Amateur lighting... it's easy to take lighting for granted, but it's actually not all that easy. At least the mic on Special Ghoul is placed perfectly... I hate it when they just hit record without actually listening to the sound... you're miking someone with a solid mask on, it's going to sound like ass if you get the mic in the wrong place! Normally you get a horrible nasal tone when an interviewer hands a dynamic mic to a ghoul, forgetting they have a mouth under the mask!
Regarding articulation ~ I know that Papa/Tobias especially, is very articulate and well spoken, however there are select interviews in which he seems to find it difficult to speak, and I think this is one of them, and is due to the echo in the room. It seems he is finding difficulty in talking through the mask and past his echo.

I saw them on myUA-cam sidebar back in 2014 and clicked on them , never having heard of the band before. I wasn't sure if I was watching some SNL skit or something similar, but it was so amusing and the music was so good that I purchased all their recordings.

He doesn't come across as nervous at all to me... he just appears to be thinking carefully about his answers. There's also the issue of editing: with the "monologue to the camera" interviews, the interviewer will know roughly what they want out of an answer, and will ask followup questions off camera, and all the best parts are edited together. Here it's a very "candid" interview, with very few cuts which puts a lot of pressure on Special Ghoul. The other aspect is the interviewer, she's obviously a massive fan, and her body language gives away how excited she is to be conducting the interview (and or massively crushing out on Special Ghoul!): some people (myself included, probably the reason I picked it up) tend to feed off of other people's enthusiasm or energy, and become slightly more reserved if the other person is perhaps nervous.. A two way empathy if you will, a very deep rooted human response under pressure. When it's really clear that the Ghoul and interviewer are getting on as people, you get a really fluent interview, which is why being an interviewer is so damn hard: musicians are a strange bunch, and it's tricky to get on really well with all of them. This interview is also unique in the sense that normally the interviewer is just someone who works for a magazine, or show... here the whole interview is basically done by fans for fans, which I can imagine is quite intimidating! A lot of interviewers won't be Ghost fans... fans ask the most tricky questions because they truly know the band, second only to the band themselves. More so in many ways... the band probably don't follow the various discussion groups, know all the memes, funny gifs etc. A fan will usually ask direct questions which have never been asked before.

It hasn't, it also was never meant to be a band, tobias records all the studio recordings, he plays the bass, guitar, drums, all of that. He has other musicians come in and touch up on things like the drums, but the nameless ghouls are just for tour and show. I love the energy of the new ghouls though
Its not, Special (this one is special) is Papa, Omega has giant ass rings, Alpha has a tattoo on his hand, those are the three that do interviews, at least the ones I've seen

Lucas Struna I would assume it’s because they wouldn’t be able to answer the questions about the start of the band and the creative force behind it, because they played no part in it. While the Ghouls are an integral part of the live shows, that’s really all they do.
