Cheers to Fiji. You can’t help but adore them. Played their hearts out for 80 mins, a huddle up with a song and prayer after the game with ABs…that’s what sports should be about!
ABs debutantes looked very promising. A good sign to the fact that the future of All blacks is in perfect hands.

I think this match just proved that we have the players, we'll know by the time we've played Argentina twice whether we have the right coach(es) . Our lineouts and mauls were still average, is Ryan just a scrum coach?

Fiji rugby are adored and respected across the world,and their faith in God and Jesus Christ after each game.hope you fellas enjoyed a few pints together, cause this is what rugby is about,and it's the greatest honour of it all, to play against the all blacks.

We are comparing apples with oranges when we compare rugby in USA with rugby in the traditional rugby playing nations.
Lots of NZ ex pats would have watched this game as rightly pointed out. Same when Ireland played NZ in Chicago in 2016.
However rugby is very much a minority sport in USA hence smaller crowd when their national team are playing.
Taking RWC to USA is an attempt to grow the game there but I guess many of the spectators will be overseas visitors and ex pats from the traditional rugby nations similar to the recent 20/20 Cricket World Cup.
Rugby has a long way to go to win over the hearts and minds of US public.
I do agree that Italy and Argentina should have got the nod before USA re RWC but maybe there are not enough sizable venues in either country to stage the event.

Ya they are they biggest draw in Rugby Union, no debate and 35,000 is a good crowd. Ireland played NZ in Chicago 8 years ago and drew 61,000. Ireland had outnumbered kiwis 10-1. Wait until the World Cup in 2031 and see how fans Ire, Eng, Sco, Wal and Fra draw and bring over.

Very professional performance by the All Blacks but they're having a lot of issues with those high cross field kicks they definitely need improvement in that area. Billy Proctor and Anton Lienert-Brown were both sublime in the midfield either one of them should come in to the team ahead of Rieko Ioane, Rieko would be better back out on the wing

ABs haven't lost a game in the test matches. Both the Irish and Springboks have lost. All Blacks look more promising atm
You carry that target as a badge of honor and you stand proud, by the way we don't have that honor it belongs to the Springboks.

His willingness to play flat and take the hits whilst releasing the ball at the last minute is gutsy and something that NZ hasn't had in a while. Mo'unga and BB were mostly shovel-it-out guys, McKenzie is not afraid to take it into contact.

If the goal of holding these exhibition games in the USA is to grow the audience for rugby, you'd have to think there's very little value in serving up such a one-sided shellacking. Why couldnt the third game of three-match series with English have played out here? It definitely would've provided the crowd with better taste of competitive top-tier test footie.
Fiji was the perfect scapegoat for the all blacks ,yet sanzar still doesn't want to include fiji and in the rugby championship
Hungrier team wins. This Flying Fijians team doesn't spend time together through out the year. Goes to the advantage of any team playing against them. If this was the 7s code, you could expect an explosive performance from both team.
Disappointed with Fiji's effort. But its no shame in loossing to the All Blacks. Hopefully we get to play them again next year.

AB debutants were great, Fiji clearly would've done better on defense and the breakdown especially.
Otherwise at least they didn't get pumped by 60 points. An improvement nonetheless but pretty much what happens when given the opportunity to play top tier teams.

Playing rugby on turf is a miserable experience and you can see it affect play in this game. Plenty of instances where players should have slid on the ground and instead stuck to it like glue. It's no secret injury rates go up on turf and the sooner they ban that shit, the better.

Fiji is getting there. One day they will beat Nz. The only tier one nations Fiji haven’t beaten is SA, NZ and Ireland. You see the injustice word rugby is giving it to the tier two nations. World rugby should give more tier two test against tier one. Fiji is closing the gap for the tier one nations. Gone are the days where nz used to beat Fiji more than 70 points plus. We will get there one day ..

Abs had to do more back door passes then front and they would've scored more tries in the 1st half
gg Fiji they look threatning in terms of there off loading game just lacking discipline they have a few talent there... moving forward would like to see abs use alot more of there off loading and still room for improvements in terms of making right selections and lineout errors and shuting down opponents attacking especially that cross kick.. all in all abs all the way lettssgoo bring on argentina.

How long were the Fijians in training before this game?
I think C Clarke could be used as a crush ball player in the midfield. A necessary weapon for that surging defence line that European teams are waiting to unleash again on ABs.
They had one game 2 weeks ago. They beat Georgia 21-12.
All blacks more fitter, sharp, faster and clinical. Good learning for Fiji Team. Not a bad result comapring 20 years back. Fiji needs more tier one teams to play against and more resources to support their growth and development.

While it's nice for the USA to host a neutral site match between 2 big names I can't help but wonder why this wasn't a double-header involving the Eagles? Perhaps they should've taken on the Maori? How can the USA be hosting a World Cup relatively soon and only get 2 matches for a summer tour? We American fans have been told for decades "wait until we have a pro league of our own" but with only 5 domestic players required per match day 23 by the MLR we're clearly not improving as a national side.

This version of the fiji team fell off from the world cup and preseason b4 the world cup.
The reason the score was this bad against fiji is the atrocious defense its like from last year they took a step forward and 20 steps backwards all to see the same deficit as the test matches in 2021.
Idk what kind of fucking game plan and training the new coach has been coming up with along with the way hes been picking new players.
Overall it comes down to this everytime the fiji 15s get a big opportunity to play a test match the coaches have been picking brand new players that cant pull their weight while players radradra and a few other more experienced that were at the world cup carry the weight of the whole team.
Other top teams like ireland rsa and all blacks when they pick brand new players they actually perform.
This defense was worse than italys at the world cup against the all blacks.
Im not saying fiji would have won or lost against all blacks if they had better coaching and defense, but they could have won and even if they didnt the score could have been much closer.
There shouldn't have been even a reason fiji performed this badly years of preparation from the last test match against the all blacks, multiple games against top teams last year for the experience.
Fans from Fiji flew all the way to san diego over 24h flight to witness the fiji team go backwards.
And the next opportunity Fiji will get against the all blacks wont be till probably next year or year after.
