I remember seeing The Breakestra and Ugly Duckling play at The Thekla in Bristol UK about 20 yrs ago. One of the best live shows I've ever seen. Both acts absolutely killed it. Peace to the Baker and Mr Hackney. WORD.

Shame we can't hear the vocals, I guess we can only hear what's coming out of the monitors in the studio and the band have the whole mix with the vocals in their headphones. love Breakstra, this is a seriously good funk band.
I've searched my 'archives' a few times for the original audio midtown that went out on air. I think someone must've nabbed it! It's gotta exist out there. Glad people all over are still enjoying REAL music. Thanks for your comments, C

I managed to send Miles an email asking him where it was from, and to my surprise he replied shortly after with the info! After that, I decided that I also wanted to play the break with my bandmates, and we performed it a few months later at a club in town:
