- Audi A6 C6 door lock control module change. If your door is not opening from the outside handle it is probably the door lock control module. This module can be fixed or replaced. It`s a max one hour job. Easy fix.
Really good of you to make this video to help others. I’m gonna have to attempt this soon as my driver’s door is doing exactly what you showed.

I'm about to do this on my 2011 c6, this is going to help alot👍🏼. The only weird thing is that I don't know which replacement lock to buy as for some reason there are many part number for the lock!
I'm about to do this. This is not a bad video but is missing some detail regarding the actual lock actuator removal. At 15 mins in, how was the white plastic lock cover removed (other videos say the window has to be partially removed but in this video it suddenly appears out in your hand)? Also, there needs to be more detail on the electrical connector to the lock and the interior and exterior handle cables connections. Perhaps it is clear once you are doing it but at the moment an other advice would be helpful.
My problem was that I could not lock the car with my car key. I had the car robbed a few times after leaving it over night with front passenger door unlocked and decided to look into what I could do. Ofcourse I stumbled upon his great video which is of great help for anyone who decides to change their lock actuaor module.
However, if you do not have the time or money to take it to a shop immediaely, a quick solution for locking your door is to look at the edge of the door and locate the MANUAL LOCK SWITCH. On my 2008 audi a6 there is a round cap with a lock icon on it, you pull that out and inside is key hole like mechanism, THIS is the MANUAL lock. You turn it 45 degrees clockwise and it will lock your car. To unlock it when a passenger wishes to enter the vehicle you simply pull the door handle from the inside and it unlocks it. Hope this helps. I also noticed that when i lock the car from my car key now, the beep sound is back. The car lets you know that the car is not locked properly by not making that beep sound upon locking. Hope this helps.

I have the same problem, but on all 4 doors,only trunk unlocks.Do i have to remove them all and inspect?
Usually it`s the driver side door that creates issues and locks the other ones too. The best way to check is to scan with VCDS and see if there are any fault codes. In my case the driver side lock was faulty.
I have the same problem on all doors expect drivers.

Was it a replacement or did you repaired it?
@@blablub3406 Repaired it once but it didn't work. Had to change it with a brand new one :). Did that to three doors :P. I bought 1 Audi original door lock for the driver side and 2 from AliExpress which work perfect on the passenger side and rear right door.

No, you don't have to take the window out. You just have to fiddle a bit the lock but it comes out.
Do us a favour, record in landscape and skip the music next time! It would also be helpful if you include an explanatory narrative and use a tripod wherever possible.

In The title it says repair not replace you did not shower any repair at all just how to dismantle the door trim.
Yeap, the actual fix is changing the whole lock mechanism as it's not worth it to attempt a repair. Just buy new a door lock. It will make your life much easier :) and stay away from second hand ones. These will fail sooner or later. Cheers!
