I’m looking to get a 350 and I plan on towing my 3600lb car a handful of times a year but I can’t find one in my area with the options I want plus the tow package. So I’m looking at adding a Stealth hitch and an aftermarket brake controller. Any idea how that would compare to the factory tow package? The salesman was saying it has some sort of automatic braking in the factory harness so I’m not sure aftermarket would do the same.
@@Projectzeroto60 You are not fast for a normal car but too fast with a trailer. Here in Europe, you would have taken a great ticket for this dumb behaviour.

You will be good I have a gle 53 now . I tow 7000 with all the time 10 k miles so far!

Which brake controller are you using? Do you if tekonsha prodigy RF or Curt Mobile are compatible with those Mercedes?
The trailer uses hydraulic brakes and no brake controller needed

To be honest I’m not sure, I know when I plug into a trailer it will let me know if a trailer light is out on the dash and it will optimize for towing
Did you use a trailer brake controller. If not is wise to tow this much load.
