Can you hear Me calling you? Yes I do
Markus, great work. Hey do you have by chance the studio midi file?? i'd sure like to buy it.
This starts out great but unlike others who are sugarcoating, Im going to tell you exactly how it can be greater. Lose the sax completely. It ruins the entire song and sounds corny. The song starts out with a mysterious, ethereal vibe, and then goes into what sounds like elevator/store music. The sax is too blunt and stands out too much against the ethereal elements.
Keep it sounding light and mysterious. Songs that try to mimic lyrics using instruments always end up sounding like corny karaoke songs, so dont try to mimic the lyrical notes. Just leave that part out and make it sound ethereal throughout, like a Tangerine Dream-like song.
Also, someone said "the extra note is maddening." They're talking about the last two notes of the chorus. In the real song, those two notes are blended so it doesn't sound like there's an extra note. It just hits the second to last note, then bends downward into the last note so it sounds like one note just dropping its pitch (glissando aka "slide"). In this one it sounds like a switch from one note to another, a step-down in pitch, a whole separate note being hit, and it stands out too much for those used to the original recording.
Otherwise this is great and agree with others, the intro is magical and the whole song should keep that magic.
Brother,that sounds amazing!
