This is guide on the imaginarium theater, a new end game mode like the spiral abyss but with a lot more restrictions and rules. This video covers what you need to know about the Imaginarium Theatre, as well as the special rewards and free primogems you can get.

I like more end game content, but what I really need is more resin to build characters 😂.
the 200 cap is good, more resin will make the game boring after some time and people will quit out of boredom and nothing to do anymore
@strom2644 the 200 cap isn't more resin since the recharge rate is the exact same. Just something hoyo did to please those not smart enough to know the difference
@@FLG_NEO_ the recharge rate is faster than refilling to the max less than 24 hours. so the 200 is good for people who only log on once a day in the very same hour each day. Imagine if the max was only 100 with the same recharge rate. you'd be forced to log on more than twice a day to use resin.
@Alucard400 yeah but that only helps those people, and the 200 takes more than 24hrs actually so your point isn't as good as you think it is. Game is still lackluster in most areas

You will still have access to the the trial characters and I doubt they would do a mono thing.

Don't forget geo traveler! Otherwise your other elements can pick up the slack for the missing geo units, i.e. you don't need exactly 6/6/6.

This is certainly more productive than replaying the same domain over and over again during those days when I just want the dopamine rush of seeing a ton of numbers fill the screen even though I've already ran out of resin.
It's pretty incredible for me cuz I got 2 account's 1 where i just get meta character , 2 where i get whichever character i want, as (f2p)

This sounds kinda like the event from patch 2.8. Where we had to pick 4 characters. With each part of the stage passed, we had to get rid of one character. I kept my C6 Barbara till the last stage (survivability). It also sounds like the Simulated Universe from HSR a little bit. I just hope the Favonius Library doesn't become like The Cat's Tail, used only for this game mode.

Good thing Hoyoverse added this Feature, now i have reason to build character until level 90. I don't have Anemo DPS
Some important information:
_When you invite a character from your friend's roster. That character will be locked and you won't be able to pick other characters from that friend's roster. It applies to one character per friend and if you change your friend, the previously chosen character will also be locked out.
_It is not important if you can clear the floor with maximum amount of stars. You will get all the prizes when you reached certain star.
_Theater is heavily tailored to your elements restriction, you don't need guest stars.
_Make sure you have 18 characters or more built (level 70) to enter hard mode.
_Bring a Venti, Venti op again.
Has there been any clarity regarding friend characters vs. starting 6? i.e. will you actually be able to borrow a whale Arlecchino to overwrite the trial/own Arlecchino you are forced to pick in the starting 6 lineup?
Great point mentioning about the temporary buffs OUTSIDE imaginarium theatre!! I hate the feeling that a character is only temporarily buffed and expires within a certain period of time..
At least have a function to turn ON or OFF the buffs outside Imaginarium theatre. I don’t like the idea and honestly hate the feeling of getting hyped up for a character and then finding it underwhelming after the buff ends.
I understand if the buff was within Imaginarium, that’s totally fine but I found it very unnecessary for the devs to implement the buffs outside Imaginarium.. However, like you mentioned in the video, this “feature” is probably intended by the devs..

They should have left the abyss as it was and just add the theater sh it, but they are cheap as always.

Great now we going to do 2 seperate events for almost the same rewards as before.
Another way to get more resources sounds nice. Add the 200 resin cap, and we have some real QOL improvements. And then the Abyss is less rewarding... Hoyo giveth and Hoyo taketh away.
How is the 200 resin cap an improvement? It could be 1 million but if you dont have a faster resin refresh rate how is it better?
@@thebuddhasmiles Fair point, in that it's not technically "more" resin without changing the referesh rate.
However, this is a QOL for me personally because at 8 minutes per resin, 200 fills up in 26H40m, which means I only have to log in once per day to not lose resin and when I log on, I'm going to have more than 160 resin I'm used to (about 180 resin in 24 hours).
For my mora, I'd prefer if Genshin adopted WuWa's resin wholesale - in WuWa it's 1 resin every 6 minutes, which is 24 hours to refill, which is MORE resin and logging in once per day is fine by me.

It seems that I will play this new mode so often las the Spiral Abyss ..... that means never.
I play Genshin daily since 2 years, but I can't remember been in the Abyss since a year. ^^
I only play abyss to reach floor 10 (I can half clear floor 11 but never have reached floor 12) anyway, I don't try hard for abyss, but still do it... honestly it's disappointing that it will only reset once a month instead of the usual

Basically just making you have to pull less popular or less meta characters because of the restriction. A abyss with restrictions.

Gonna have to correct you on something. When a new banner is out, you can try out those characters for free. In this trial, the character in question is unbelievably stacked with perfect artifacts and maxed out signature weapons.
If the month long buff will indeed be an issue, it will not be because a player will become confused or "tricked" about its power because:
1. As explained, the character trial does this already.
2. In order to obtain the buff you MUST participate in the imaginarium, which has Adventurer level requirements AND it explains to you the buff when you get it.
So saying a new player will pull for Xbalanque and then a month later Xbalanque will deal less damage and the player will be confused, that's not Hoyoverses fault, at that point you have to blame the extra chromosome

All we really want is something like a harder spiral abyss or boss rush mode

I dont like the idea of a buff outside of the abyss/imaginarium theater... but i am really excited for this content

Tbh i am just hoping that it isnt mandatory to use 4 characters per team. Lol cuz rn, i hate alot of charcters bcuz they feel clunky to play( playstyle wise, lag, or team ) . If characters hp resets after each round of combat, i will play this mode, otherwise. Its just another mode i cant do.

The lvl requirement is strange. ...Why would you want to use an unleveled character that is only lvl 40 or 60 anyways? Yeah, let me go into this challenge with my lvl 1 Yun Jin.
An unleveled support is going to contribute more than a leveled on-fielder if you have enough of the latter. Especially in an element like Anemo, which can contribute a good chunk of res down via VV starting from level 1.
I have some 5 star new characters that equal my top level characters due to levelled artifacts & weapons while I’m farming their bosses & stuff for levelling, so it’s annoying for me
It's to prevent vertical investment accounts from passive-aggressively filling out their 18 slots with random level 1s.
Mihoyo obviously is trying to promote horizontal investment to make your whole squad relevant, so you'll need to actually build them to at least the bare minimum before they fulfill entry.
@@phoenixlau Except that vertical investment is the best way to achieve power fast and you can't even throw money at the game to do both at a fast pace.

I think that the vigor system combined with the 3 elements restriction are going to take away a lot of the fun from this.
it will. That is the problem with genshin they only do two things to make the fighting harder. They either had enemies that have long animations to suck your time or they restrict which characters you can use. The whole reason people spend weeks/months building characters is bc that is the character they love to play then hoyo comes in and says nah you cant use that character.
The elemental restriction will change per month and personally I think this is more fun because it motivates me to try new team and not stick to the same one.@@Steve-tk6xv
Actually opposite from veteran perspective, using some new teams with characters, what build, but never used anymore is pretty fun idea
I thought the same when Duviri (in Warframe) came out: you were to choose randomly picked Warframes and weapons. And I was like: “oh no, come on, this is no fun.”
Came out it was a lot of fun to try new things and break out of firm systems.

Wow, an endgame where you don't have to use your built characters... why do we build them again? I dunno. Seems like a not great idea but Genshin's gotta Genshin ig.
Ironically, this mode encourages you to build more characters and teams
they just give that option so players with unbuilt characters like me and many people who don’t play meta can also enjoy this. if you have a problem with having built characters nobody is forcing you to use them, just bring your own which is better anyway and gives you a lot more flexibility.

kind of disappointed about the buffs for specific characters, and the fact that the spiral abyss now resets every month. I thought the abyss was just getting more rewards.
We are getting more primogems but it's not that much.

are "special characters" our own or provided?
The special off-element characters can only be selected if you actually own that character.
Basically a way to promo current/recent banner characters rather than have them be useless in the mode due to wrong element.

Give yourself time. It took me 1 year to build 8 characters (2 teams, and theyre decently invested). Completely f2p. Focus on one character at once and only farm artifacts after you level skill and burst to 6
So you mean me who save and farm for 2 whole year and first year I skip all banners (except kazuha) so now I can have c3 r3 raiden and stay f2p is nothing special bcuz a random person who is in my friend list and I don't even know who they are can use my char that u earn with hard work? It's time to d d d d d d d destroyed my friend list 😅

@@thebuddhasmiles I almost have every char I need when I get yelan and furina it will be everyone after that I just get char I like and don't need wish for char I need also I don't need anyone else char someone else had work and spend time to make his/her char as strong as it is now so I'm not freeloader. This weekend I go and do unfriended most of my friend list bcuz most of them is like when they was low level I helped them once or twice or more then after they didn't need help they never talk to me or ask about me again, so what should I keep them? Or it's the ppl who don't play game that ofter (for whatever reason that not my concern) I probably keep less than my fingers also it's non of your business not hat I do with my friends list (with respect)

what exactly does endgame mode mean in this context?
Nothing related to actual end-game, except if end-game is further explained as “gathering primo gems”.
It means it is balanced towards mature/invested account (endgame), rather than newer/weaker account (early/midgame).
So for this mode in particular, for full reward clear it's asking your account to have a lot of built characters of various elements, something that would be easier to fulfill if you've been playing for a while and horizontally investing into many different team options.
