yes, fortunately the size of the lenses are quite compact comparing to full frame lenses, but it's still not easy to pack and I always forgot which lens is in my bag lol. This video will give audience a look on the different perspective each lens deliver for video
Really appreciate your words! Will keep up the great work and I will try to do more videos focusing on my experience in using my Fuji cameras, and also the Hong Kong photogenic locations
The shot at 2:12 is great. I love the X-S 10 despite some of its flaws. One of the biggest issues is how quickly stuff gets on or under the sensor. Weather sealing would be great.
I really enjoyed this video, Chris! I have an X-S10 as well, and love shooting video as well. I can't believe the high ISO's you were using for some of the clips! They look good, though. I am assuming you did some noise reduction in post production on these high ISO shot? Let me know please. Thanks for sharing this inspirational video! All the best from British Columbia, Canada!
I did not apply noise reduction in post. I did some color grading in post with FilmConvert Nitrate. I suggest to shoot not more than ISO 5000, anything more than that will start to show heavy noise
Your test shots are honestly so helpful. I'm thinking of getting the X-S10 with the 18-55. I keep thinking maybe the 16-80, but I think the 18-55 is good enough for what I want. This will be my first camera. I want one for pictures of my family, vacations, nothing professional. From your videos, the 18-55 looks so good. Do you think it will be clear video footage and picture quality straight out of the camera? I don't think I will enjoy editing too much. Maybe the occasional video and family pictures here and there.
Hi, did you use warp stabilizer on post production? Because Im so surprised the footages aren't shaky at all, if you didn't use warp stabilizer I'll be surprised more😂
sorry I sold the 70-300mm lens, as I seldom use it for the shoots I do. If you are looking for a tele-zoom lens to use for video in low light, the 50-140mm lens might be a better option at constant F2.8 aperture.
you made my decision for buying this camera easier! I thought for 2-3 days wondering xs-10 can do well with low light? but you video show me it's good enough! thank
Hi! Coming from a Canon 80D, which camera would you suggest. Canon RP or Fuji XS10. I'm leaning towards the Fuji for its colors but a little bit skeptical for the lowlight capabilities.
Hi, the Fuji xs10 has ibis which is great for handheld static shots, and has a wide variety of prime lenses to shoot with. In terms of low light, the XS10 is capable to deliver nice looking footage up to iso 6400, you will start to see visible noise from iso 6400 onwards
the 70-300mm might not be suitable for shooting low light video for concerts, as you would need to shoot at high ISOs, mostly at ISO 2000-3200. the Fuji 50-140mm might be a better option to keep the ISO low
for videography and film which is worth? XS10 or Xt3 this are only my budget range xt4 are expensive. Please guide planning to buy but I dont know which one both are good cameras.
I avoid shooting f-log for low light footage, as there's more noise when shooting f-log in low light. Shooting f-log is best for daytime landscapes to save highlights/shadows.
@@movichris Awesome thanks - really appreciated. I've been hearing mixed opinions on shooting f-log in 8-bit with the X-S10. Quite a few people saying that sticking with a film sim that you like and shooting with the sim burned in is the best way forward due to the reduced info you have for post. The noise is another factor I didn't consider- makes sense!
Nice footage...well how u compare xs10 with Sony a7c in terms of low light performance...I know full frame will be better but how much of a difference. Thanks
My experience with the Sony a7c is good in low light, but comparing to the Fuji X-S10 or X-T4, it’s not really much of a difference in ISO 1600-6400. But you get slightly less noise and sharper image on the a7c when shooting high ISO like ISO 12800
@@movichris thanks for your reply...that's what I found out by watching your both videos, the difference is not so much as described by other UA-camrs.
Great one ! Does 18-55 lens OIS fight with IBIS? Can you do IBIS test videos in different scenarios and type like for walking, IBIS+OIS, IBIS only, IBIS+Digital, Warping with wide-angle lenses etc. It will be a great help to the community. Cheers !
Good question and nice tip! I don’t see issues in the 18-55 lens OIS fighting with the IBIS, in fact, it’s very steady and smooth. I will do the IBIS test in different IBIS settings for walking shots, stay tuned!
So appreciate using 4 lens to test out the low light quality for Fuji camera, must be tired after begging these 4 lens! Great job Chris!

Chris Chang you have done an excellent job as always. You are fast becoming one of my favourite UA-cam channels.
Really appreciate your words! Will keep up the great work and I will try to do more videos focusing on my experience in using my Fuji cameras, and also the Hong Kong photogenic locations
I am also hoping you are still using your Panasonic S5

Amazing! Appreciate your settings shown on the lower left hand of the screen. Made me miss HK too! Hoping to visit your beautiful city again soon.
thank you for watching! yes, HK is a beautiful city for night photos and video!
Beautiful music (also the footage).
You’ve done an amazing job showing me what this little camera is capable of. I got it not too long ago and now I’m inspired to put it to the test 🤙🏼
Glory to the filmmaker! This is spectacular!
thank you for watching!

This was fantastic. Love the Fuji in low light, was not expecting it to be so clean. Did you do anything like noise reduction in post? Thanks!

Beautiful.... Surprisingly at iso2500 the quality still holding very well
Yes it’s even very good at ISO 6400
I was here for the 70-300 :( Can you do a video about low light performance with the 70-300mm.

try not to shoot over ISO 10000, I found ISO6400 is still very good for low light
Great Video!😊🎉
thank you for watching!
Keep up the great work
Very beautiful and usefull video

this is impressive but my x-s10 suffers from heavy noise at 2000 iso, even at 1000. it’s shocking how good this looks, it makes me doubt my camera.
You need f1.4 or f2

Thank you for watching!
Want to try this with the Panasonic S5 using the unlimited recording 8 bit in Super 35mm mode
Amazing
Thank you for watching!
wonderful video! Did you shoot 8bit 4:2:0 or 10 4:2:2 externally?
I shoot 8bit 4:2:0 internally
1/48 SHUTTER SPEED?
Great🎉
thank you for watching!
Is 120fps in xs10 really slow-mo straight out of cam immediately or do I need to edit it to slow it down? Thank you.
The 1080p 120fps is slow-mo straight out of camera

@@chrischang4823 Thank you ! Waiting for it. Also I see you using K&F Polarizer+ND with Kenko mist filter. Please make a video on those too !!
What editing program did you use to edit this film
I use Adobe Premiere Pro for the edit, and FilmConvert Nitrate for color grading
❤️❤️❤️🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
cool
the 18-55 looks like an iphone at night
