kai, i just want to say thank you so much. im now moving into my sophomore year and recently i have been struggling with my self esteem because of my skin. my skin has been funky all my life, but just recently its just been crazy, and i have tried so many things and done so many tests and nothing has helped me, and im losing hope. . i dont feel comfortable in my own skin, and im insecure about how i look. when i talk to people it feels like they are only looking at my skin, or people mindlessly comment on how bad it looks compared to another day. ive been to different dermatologists and even doctors offices because of my skin, and so far nobody knows what is happening. i sometimes feel like the people who are helping me don’t care or understand how much the way i see me in my skin affects my self esteem, and my daily life. but watching your videos help me have hope and find comfort that some people do really care about how i view myself, and they want to help me. that they arent just there because of the title, but because they once knew how i feel. so thank you so so much, and i cant wait to see you grow in your job🥰
Wow first thank you for sharing such a vulnerable and personal story ✨ and it sucks im not gonna lie the situation and you must hate it. @Hwaniiee i wouldn’t have shared if it weren’t for you opening up and being vulnerable yourself and making your channel a safe space🤗 thank you so much for your encouragement ❤️ i can’t wait to see where your journey takes you!
@jasmineartis5754 they have already tried doing that and none of the tests came back with anything. luckily i got an appointment with a new derm to see if they can figure it out, but its in july
Great vlog. I just want to go back to that high school kid and give you a mom hug. I can feel the pain when you talk about your journey. I think nursing with skin care would be perfect for you. Also, I want to say you are truly a great person. Not only did you climb out of your trauma but you are turning around to help others. That’s a very generous thing that you’re doing. Keep up the great work
My favorite nurse…was a labor delivery nurse. She is now my laser hair removal nurse. I love her. She loves what she does too, but it was not in bedside nursing. She gave me such amazing confidence and she is loving it! Do it!!❤
im not a nurse but i can definitely say night shift will impact you negatively on all aspects. socially, mentally, physically, it really does suck. the key is work and life balance. i know work and life balance is something needed already in your job but its even more emphasized for night shift work. its gonna suck but those aspects will take a hit. I'm 24 I just graduated college and its summer time and I'm looking to jump into my career but until I find a day time job I'm stuck in my night shift work and I'm a very social person so its ass. i have to sacrifice my sleep or other things to do stuff with people its terrible. i hope you can find a balance and still enjoy things like the sunlight or hanging with friends. it'll all still be possible its just harder to plan with. good luck!
I loved working in an office. I felt the patients were mine. They trusted me to help with whatever was needed and they felt like family. Good luck, I am sure you will be great at whatever you choose.
I feel inspired just by watching this video, thank you! Good luck on getting your new job, I can tell you’d be great just by hearing the passion in your voice.
I've been following you on yt for quite some time but your smile never fails to make me smile too and I think this is a great trait to have, good luck on your future endeavors career wise!!!!
Kai if you plan to Own/ or co own a med spa one day you’ll need to further your education( BSN or even NP) depending on the state. Look for schools now even if you won’t go back to school for a while because they might require at least 1 year of bed side experience. Again, it might be different in each state but just check it out first. You could finish your year now so you don’t have to go back. In the mean time you could also ask to shadow a med spa/ try to work for them part time to start your dream career! Just look into it to make sure you don’t have to deal with annoying stuff down the line
@@kadestimpson didn’t know that. Then it may benefit Kai to get his NP. I believe in the state of New York, he could actually open up a practice with only a BSN. I’m sure he has everything lined up for himself, I am rooting for him and his success in life!
this vlog is full of energy just watching it really improves my mood love this!! I also love making friends like you actually I can't imagine my life without my friends they make my life better, hope you guys stay together love ur friendship 🫶🏻
Yess 100 agreed!’I truly believe if you have the right kind of friends that they make the world of a difference in our lives!! Glad you got a good circle hehe 🥰
Nursing is really versatile but the thing is when starting out get a place that will give you stability, and money to pay off your debts or stuff like that. You can also make a pro and cons list for the 2 jobs. Success in whatever you do sha.
FYI- I'd be most definitely buying your skincare line for myself & husband...i bet my mom would too...shes very into Shiseido & Korean skincare. However please start your own line!!! You have a definite something huge to offer in skincare. Id never of guessed u had acne!!❤
Proud of you for going out for what you want. It's not always easy. Just answer questions simply. If they don't ask them it's not necessary to say. Best of luck 🍀
Not to deter you but depending on which way you chose to go. Some higher degrees require 1 yr bedside nursing or 1 year of critical care nursing. But whatever just don’t lose sight of your goal!I did 5-7 years general bedside, 20yrs critical care bedside nursing and almost 20 years as cardiac cathetization nurse. I liked all the jobs I did! I liked dealing with patients and families, well most of the patients and families! 😂 Any way do what makes you happy!!! Nursing is a great profession no matter what field you go into! Good luck and God bless!
I'm so happy i found your channel !!! Its feels like i know you from ages & i really connect with you. I've always been the odd one & an out cast, i still am so that particular talk was so relatable. Sending you lots of love ❤❤❤❤❤
Kai- you do what’s best for you ❤ genuinely if you don’t see a future in bedside nursing then do not feel obligated to do it!!!!!!!! There is no “right path” to follow. Also, if you do bedside nights I will 100% tell you you will be sacrificing time with friends, and sleeping during the day when you share a room with someone will be incredibly difficult. You can always give bedside a try and quit if you don’t like it. There’s no shame in quitting when you know it isn’t right for you and won’t set your future up for success. But don’t feel like you have to do bedside just because you have a nursing degree. ❤
Wow this was one of the more exciting comments to read!! I totally agree!! I think I got confined to the idea that I HAVE to do beside, but I’m starting to realize how many more avenues there are in this diverse field!! Esp cuz I know where I wanna go in the future too!! Loved reading this thanks for sharing your thoughts ❤❤😊
@@TeddyD4 Well said , it actually makes more sense now . Kai, believe me u will be great In what do , test to waters to be sure , remember what the Lord sets out for u is always perfect trust, believe and pray for your dreams to become a reality, bru I know u will find what u seeking for . I want to go in the direction of nursing but I actually wanted to become a Doctor straight, but since I don't have physic a subject, I have to study nursing first. Have a blessed one further ❤
Hi Kai. I’ve seen several of your videos. I was a cop and worked overnite shift for many years. It’s tough on you physically. I’ve been to that spa. At least you were with friends. I went alone. I wish you much luck with your dreams and goals. Take good care
i'm starting my 3rd semester of nursing school in the fall so i'm not that qualified to say this, but bedside nursing is not the end all be all. especially if u already know the trajectory that u want ur career to take. as long as u know what the requirements are for the np school u wanna go to, live ur best life! nursing has so many avenues outside of bedside. rooting 4 u!
Yesss it does!! And omg best of luck in your nursing school too!! It’s a lot and very demanding so I hope you can find time to enjoy with ur friends and yourself too!! And ofc thanks for the advice too 😊😊

Kai, anything you set to achieve , you’ll do great at ! I just became a new grad , only 4 months and work in medsurg, it takes time to figure out where to fit. You’ll find your niche !
Go for the opportunity that suits you. Nursing is a wide area. The most important thing is to do your research. Wishing you all the best with your interview 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Nursing is a multifaceted career, so there are many positions to explore. My advice, though, is to work at the bedside for at least a year or take an on-call or part-time position to avoid burning out. Since you plan to expand your career to Nurse Practitioner in the future, be aware that Nurse Practitioner school is competitive and requires character references. Whatever you do, do not burn bridges. Good luck!
I've been a RN for almost 35 years; I started working on a med/surg floor but found I didn't like hospital politics. I found a job working in a clinic which gave me the opportunity to work with patients but also have a life outside of nursing. You need to try different things in your field, there are so many different opportunities in nursing now, you just need to look for what suits you. Good luck!
Yeah boy, nursing has so many various options and avenues. Start off somewhere to get experience and then work your way to finding what helps you. From telemetry to CTICU to cath lab, been doing for 10 years and now I’m thinking of dabbling also with skin care as well so we’ll see! Do you boo haha
Wow. Your new friend is interesting... Glad you overcame your introvert tendencies to make the connection deeper. Great vlog! (The naked boys in the spa segment... crazy!) Excited for all your dreams that you will accomplish, I'm sure. Thanks, again.
Hey Kai......❤❤❤❤ Stepping into something extremely new can be really overwhelming....but that shouldn't stop you from achieving the dreams you always had in your mind.... It's ok to change career paths or quit something if it doesn't give peace, happiness and satisfaction....but it would be a betrayal to yourself if you quit it just because you were afraid or anxious..... It can be a little awkward to start something as a rookie make new friends ...... But remember that...... On the ther end of fear lies opportunities and happiness And keep in mind that you are loved and understood 💞💞 Each time you come up with new vlog it feels like meeting your best friend after a long time and listening to what all happened when you were away.... I don't usually comment on any videos but your are so transparent with your viewers ........each vlog is just like a family talk... So sad that I can't talk to you the same way you talk to us Once again THIS TOO SHALL PASS Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of love from us ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Take care.....Love you so much 💖💖
Awwwww this comment is so so so sweet it almost made me tear up 🥹🥹 soemthing new def is terrifying as well and I’m also very open minded so I love challenges too!! There’s a big road up ahead so I’m gonna bring you and everyone along with me!! And I’m so so happy you feel close cuz honestly you guys are my best friends I tell my feelings, insecurities and emotions to!! ❤❤
Hey. Just get in one full year of bedside nursing and then switch to a different nursing job. Believe me having that single year of hands on nursing can make all the difference in your future.
There are so many avenues to go down in nursing. Bed side nursing wasn't my forte but I worked in A&E I loved it yesterday very high pressure but loved it so go and do what you want to do. If you talk like you do on here you will be fine. Hope the interview goes well. ❤❤
luv luv the friendship talk and i think i'm currently in your past situation but i hope it'll get better and i can meet people, hang out and build real bonds.
Damn son u so wise. Yes friends are important, no matter how much i told myself otherwise. Oftentimes i think that i may have forgotten how to take that extra step to form that honest connection but i’m trying to be kind to myself & taking it slow :) also props to u for expanding career options! U prob already know theres no right or wrong answer- in the big scheme of things, whatever decision u make now is only gonna create opportunities to grow and learn from & thats whats its all about aint it. As always thanks for the self reflective moment. ✌🏻
Hi! I'm currently a night shift new grad nurse in NYC and having done orientation on both night shifts and day shifts, I've grown to prefer night shifts but it's definitely not for everyone. With that being said, I definitely agree that if you were to continue on your night shift journey, true friends will be there regardless of what and will be understanding of your work schedule. My friends and I always take time for each other and they're super understanding of my responsibilities and commitments and how hectic my schedule may be. However, if you knew beforehand that you didn't want to do nights, I feel like you should have left the opportunity for someone else who might have wanted it. There's numerous opportunities out there, esp in NYC, for new grad nurses on day shifts. Additionally, while I think it's important to chase your dreams, I hope you're planning everything out properly and preparing yourself, just because if you're starting a new position in 2 weeks but then you get this new job offer and have to rescind your availability for the other place, it can reflect poorly. Anyways, hope everything works out!
Even tho I’m late to watch this. But I think I picked the right time to watch this cuz I was feeling down. I’m still in high school and having friendship issues. Dk where to go for help or like even support or talk to. Thank you for this video. It told me that there will be a time that it will be fixed. ❤️
I hope u stay in nursing, but choose an avenue that would make u happier! U have a nice smile & I'd say u would put people at ease. I hope u r successful! Enjoy ur day! 🙂🙂
Dear kai. I really enjoyed of listening to you. About your feelings and thank you sooo much for sharing your experience with us it's really appreciating. You are an. Awesome person ❤️. Follow your dreams. You definitely will be successful ❤❤❤
According to the comments and those familiar with nursing, it seems to have a lot of different avenues for you to choose from. I think in any profession there's a good place to start to build a foundation in the industry and then there's the particular thing that you are most interested in. I believe it all depends on where you are in your life and what things you value most right now. If it's time, which job would make room for more free time? If it's finance, which job would bring in a wage you'd be comfortable with? I'm sure you'll find which is a good fit for you and would still lead you to your ultimate goal. Blessings !
Hello . You can choose nursing informatics specialist if you interest in hospital system or you choose OPD which how to interact with patients and visitors , more patience and socialize.

Go for it and don’t feel bad for your choices. It sounds like a great idea for what you want to do in the feature. I wish I can get similar opportunity, for aesthetic nurse.🎉

No fr! The anxiety you get from meeting new people is a different kind of anxiety. At least you are trying to work through it cause it tends to hold me back. "Will they like me?" "Will I like them after spending more time with them?" "How do I look when I laugh?" Lmao I just become so self-conscious about little things.
Omg yes the anxiety and anxiety shits I get is kinda crazzyyy😂😂 tmi but yea we got this just gotta swallow our comfort zones and head into the unknown ❤
@@Hwaniiee 🤣 no , i feel this. Stress and anxiety will definitely jack up your gut. I agree tho. It may take time but we can get through it. Anxiety may be what you have but it is NOT who you are ❤️ getting through it one social event at a time lol
Is it difficult to live in NYC? Like it’s been a dream of mine to live in the city..I work for the Postal Service, so I think I’d be okay as far as a job goes. However, it’s housing and bills that concern me Also. Sometimes in life, you gotta do what’s best for YOU. Nice vlog friend, keep it up 🤙
I would say work in a hospital at least for a 1 1/2, 2 years to have that experience under your belt. Want to build that confidence to speak with your patients. It'll also give you time to figure out how to apply things better. Build connections with NPs that you work with and allow them to tell you their experiences. You never know...they might have friends that could get you where you want to be.
I'm going to complete my MSN next year. Have you considered working as a travel nurse? I plan to work as a travel nurse since I love traveling, seeing new places, and meeting new people. I currently live in DFW, Texas.

In the mean time you could also ask to shadow a med spa/ try to work for them part time to start your dream career! Just look into it to make sure you don’t have to deal with annoying stuff down the line
he already has bsn
@@kadestimpson didn’t know that. Then it may benefit Kai to get his NP. I believe in the state of New York, he could actually open up a practice with only a BSN. I’m sure he has everything lined up for himself, I am rooting for him and his success in life!
I did bedside nursing for 2 years and then moved on to community nursing. Congrats on your new journey!
this vlog is full of energy just watching it really improves my mood love this!!
You are so real for this. Thank you for normalizing your stress poops and anxiety , even as a UA-camr.
Nursing is really versatile but the thing is when starting out get a place that will give you stability, and money to pay off your debts or stuff like that. You can also make a pro and cons list for the 2 jobs.
Success in whatever you do sha.
Yess gotta weigh both options before moving !! ❤❤
Hello Kai..you are a person with a very cute smile and a good mood the whole time you speak. Try to follow your dreams.
Going into outpatient derm will be a great step towards your ultimate goal as well!!

Whoooo!! Go new grads we got this! Best of luck on your journey too!!
Good luck!
Do not burn bridges!! Yesss the best advice ever!! Can go along way so I def agree with you ❤
I've been a RN for almost 35 years; I started working on a med/surg floor but found I didn't like hospital politics. I found a job working in a clinic which gave me the opportunity to work with patients but also have a life outside of nursing. You need to try different things in your field, there are so many different opportunities in nursing now, you just need to look for what suits you. Good luck!
Yesss I love this advice esp from such a veteran in the field!! ❤❤
Hey Kai......❤❤❤❤
Stepping into something extremely new can be really overwhelming....but that shouldn't stop you from achieving the dreams you always had in your mind....
It's ok to change career paths or quit something if it doesn't give peace, happiness and satisfaction....but it would be a betrayal to yourself if you quit it just because you were afraid or anxious.....
It can be a little awkward to start something as a rookie make new friends ......
But remember that......
On the ther end of fear lies opportunities and happiness
And keep in mind that you are loved and understood 💞💞
Each time you come up with new vlog it feels like meeting your best friend after a long time and listening to what all happened when you were away....
I don't usually comment on any videos but your are so transparent with your viewers ........each vlog is just like a family talk...
So sad that I can't talk to you the same way you talk to us
Once again THIS TOO SHALL PASS
Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of love from us ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Take care.....Love you so much 💖💖
Awwwww this comment is so so so sweet it almost made me tear up 🥹🥹 soemthing new def is terrifying as well and I’m also very open minded so I love challenges too!!
Follow your passion. Your test is your testimony. Help others through the journey with your experiences.
Wow I love that last line you said! It’s the experiences we go through that make our journey!! ❤
There are so many avenues to go down in nursing. Bed side nursing wasn't my forte but I worked in A&E I loved it yesterday very high pressure but loved it so go and do what you want to do. If you talk like you do on here you will be fine. Hope the interview goes well. ❤❤
I hope so❤❤
Awe, your friends are as awesome as you are...❤ ..I hope your interview went well...keep smiling 😁
If you're passionate about skin care and Beauty nursing do it. As its you're calling. GOOD LUCK ❤❤❤
luv luv the friendship talk and i think i'm currently in your past situation but i hope it'll get better and i can meet people, hang out and build real bonds.
Yesss it’s the real friends and bonds that really do make or break a person!! Hopefully we’ll always be surrounded by the right ppl❤
Wowww Kai💕awesome that you have such clear goals that you are aiming towards💕happy to see you following your heart 💕🫰🫶🥰
You’re literally my comfort channel! ❤
Love this ❤❤
Even tho I’m late to watch this.

Was having a tough day watched this and you made me smile 🫶🏼
Awwww I’m so glad ❤❤
According to the comments and those familiar with nursing, it seems to have a lot of different avenues for you to choose from. I think in any profession there's a good place to start to build a foundation in the industry and then there's the particular thing that you are most interested in. I believe it all depends on where you are in your life and what things you value most right now. If it's time, which job would make room for more free time? If it's finance, which job would bring in a wage you'd be comfortable with? I'm sure you'll find which is a good fit for you and would still lead you to your ultimate goal. Blessings !
Don't quite nursing, your my inspiration on becoming a nurse someday😔🥺
Hello . You can choose nursing informatics specialist if you interest in hospital system or you choose OPD which how to interact with patients and visitors , more patience and socialize.
Your Not So Different From A Lot Of People. Your Doing Great. Your Life Seems Very Exciting. At Least Your Learning To Be Comfortable In Uncomfortable Situations. It's A Good Thing Good Luck With Your Job Search. Sometimes You Need People That Brings Out The Best In You.💜 Just Know You Are Encouraging People In Your Same Stage In Life.
Then that’s a job accomplished!! I just want us to do life together and know that we are NOT ALONE IN OUR STRIGGLES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS!! We’re doing it all together ❤
I have terrible performance anxiety. My stuttering gets soooo bad. I hate it. I’m not even scared of the interview, just of getting self-conscious. Yikes lol. You got it!
I did bedside for a short time at the beginning of my career… realized I was miserable… went into homecare and never looked back!
😂😂lol did it suck
Go for it and don’t feel bad for your choices. It sounds like a great idea for what you want to do in the feature. I wish I can get similar opportunity, for aesthetic nurse.🎉
You got it!!! We’re both gonna hope for the best for ys❤
In my honest opinion, you should do nursing, especially for the aesthetics field, it really suits you! Plus it gives you a more flexible schedule

AWWW that’s so inspiring for me to read!! So thank you❤

I’m literally studying mental health nursing and I want to work in dermatology and specialise in dermatology and I love skincare
Somehow, I can see you as either a dermatology nurse or a cosmetic nurse. Of course, you can also be deeply involved in cosmetology on your off hours.

Love your videossss😊💗
Go with your passion. Good luck
I'm going to complete my MSN next year. Have you considered working as a travel nurse? I plan to work as a travel nurse since I love traveling, seeing new places, and meeting new people. I currently live in DFW, Texas.
