what blows my mind about Tim's playing is how efficient his hand movements are. he'll hit a chord voicing and flick his picking hand, and play 18 different extensions in a flawless 16th note triplet melody over it. all in a half second before switching to the next chord shape. his control with that hybrid picking technique is immaculate.
if you want to melt your brain more, check out Sokoninaru, and since you like Nightwish, check out Unlucky Morpheus.

Bro, every single person in Polyphia is inhuman. All four of them are absolutely insane. Scottie also has an unplugged version that he plays basically as casually as the second half of the music video, and the drummer has his own playthrough as well. I'm sure the bassist could, but he doesn't seem to upload videos on YT much. Tim has admitted that he usually doesn't hybrid-pick if he chooses to do this song live because it's so difficult, but the fact that he can do the whole song in one take flawlessly is still an absolutely godlike display of skill, talent, hard work, and dedication to perfection.

Lol, your reactions are so pure and honest! I love your enthusiastic listening expressions as you watch the videos. This is my favorite song then G.O.A.T. Playing GOD is like candy to my ears. I didn’t know nylon strings could sound so good for this type of music! Great comments, I always appreciate your input. 🙏🏼

Using a pick and your fingers is called Hybrid picking. It's a big part of Polyphia's sound. The fingers produce a different tonal quality to the pick and using both provides a nice contrast. It also allows you to play notes on different strings much faster than alternate picking.

There is a soundhole on this guitar. Its located on the thin topside where the vol & tone controls are. Pickup is under the saddle ( bridge) of the guitar so you don't see it. Tim uses some hybrid picking on this song. Using a pick as well as his fingers.

So far Tim, Scott and Clay (drummer) have released videos of their parts of Playing God and one of the editing wizards out there has synced them up so we have the full song (minus the bass part as other Clay has not released his part yet). The synced video ua-cam.com/video/TLBCX3J3u5M/v-deo.html has the links to all of the clips used to generate it.
    ---
There is also a synced video out there of Tim and Charles' cover. So why that cover and why is it interesting? Charles, sometimes known as "The Pro Bassist," did a 1 minute cover of Playing God, but he didn't play the bass part, he covered the guitar parts on a 6 string bass. It sounds so good and it syncs perfectly. ua-cam.com/video/AHvT1RExpgs/v-deo.html and again the synced video has links to the video clips used.
    ---
Polyphia has a number of other artists that they have featured on Polyphia songs, some of these songs have video and some don't, these videos may or may not be worth a reaction. But these featured musicians are all excellent and if you are ever at a need of something to react to they are a good place to start.

You should check out the collabs Tim has with Ichika Nito and Manuel Gardner Fernandes. The other other two are just as fucking sick as Tim.
Ichika and Manuel have a collab as well, which I honestly think is the better of the three, but just barely.
Edit: I will say that "Polyphia" writing is better than the other two cause Scott is an underrated monster as well.
