Loving these wānanga videos, in this particular video I liked the description of what resistance is. I like to think of resistance as two stages, one is the active effort to prepare yourself and future generations to withstand the storms that come your way and the other is movement, movement in the sense that the kaupapa does not fade into the busyness and demands of the world around them, and that there are attainable steps forward to achieve an end goal and keeping the passion and motivation for the kaupapa. I think its also important to remember that yes one person can make a difference but a collective of people even a collective of people taking small steps together can shift mountains. I will always feel like I am not contributing enough or effective enough in my effort, as a introvert I hate confrontation, i am quiet and I tend to avoid conflict. This being said I will always support and make an effort to contribute in some form, whether its through my teaching mokopuna, attending protests, signing petitions or simply having conversations. Mauri ora
Its not just Māori uprising, lots of no Māori are also beside us. Please acknowledge that when reporting, we need to acknowledge them so we can inspire more to join us
Kia ora e hoa, in all our kaupapa, we acknowledge tangata tiriti, all Indigenous cultures, and our allies. This whakaaro is vital as it emphasises the importance of a united Aotearoa. Ngā mihi 🖤
Watching this I feel sadness and anger for what has happened to Māori. Now on top of the past we now have foreigners selling off and living in our homes whilst Māori live in cars and on the streets in our own whenua tells me successive colonial governments have FAILED our people. We need a revolution, tinkering around the edges aint gonna cut it moving forward when you have a colonial Westminster system that couldn't care less for Māori and would rather we die off never to be seen or heard
Mana Maori Motuhake -Tino Rangatiratana - I am Maori I was born Maori I was nurtured by Maori Parents and whanau. To me its not resistance it is who I am. Everything begins from me and the acceptance of my self. Tihei Mauri Ora.
Just listening to the Cuzy shearing a lot of good issues there was one when he said we are God's and he came do his wakapapa straight back to IO metua kore Cuzy can you share it thanks

The original history of the ancient world is returning, too many time’s have been ignored, nothing is going to stop it’s return.

My grandfather was from the coast and he was punished when he and his classmates spoke te reo. I never heard him speak a word of Māori. So sad.
