Nier: Automata also had a "seeker" style "Rocket Pod", well, "Pod". It also had a Laser, but this one seems to be more inspired by FPS games that have had a similar style of weapon (there have been a lot of those in more recent years). I like the fact that rather than your typical "pew pew" style gatling gun, these are harder hitting, slower firing, meaning it's more tactical as you'll choose your shots more wisely. If this had more bullet hell elements (other than the one time we've seen in a boss fight), then I think it would've worked, but because of the way enemies move and the pacing, it seems more useful to have a starting "automatic" ranged weapon be slower and methodical with a nice punch rather than sitting back and spamming on bosses with a high fire rate. It just seems like the weapons are even paced according to the style of combat they are working out.
There’s a point, 09:07, when Eve does her “chain lightening attack” (not sure of the actual name but I’m using yours for now) she lets go of the Blood Edge with one hand and grabs it with the other to finish the move. It’s so fast it’s easy to miss but damn it looks great! I love little details like that in games. It’s stylish, like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. I can’t wait for this game.
Yeah little things they designed like this are great. Eve also does a move where she runs up into the air and hoists the blade up with her foot - kinda like flings it up in the air to her hand. I showed it in another video. But yeah, great catch with the hand toss :)

Favorite scenes: - Foot Clan messing up Raphael and Casey Jones comes to the rescue - Master Splinter spirit in the campfire - The song that plays when the Turtles are training then tell Casey and April that it's time to go home. Great in depth analysis, really a great job! Combat looks sick with every new frame we get. With all this style and looks, I just want to know if the game will have photo mode, I'm really hoping shift up don't forget on adding this feature.

But although i like your Stellar Blade breakdown videos, i'll have to stop watching your future ones as i'd love to avoid being spoiled anymore; usually i don't watch more than the announcements trailers to remain as "pure" as possible when starting the games, but with my hype for Stellar Blade and your superb work, i broke my rule a lot already 😅

And a hint of Mega Man Zero not because of its fast gameplay per se but because of its ponytail.
