there is no subscription you can subscribe, the ODIS reprogramming requires dealer account, only dealer having the account, and some of the dealer can rent you for 1 hour $50, after 1 hour they reset the password

That is true. OBDeleven can do some soft reprogramming but not something like ODIS where you actually need to go online on VW servers. I did discover an easier tool to actually reprogram every module in the car with online connection to VW servers but the price is a little bit spicy. If you are a DIYer and would like to make some extra monies. I think it's worth it. Much more user friendly than ODIS, and more reliable as well. Cheers!

@@77wassuI ended up buying VCDS and grabbing a free Windows laptop from a coworker. So I hope it works. Also had a Driver Assist fault pop up out of nowhere. No lights, but when I press the button on the driver door I get a fault. Great!! Something else I have deal with.

Normally the car should be levelling itself, if it doesn’t after you enter all the measurements and confirming at the last step, take the car for a test drive, around a mile distance should be ok, after that come back and measure all the wheels again! If there is difference in measurements, like you said 1 cm, log in on vcds and do the same step again for all wheels inserting the values you have but the wheel that sits higher or lower enter the value you need to be at the level with the other side, keeping in mind if you need to increase the level you put a lower number and if you decrease the level put the higher number! The lower the number, the higher the car will sit! If one side is 405 and the other is 395, to get it at 405 from 395 you insert 415 in vcds!

Hi, you can try, I am not 100% sure but it might be that this was available from the B8 version onwards. If there is the option in VCDS that`s a quick check. Some cars don't have this option, especially the older ones. Cheers

Yes, as @JaroslawS1989 said, there are two separate interfaces and cables. Go with VCDS, it's much more easy to use :P for normal stuff.

For reprogramming and use extensive module functions ODIS is the way to go for sure.

Nice! If you press one the ESP button. It will turn off traction control and after up to approximately 70km/h it will turn back on automatically. Only if you press and hold the ESP button you will inactivate traction control and the electronic stability program for good and it will not turn on until you press it again. Enjoy your car bro! Yes there are different, check with your laptop type on one of the dedicated sites for battery replacement like ifixit.com/store and search for your laptop. You will see the battery needed. Cheers

If you want to change units (ECU,CD changer, AC electronic unit, etc) in you car you must use ODIS online to remove the component protection and program the new installed units, but for the rest of the procedures everything is mainly offline.

@@77wassu I replaced my battery. but after that, the keyboard and trackpad are not working. I changed back to original battery, the same. And the NVDIA GPU disappeared and USB not comms, only charging. Do not know why.
