Editor Riff here 🤓 Don't worry all! We are working to find that happy medium of what the audience and Caleb likes 🧠 Love you all! THANKS FOR WATCHING 💞
Count your blessings, man. Around here the pawn shops don't have prices listed on the games. When you ask about one of them they take them over to the computer and go to ebay immediately. You will never find a deal. Ever. I honestly have no clue how they stay in business other than paying people with addictions 20% of the value for things that they steal for drug money. I have to live and die by the garage sales and estate sales. Great video as always.
I've only found one good game deal at a pawn shop and that's cause they screwed up when looking it up it was pokemon shield with the season pass for $39 they comp'd the base version lol
Cool content, just have to say that as a collector I wish the resellers got less but I do appreciate that without them I might never get a few of the cool things on eBay.
I would keep the nicest meter of the bunch in case you ever decide you'd like to attempt any kind of board repair! It can be a fun little hobby, tinkering with consoles, electronics, soldering, microsoldering, etc.
Small sample size, but very cool idea/video. Also may I just say - you're killing it with production value here. Love the music choices and the text pop-ups (Question of the day!).
Just recently landed on this channel and man am I excited? Lol your edits are on point, I love the “did you know” pop ups, it’s just all around very pleasant to watch. We appreciate the entertainment!
I actually found this to be a fresh take on the videos you've been doing, super enjoyable and was crazy to see some of the turnaround prices you got in this one. So that's a fat Yeh from me 👍
Okay your editor is worth every cent you spend on him! XD props to the UN Squadron audio in the last video I watched too! :D It's really fascinating to see how rural vs urban goes with this stuff, I'd wager overall rural would be better on average because the stuff would still get bought and subsequently sold to stores, but there's far less eyeballs looking at things the second they hit shelves? Very brave flipping The Prisoner! That Blu-ray epitomises why I find US prices so fascinating. You can still buy it new here for under $60! heh I guess international shipping and import duty busts that up though even if it is a region free release.
That ps3 superslim deal made me so jealous, also yeh Wow Caleb, 2 out of 3 of my comments I've ever commented on ur channel have been hearted by u, thx man :)
wow Goof Troop I forgot about thst one! It brings back many memories. Played it for many hours before noticing the passwords to all the levels written in the back of the manual. (bought it used from a gameshop)
Rural. Urban areas tend to have collectors and resellers hitting up pawn shops regularly. You can find some hidden gems in rural pawnshops that see very little buyers interested in video games. Have also found some rare horror VHS tapes in rural pawn shops that would never sit around for ages collecting dust in urban areas.
Meters might be hard to sell because that's the most important tool to have when doing electrical work to keep you safe. Those ones look pretty old and beat up so they're not as reliable. However, there could be some dude out there who's been looking for one of those specific meter for collecting purposes lol
The trick is holding on. Sometimes an item stays a year (I'm also doing non game related) and then sells out of a sudden :) Long term money is still money
It is a bonus when the editor picks on Caleb's no audio situation and adds his own. Very funny. Even funnier, when and if he adds his own resolutions and fixes to the audio situation.. But honestly Id miss his fill in audio transcribing what was likely said..
I remember a couple years ago I went to this one pawn shop a TON. Like I got all my consoles and games there, it was $10 per disc game, from ps4 to GameCube they were all the same price. I also got my Xbox 360, GameCube and GameBoy Advance there. I miss that place, it closed down a couple years ago. Only pawnshop near me now is super rundown, and when u ask for the price of a game (they have no prices on them) the person behind the counter legitimately opens up an eBay scan app to give u the price. Aka no deals.
Congratulations on finding that jackpot of a blu ray set for only $3! 👏 👏 👏! It isn't too often that people can find a $100+ item for so cheap! Also I am curious if you plan to apply the expected profit of the items in this video to your gamecube gambit videos?
I know now this is an older video but still let me be a thread necromancer so I can say that this takes me back. Used to be you could hit up the pawnshops, thrift stores and fleamarkets to get some good deals but now everyone looks it up online and puts full blown retail sometimes higher hoping to take advantage of people. The goodwill takes all of their good stuff and puts them in online auctions. It's super rare to get a good deal where I live now. It's cheaper to go on Ebay instead of buying it locally. I do miss the old days of game hunting here.
Wreckfest is amazing, we're having so much fun with this crazy game. Kudos to the crazy people who coded the AI of the other drivers, they are totally crazy and will do anything to crash your car and cause accidents.
This content turns me on! Definitely most engaging resale channel I’ve found Ripp should be making millions for his editing quality! You guys are a great team. Ps: always be on the look out for lil guitar effects pedals some of them are always hard to find and worth so much more than you’d ever believe looking at them in a pawn shop
I've mostly only scanned random things at my place. I tried scanning once in a thrift store and felt weird so I stopped after two scans. There have been a couple disney VHS tapes that kept catching my eye so I decided to check it out. It was a reprint though XP
Holy crap that chime at 9:58 scared me. Sounded like one of my door/window sensors being triggered in my house at 11pm i was bout to pounce on someone. Now I am all riled up.
Love the content! Came upon your channel accidentally and your energy is contagious. I’m out hunting right now because you’re so inspiring! I was wondering how one becomes an Amazon seller?
Channels like yours have helped me to rebuild my collection on the cheap, opened my eyes to all kinds of game hunting tips and tricks and I’ve also picked up a sweet reselling side hustle reselling which has helped fund the collection, my kids’ birthdays, etc. keep up the great work!
I always have better luck in the rural I live in than when I go to urban area pawn shops. Just found a complete copy of Afrika on PS3 in one of my hometown shops over the weekend.
I feel like we need more of these but with 10 of each. The sample size here is just far to small to get an actual gauge Yes more please , larger sample size please
What’s the furthest you’ll drive to source ? Do you have a fixed rotation of the same own shops? Or do you occasionally drive further than your normal radius to try something new ?
You can't open it up because it's sealed and too valuable to crack, but you ought to give The Prisoner a watch (the original from the 60s) for an episode if you can stream it or something. Very unique show that's pretty out there. Was the first DVD set I bought when I got a Playstation 2 because as a child I watched it on the Sci-Fi channel. This whole comment makes me feel old but I still recommend The Prisoner.

I mean, that’s really all he’s doing…. He is trying to make money also. In turn he’s trying to get it for cheap and ask top price. I’m glad some do.
Same around here for the very few we have. It’s either yard sales or ppl selling on fb marketplace desperate to sell.
