Not surprised but just very happy that it is happening. There seem to be so many English and Americans who are restoring these wonderful properties. It’s lovely to see the French countrymen doing the same.
It's wonderful seeing a château restored properly, with historical accuracy in mind. I also love that you only post when there's something interesting to report, and not everyday time lapse posts of you sweeping the floor or mowing the lawn.
How wonderful that you have taken on this lifetime project! I look forward to seeing how you balance historic restoration with modern amenities and your personal taste.
The framework in the attic is spectacular. The whole structure is amazing and the views of your castle is breathtaking. I love your excitement and enthusiasm, it’s pure joy.
It is so gratifying that a French Person is taking on the passion project of restoring a French Chateau. You clearly greatly respect the historic value of your property and are willing to go the extra lengths to maintain the integrity of the buildings. I am looking forward to watching the progress of your restoration project. In Canada we do not have anything of this age to appreciate so we can live vicariously through your efforts.
Isolation. Insulation. I finally understand. I am amazed by both historical structures and delighted at their rebirth through Antoni's care and knowledge.
Such a joy to join you on the tour of the Châtelet . Your vision and respect for researching the history of the project is so interesting. Cannot wait to see the next steps towards the restoration. Definitely Quality above Quantity. Thankyou so much.
Amo ver vídeos cheios de história e respeito ao que foi feito nos séculos anteriores ao que vivemos. Parabéns e obrigada por nos mostrar tudo com tanta simpatia.
Truly a monumental restoration task that you have undertaken but I must say, I think you are the luckiest man in the world to have been given the privilege of breathing fresh life back into this architectural masterpiece.
Your chatelet has such a history that will fascinate all future visitors, for sure! Months from now, we look forward to a restored building made richer by the stories about it. Great job!
with the tiles, I like it that you see the different time periods in the tiles used, so maybe it doesn't matter too much its a patchwork. it tells the story of the house.
Fabulous! I love your enthusiasm, and I must say I can understand why you love this place. So much history, and really in very good condition. Be careful going through doorways, with your tall height :) The accoustics in that one room (stereo) were amazing - you should've sung a song!
Excellent tour. You are the perfect custodian of the magnificent property. The details you include make for great content. The prison marks. The pigeon roost or habitat.
Aloha, What a charming little chatelet! I imagine this could be a lovely dower house for grandmother or nanny to live in whilst caring for your children. One of my favorite features is the future bathing chamber. It has a spacious luxury that compliments a lounging 🛁 tub. I very much adore the attic space. The first room feels like a cozy yet grand sitting room. The half brick walls could easily accommodate low shelving, nestled beneath those glorious wooden arches. The amount of wall space could easily accommodate a large library of novels and picture books. This would leave a large open space perfect for children to gather and play with toys, read or color. Spending an afternoon lounging on a classic wrought iron daybed in front of the window, with a view of the chateau, reading and napping between visits with the children would bring joy to any grandmere. And the former Dovecote would make a splendid bedchamber with one of those French style wrought iron canopy beds. A sitting area adjacent to the bed and framed by the windows would be both charming to the eye and restful to the heart. Two dainty chairs and tiny table just big enough to enjoy a cup of tea before bed or hot chocolate and croissants in the morning would lend that romantic vibe, a worthy compliment to the miles of countryside beyond the windows. Beautiful, stunning , masterpiece. 🤩🥰 My thanks for your gracious tours of your grand new home!
I think it’s fantastic that you have such a discerning eye for historical detail and the conviction to make sure that those details are preserved and celebrated in the restoration of your home. You should be applauded for that! 👏
Wow! The history and architecture of that building is amazing! I’m really looking forward to seeing the restoration start. You have an amazing vision for how you want it restored. Love from Mary in Southern California 💗
Nice to learn some more about the Chatelet Antoni ! My experience with what we call "Historic England" or "Historic Buildings" is that the officers tell you all the things you have to do to make it authentic and then they go home at night, close their Modern security door, pull the curtains on their double or tripple glazed windows and then turn on their lovely warm central heating ... but at the same time expect you the owner to live like 400 years ago and now live in a "Museum". So make sure to the remind them from time to time that this is not going to be a Museum but an actual working HOME !!! Before ordering 50 new windows with the lead and the hexagon have one window made up and installed, I really think you will lose a LOT of light with the new windows. Is the Chatelet going to be a single "apartment" or divided into several ? Thanks !
Your joy and happiness for this project is contagious. This property was waiting for YOU and no one else. In the ensuing years, you will become father, husband, wife, to an amazing architectural family. Bravo! (Beautiful shirt!)
I can see your vision for this place! It’s going to be a beautiful restoration. But more importantly, you’re going to help it endure for later generations. It’s so exciting to see people who are passionate about being the stewards of our shared histories. 🏰
I am writing this in Sept 2023 and just realized that is the time set to start the restoration. I would be excited to watch the progress. I admire the young doctor for tackling such a grand project and wish him all the best. I subscribed and hope this will allow me the opportunity to follow along with his goals and achievements. I adore European history, particularly France. What an amazing endeavor! Good luck and God bless, Rebecca
WHEW!Exhausting just listening to that itinerary,I simply wonder what drives anyone to take on these gigantic projects, especially when one has to listen to authoritarian dictates as to just what can and cannot be done? This is one of the most attractive I've seen online so far and the sweeping beautifully green lawns just wonderful plus the beautiful rich foliage of the surrounding trees the light color Château de Dampierre with it's amazingly historic entrance is offset brilliantly.
What a treat to 'tag' along with you on this adventure. I agree with other's comments that it's wonderful to see a person of French ancestory restoring the chateau!
22:46 I would have never thought of pigeons. Instead, the first thing that came into my mind was marble platting, in the roman style where you nail the plates to the walls...
Good morning ❤ Just woow 😱 The history … from years gone by is incredible and truly amazing… but yet so dark … we can only imagine how they lived …it’s mind boggling…. This is such a beautiful place , thank you 🙏 for sharing its story and now it’s future renovations that will live on for years to come …. ❤️🥰
Can’t wait to see the progress, the Chateau is full of history. Your a natural UA-cam presenter, with each video you seem more relaxed! Where do you find the time to research this stuff since your a DR? Cheers Kirk
I am in awe of the magnitude of the project and that you have the vision and excitement to see it through! It’s so exciting to see someone love the history of their property and home, there is much too little of that in the US, I’m afraid.
I cannot wait to see the work begin! I really admire your passion and attention to detail. I’m so happy you’re allowed to make some changes that will enable the building to not only be restored but also usable! Museums are great but… this will be living history!
Me parece todo tan fantastico ,una persona tan joven y muy implicada yo te doy las gracias por todo ese entusiasmo que en verdad contagia muchas gracias❤
This is a wonderful life project and it seems like the correct person is leading the restoration. I look forward to seeing your work and to hearing about your journey ahead.
That property is just magnificent. You may want to consider using LED strips because it’s a wire lighting combination easy to hide with paint or fiber optics for those stairwells because a single fiber optic cable can feed dozens of lights. Good luck. I can’t wait to watch.
Congratulations Antoni What an incredible life project. I highly recommend viewing Juan Pablo Molyneux’s video of his restored chateau (on UA-cam), especially what he did to the attic space it’s incredible. Looking forward to following along on your adventure.
This Chateau will be fabulous! Your taste is excellent! I love the many challenges. Wish I could be there but from the USA I can only join you in spirit. Thanks for sharing your Chateau’s rebirth.
Bonjour, I Loved the tour, and can't wait to see the Chatelet finished. Pigeons are also doves. The area that was built for them is called a "dovecote" They were raised for food, both for human consumption and to feed the animals that were kept at the Chateau.
I agree with other comments. Your restoration is interesting both because of the beauty and condition of the property and the taste and discernment that you bring to it. I hope you will show us each step of your progress now that you are vlogging and not just the finished product.
It’s so nice to see a Frenchman restoring this beautiful property. So much history to be discovered!
Right! Kick the bloody English out😅
Mais les français restaurent aussi pourquoi êtes vous surpris ?
Not surprised but just very happy that it is happening. There seem to be so many English and Americans who are restoring these wonderful properties. It’s lovely to see the French countrymen doing the same.
will he marry me?
It's unfortunate that the original family was forced to sell
The framing in the attic is so neatly and carefully done, quite impressive. Compliments to the ancient carpenters…
This dude is so charming, I'm hanging on his every word. The castle is nice, too 😂
It's wonderful seeing a château restored properly, with historical accuracy in mind. I also love that you only post when there's something interesting to report, and not everyday time lapse posts of you sweeping the floor or mowing the lawn.
HEY! I find that interesting too!
@@anitariley2681 Do you like watching paint dry, too?
yes @@jelsner5077
This restoration is going to be amazing to watch. Thank you for sharing with us!
It's the best part of my day when Château de Dampierre posts! So excited to see the renovations once they start!
How wonderful that you have taken on this lifetime project! I look forward to seeing how you balance historic restoration with modern amenities and your personal taste.

It is the most exquisite Chateau and restoration I have ever seen! Tres magnifique! I look forward to more and more. Just fascinating.
Isolation. Insulation. I finally understand. I am amazed by both historical structures and delighted at their rebirth through Antoni's care and knowledge.
You might be the most charming man living today. I’m totally enjoying your videos. Keep it up!
I think my favorite part is the gatehouse! The presentation is stunning as the first thing you see prior to the chateau.❤
Such a joy to join you on the tour of the Châtelet . Your vision and respect for researching the history of the project is so interesting. Cannot wait to see the next steps towards the restoration. Definitely Quality above Quantity. Thankyou so much.

Який приємний та освідчений чоловік!
This is so exciting. I can’t wait to follow the progress. With your exquisite taste, I’m sure it will be gorgeous!
Your chatelet has such a history that will fascinate all future visitors, for sure! Months from now, we look forward to a restored building made richer by the stories about it. Great job!
I did wonder what the inside of a gatehouse looked like. Thank you for sharing.
Love your videos. Such an exciting project, and I love your enthusiasm for the task! Good luck. ❤

I can just imagine that future bathroom with a pale blue ceiling and that beautiful copper tub, candles all around, pure Heaven!
Excellent tour. You are the perfect custodian of the magnificent property. The details you include make for great content. The prison marks. The pigeon roost or habitat.

Just Mesmerising!!
so interesting that you have diff buildings from diff periods of time.
I'm in looove, and with the castle too
Je vous voudrais dire « insulation » pas « isolation « 😊
I love all your videos!! What a beautiful chateau.
I'm absolutely delighted. I'm looking forward to new videos. I wish you great luck and patience.
Love this video, the history and your vision for the restoration that you have shared! Merci! 🙏
Amazing historical property
L'idée des câbles visibles est intéressante. L'espace est suffisamment important pour les faire oublier
So glad to see you again!
Fascinating to see the construction. And wonderful to imagine how you will turn it into something so beautiful inside.
