Keep these updates coming - they are fascinating. We cannot really grow taxus anymore - deer food all winter long. Loving the future plans and the endless efforts to make perspective matter.
The sphinxes are perfect -- I did think that they had been there all along! The 3D render shows how the landscaping plan for the rear garden is elegant and tasteful. And the discovery of two new fountains is wonderful!
I love those sphinxes, so perfect! I love tilleul, great idea with that! And the fragrance from their flowers in the spring will be wonderful. Truly a perfect layout for that back garden. Fantastic about that chain! Everything you're showing today looks like it will perfectly suit your space and the chateau. It's good to see someone renovate things with excellent taste and ideas.
Wow, hidden fountains uncovered - the place gets better and better! The garden plans are stunning! I had a little laugh about you being a flight attendant - you did very well :)
I am more and more amazed by what you have got accomplished . The two fountains are a wonderful discovery . There might be more surprises waiting to be uncovered . Best of luck to you in this project and thank you for sharing the progress .
I hope the heavy trucks don't damage the sequoia. Please put the drive further away. What a great find in the garden with another fountain. You are making great progress. The forest flowers are stunning. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank goodness those two uncovered fountains were symmetrical! After watching your views I know you like symmetry! When I watch your videos I feel like I’m in a fairy tale and you are the prince building his dream home - your consideration to the history is to be praised. I just love watching you bring this Chateau back to life!
I can only imagine how exciting it was for you to discover two more fountains. Another shopping opportunity? I love your plans for the garden. Like everything you do se well considered. The chateau could not have a better owner.
YOU leave me speechless, everytime I watch one of your videos, the design approach/ restoration process. One of the things I appreciate the most, you take your time to think about what is the best approach 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼... well done guys !
Thank you for the garden updates. The Landscape Designers' plans look spectacular. Your garden will look magnificent in the end. Also, the pink cyclamens are growing beautifully under the shade of the trees. You are doing a wonderful job restoring this estate.
@@slicksalmon6948 I was wondering if there were health reasons, because in this video at the beginning he mentioned that he was placing Taxus also known as Yew trees or shrubs and they are one of the world's most poisonous hedges. I also think maybe they took a break from filming ? 🤔
You are such a classy guy and you going over what you want to do adds so much and you can feel how much love you are putting into it. I live in Budapest and there are so many beautiful buildings. The goverment is rebuilding the castle area that was destroyed in the war to perfection where they still have the original drawings. One of the buildings has chain rail That each link must weigh 5 lbs they perfect rectangles, not sure how they were made. This is a small detail in a spectacular building. One of 12 being built or restored. The interior was poured concrete, but all exterior detail is perfection. The city goverment must have lost its most talented people, there city projects from around 30 years ago that were great . No one with skill and vision you have today. I’m no where near the level you are, but it drives me crazy seeing what’s being done in one of the worlds most beautiful cities.
I'm still in love with your bounty of cyclamen. They're such a lovely shade of pink. I have a white one blooming in my kitchen window. It's not quite as impressive. I really like your vision for your garden. The yews will be wonderful. I have yet to try them here in Texas. Texans seem to grow Podocarpus more often. I see mostly small Taxus, when I see them. Not like those majestic ones back in MN that are many meters high. I like the richness of their flat evergreen leaves and the beautiful red berries. The whole scene will be spectacular for large events. I can't wait to see it finished.
The cyclamen are spectacular! I hope you use them as a motif. Would love to see them in stained glass . . . on stationery . . . Glad you negotiated the extra acres. Landscaping is beautiful. Don't overwork yourself!
I hope that when you do decide to do concerts, that you will put them here on youtube. You have beautiful plans and I'm anxious to them come to fruition!
Bellissimo Giardino. Your chateau property is very unique, something out of a French Fairytale Castle. Architectural details are very French in times past. Our favorite palace gardens are those of ROYAL PALACE OF CASERTA, about three kilometers long with fountains, statues and waterfalls cascading down from the back mountain. Extremely fascinating. Some trees in the forest are over two thousand years old. We enjoy your explanation of how your gardens may look like.
I would like to suggest investigating more the surroundings of the parterre sud fountain. The perforations at a regular distance in the wall surrounding the circular pond could indicate that the entire space surrounding the central fountain was part of a larger water garden, of which the fountain was only the center of the entire installation, perhaps intended to aquatic plants with the central fountain as a focal point. It reminded me the gardens of the Roman villa of the Station, located in the ancient Anticaria of imperial Betica, present-day Antequera, Spain. Excellent work and congratulations for respecting the magnificent sequoia! Greetings from Argentina.
It's good to start working on the gardens while work is also on going inside. So that if you finish all the work inside the chateau, all the plants have fully grown by that time.
Querido obrigada pelo vídeo. Amo seu castelo e viajo em seus projetos. Amo sua elegância , sensibilidade e respeito com a questão histórica e especificidades da natureza. Aguardando, até o final do projeto. Bye
What happened.....? I hope you and everyone around you are ok ....wanted to see the gate installed ,the main castle and the gardens.....will continue to wait...hopefully for not to long..chao...!!
Dr. Dampierre Chateau! I am checking in to ask how you aand partner are...missing the fascinating videos and endless restorations in process! hope everything is good in health and sooner or later a video will present itself!
They have disappeared!! We have not heard or seen the château restorers for several months. We need to send someone out to the château to carry out a wellness check. Did they fall into the fountains??
Your plan is lovely and elegant, befitting your castle. I love the fountains and the symmetry. Balance in formal gardens is important. Also the detail in maintaining the walls, and keeping the sunken gardens will be amazing. Which variety of Taxus are you going to plant? I cannot wait to see the fountains up and running and the plantings. What I find most exciting are the walls of pruned, ‘topiaried’ Lindens. They are magnificent when pruned and shaped well. You are doing a great job. I cannot wait to visit and see it in person. Bigger is better.
The renovation approach you choose is all around the correct one. It is essential to have the vision to include the gardens, forest, and water surrounding the chateau as crucial elements as the inside. It is a delight to see your progress, and explanations of how it will be once finished are fantastic.
Antoni, The plans for your garden remind me so much of Chateau de Courances near Paris. This delightful older lady who remembers WWII when her husband's chateau was used / misused while he was fighting overseas. Monty Don's French Gardens 1 @ 51.43 Your trees and hedges, moats and chains - I hope you enjoy this short clip. And thank you for your videos we learn so much.
The Exquisite designs of the garden and those fountains are so amazing it’s going to look stunning.. Those little pink strange bulbs are 😱 awesome … I have a bulb here that is kinda the same but different and huge … my late grandmas Blood lilies (Haemanthus albiflos) I have about 50 of them .. they are precious.. Thank you 🙏 For the tour ❤
It keeps getting better and better, everything is sjeesde glorious, the little flowers , stone walls and sphinxes, the trees/ fountains etc. By adding your new ideas it will only enhance its beauty. Wise and esthetic decisions 🌿
Im from Australia and restored a 1889 Town Hall as my home and work studio in the 1990s, It gives great joy to see what you are planning and restoring. Hope to visit for a concert or event. How is it going today? I see some 12 weeks have past and looking forward to more explanations and your thoughtful endeavours.
These garden plans look great. Love that tradesmen are learning new skills. I REALLY love the creativity of the geometric lower hedges as it draws the eye down then up as you walk towards the statue ❤
I miss the updates on this channel :(
Beautiful.

Wonderful and fascinating. ❤
They look like English garden creatures -the face looks much like a young Queen Victoria.
You are missed!
I see your Instagram posts regarding your plastic surgery practice.. Please don't forget about more new content here.
Missing your videos !! Anxious to see how your restoration is progressing.
Nothing like an ‘Irish good-bye’ from a French you-tuber! Best wishes to all!
The drifts of cyclamen are absolutely spectacular! I look forward to seeing gardens evolve.

@@ElectroT0y No, I didn't notice that! I'd thought they looked a wee bit like Marie Antoinette.
