A masterpiece of our music, when we had terrific musicians, songwriters, and performers; Brazilian music being widely appreciated, playing on the radios in Brazil, they were the mainstream. Today is a shame, the media has reduced our richest music and culture to a bundle of poor songs highly influenced by the worst pop music ever. Thank you for what you have been doing in your channel, spreading the beauty and complexity of our music and culture. Muito obrigado.

Your version is very nice sounding.
Now , if it can help, the base of this piece is only 4 chords (B7M>B7-E7M-Em7). This well known and fertile pattern is called a Christophe. Every other chords are substitutions, the F for example is a tritonic substition of B (a triton below).
There's no G#m6, the chord is a E on his third. The fact that it has the same notes as a G#m6 is just accidental due to the chromatic voicing of the bass (melodic conduct of voices, contrepoint)
Bossa composer are the best when it comes to lead listeners to harmonic confusion, thanks to the predominance of the melody, horizontal thinking (contrepoint, think Bach) against the vertical thinking (harmony).
That's why chords seem complicated, it is due to the fact that some notes are just there for melodical reasons. I find it confusing and wrong to consider them as real part of the chords when they are just passing for the sake of beauty, the composer wants to hear them.

Thanks for openning my eyes on this. Bossa is so nice sounding músic but hard to learn for most of us not having a deep musical knowlege.

I agree, I think of these chords as the V/IV in third inversion, which is usually expected to move to IV (Eb maj 7) but moves to the Emin7b5/G which has all the same notes except the root is a half step raised which allows for chromatic voice leading. This is a common deceptive cadence, going to #4 half dim instead of IV. heard in for example ''Georgia on my mind'' by Oscar Peterson. Then instead of going to IV it goes to ivminor, again inverted to allow for chromatic voice leading. which resolves to second inversion tonic, commonly known as minor plagal cadence. Then tritone sub V of /IV (whole tone scale is implied) to IV then finally backdoor b7dom to I (variation on minor plagal). Beatifull harmonies!
