight coffee, maybe requires test tasting to find your preference.
I love this man's videos, they are so relaxing and interesting to watch, I just got into photography and I needed to see what things I should get. Any suggestion for a good (not that expensive) camera and lens? (still for wildlife)
I think you'd really like coffee bags! Lighter to carry & better quality coffee. I'm assuming you have them in your country?? I buy them for camping & get them from any supermarket. Just add hot water 😀
@ollenilsson just get yourself a decent Stanley 0.75L / 1L “Thermoskan” (in Dutch, don’t know the English word) for the 1 or 2 day trips. I have one I fill up every time I leave and the coffee stays hot for 24hr+. Plus they’re indestructible and they come with a built-in cup. Cheers.

@Olle check if you can unscrew the center column of your small sirui tripod. I have one that is similar, had the same issue and rarely used it, and then one day it dawned on me that maybe it unscrews and it did! It's now my favorite tripod for my light setup for macro.
I agree big time on the 200-600 lens superb lens. and they arent that expensive tbf, id rather have this lens over tamron or sigmas 150-600 lenses, the shaprness and bokeh we get with it is crazy. if there would be a verison two hope they dont reduce the size, like the size for some reason, even if they go a bit gigger lol maybe give better low light in some way or bogger bokeh that be class. AAAND if the rest would stay as it is id be super happy. Must say Sony nailed it with this lens. Love all my shots i did

Hey Olle! Im in a pretty big dilemma :D I have the 70-200 2.8 GM II. (with an A7RIIIA) When i have some free time, or like after work i usually go try shooting some birds and stuff in the nearest forest. But every once in a while i run out of that 200mm, and i am thinking about getting something bigger. I am hesitating between the 2x teleconverter or the 200-600. Which one would you recommend? I would definitely go for the 2x, (because of the price and size), but im reading only sh it about it online. I really dont want to ruin the image quality with it. I hope you see my comment and share your opinion about it! Keep it on man, your content is awsome :D
First of all you are an excellent photographer but I wonder why you don't sell some of your lenses + a7iv and buy a the Sony a1 because the a1 is a different level!!
I do own that camera but I rarely use it anymore because I’m borrowing the A7sIII atm. But when I’ll have to return it the A7C will become my backup again😊
Would that chest strap hold a phone? I want to find a strap to hold my phone so I can carry my camera in my hand and have Merlin ID running on my phone.
You might be able to make cowboy coffee with that Jet Boil system if you can turn down the heat. My wife and I make it at home every morning in an empty percolator pot and it's delicious. We add 29g of coffee usually for a liter of coffee. See the link for how to make. ua-cam.com/video/7UAoT21eqXI/v-deo.html
Try mixing the instant coffee with a bit of cold water first, and then pour on boiling water. It helps a little :)
Need to try that out😃

Since you do so much wildlife photography in dark woods, have you thought about investing in the Sony 300mm f2.8?

Curious how the 70-200/2.8GM w/2xTC compares to the 100-400 GM
I just picked up a 2x TC to test with my 70-200 F4 Macro and A7IV. Just took a couple quick bird shots on the street and it seems fine after sharpening in post. Maybe with an A7R or A1 with higher mp it's more noticeable IQ decrease?
I watched your video last year and bought 1 V. What should I do this year ? 😅

I would definitely go for the 2x, (because of the price and size), but im reading only sh it about it online. I really dont want to ruin the image quality with it.
I hope you see my comment and share your opinion about it!
Keep it on man, your content is awsome :D
Hey!
If you already have the 70-200 (Mk II) I’d definitely get the TC2. I think it works really well!😃
@@ollenilssonen Thanks a lot, i gotta get one then :D
First of all you are an excellent photographer but I wonder why you don't sell some of your lenses + a7iv and buy a the Sony a1 because the a1 is a different level!!

I'm sure I've see you with an A7c. Did you sell it or were you just borrowing it?
I do own that camera but I rarely use it anymore because I’m borrowing the A7sIII atm. But when I’ll have to return it the A7C will become my backup again😊
I bet its camera stuff! 😂
What about any safety gear for bears and stuff?
We don’t have bears where I live. But a first aid kit is something I’ll add to the kit anyway!😃

Why do not you buy Sony a1 and 600mmf4lens. I think these are better for wildlife
@@user-pt7wt3zv6s Because they are $20.000+ 😂
Would that chest strap hold a phone? I want to find a strap to hold my phone so I can carry my camera in my hand and have Merlin ID running on my phone.
It can hold s phone with a Gopro mount to phone holder thingy😊
You might be able to make cowboy coffee with that Jet Boil system if you can turn down the heat. My wife and I make it at home every morning in an empty percolator pot and it's delicious. We add 29g of coffee usually for a liter of coffee. See the link for how to make. ua-cam.com/video/7UAoT21eqXI/v-deo.html
