She is so awesome so inspirational for such a young Māori lady. Felt her passion when she started the haka and ripped that bill up! Im born in NZ, Samoan decent and so proud to be from New Zealand and I stand with our Māori brothers and sisters ✊🏽🖤♥️🤍 we live on Māori land and I respect that always.

The love from West Africa for you, Ms Hana, so much. We feel you and your peoples pain. Forward ever. Backwards never. The struggle continues. LOVE FROM AFRICA.
Thank you sis for representing us Māori and our ancestors, thank you!!!!! I’ve also lived in Australia since 2008, left NZ when I was 19, I have only now just enrolled to vote because of the light you have shined on this issue, with the amount of Kiwis with Māori heritage living in Australia I would push them to enrol as I could only imagine the amount of Māori who also sit in the same boat as me (not being enrolled) I myself have 2 sisters, 1 brother, 2 brother in-laws and 1 sister in law also living in Australia who would be allegeable to vote however are not enrolled currently
Hana is an inspiration to all, New Zealand is so fortunate to have someone like her in parliament. David Seymour will be forever a stain on New Zealand race relations and can not wait to see him out of politics.
Absolutely beautiful korero with the gorgeous Hana Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke. So humble and always thinking of the people. Wishing you all the best as you continue to stand for your people Hana ❤. Beautiful and heart felt way to wrap it up Jordan. 🖤🤍❤️
Such a touching end to the discussion. People think that struggles and context of different groups are difficult to understand across the world. It is wrong . This is a common struggle. The powerful want everyone to play their game and minimize the minority to a collective. We have to stand up and be counted and be proud. Decolonisation is going to be a very long process world over.
Hanna's voice reverberated across the world with the power of her ancestors behind her. A new generation of first nation activists were born in that moment. Kia Kaha! Tua 'Ofa Atu from Tonga
There not indigenous, they were from over your way some where, arrived here by boat as did most of our ancestors, ate the indigenous Moriori then settled in
We support the Maori. Loved the culture when visiting New Zealand. Beautiful culture. Stand up for your rights. The British walked all over us in East Africa and Americans walked over Natives. You must fight to respect your ancestors and your land. People don't realize the disparities in health and economic disadvantage that the Maori experience. Fight. Hana. Fight!! ❤
Thank you for this interview it touched my heart in a big way. I love this young intelligent strong woman, to me - she could be a huge part of our future in NZ. Watching her leading that Haka off in parliament felt like a natural taking a stand, a "bring it on" and a "fight back" - to this heinous govt we have. This young woman personifies Maori mana as I think I understand it. Standing up for people even though it's hard. Much love from this Pakeha Kiwi. I am in awe and stand with Maori. The treaty ( Maori version clearly ) to me is the founding document of this, unfortunately colonised land, and should not be touched. I understand why it must be defended. I understand too the treaty itself is a constant battle to have honoured. I support that battle. I have heard many people say what is good for Maori is good for everyone and I believe that to be incredibly true.
This bill is disguised as equality but it’s really to eliminate Maori entitlements and what they were promised. Enough of foreign invaders making decisions on how indigenous people should live in their own home. Need to find and expose the wealthy few paying Seymore to voice their ideas that benefits them more.
To see these proud Māori men breakdown down in front of this Māori girl shows the depth this Māori queen has touched men/people/humans around the world with her actions at the NZ Parliament… we love you Hana‼️👀🥹🥹🥹🫡🫡👏🙌👍👌🫶❤️❤️❤️😇🙏
SO proud of this young woman making young movements, she has my support in the protection of the people and its history that needs to change and given back to the people to mould it the right way.
That representation of her and her people was powerful and inspiring. I can tell you that people of all walks of life, are looking on at you with pride and admiration. I can only imagine what that moment meant to the Māori people. Well done!
Hana is so awesome, her courage and determination in doing what's right regardless of what others say is unmatched, she's going to have an extraordinary future ahead of her, leading New Zealand to a better future🙏
I've always wanted to be in parliament but got disillusioned after the past few years. Hana has singlehandedly reignited that passion in me and i have now got a clear path ahead of me to get there. Watch this space ✊🏼
When you're raised within good cultural values and traditions with your people and reo (language), it builds a strength and power inside that, unfortunately, many in this world will never be acquainted with. That's why they needed to colonise from the inside out, to put out that fire that burns within first nations peoples that would fight for the lands they'd been blessed with to care for. And that high energy flowing throughout our people descendeding upon parliament today, that is the flame they've attempted to extinguish for the past 200 years, but it's been stoked with resilience and today we're having a massive bonfire on the lawn of Parliament, with Māori just being who we are, singing, dancing, busting out haka, laughs, tears and illuminating the MANA of all our people. E tū Māori mā. E tū Aotearoa! 🙌🏽
Or maybe its because race-based policies only support 1 group of people, without considering that not all members of that group actually need assistance. These policies overlook non-Maori who are in need.
@@LostOnesAotearoa Also Maori colonized the Chatham islands in 1835 and enslaved the Moriori. Cultural values and traditions change over time, they weren't as perfect as you make it sound. The treaty principles bill is to stop racis,t policies.

It's funny that some people see the haka as 'animalistic' when it took place in a Westminster style parliamentary chamber, a place full of shouting and loud debate all the time like school yard kids by its very design. BUT when each word is said in unison, with passion, showing a form of cohesive human intelligence. It's then "intimidating" and "animal" like... I now see who are real animals

I voted Hana being that the next generation needed a young voice in parliament to rep them and her people. Today she has inspired alot of young ones out there to try step up and take lead. Elders in the parliament are going to argue or debate about past issues the treaty bill is one of them. If young can stand up fight back then our future in Aotearoa would look and be up to date. In the next election 2025 or 26 I can't imagine Hana not being voted in again and those who will be up against her may not have a chance.
