Instead of telling us the estimated profit it would be cool if you could actually show us your profits once items are sold, I know some might take a while but it would give ppl the chance to truly see how this works
He’s said before the problem is that it can literally take months and he would have to parse through all of his sales to find each of the corresponding items since they don’t all sell at nearly the same time. If you have any individual questions about logistics he’d probably answer them, but honestly his EV prices are almost always within a 10% margin of error based on market fluctuations/unexpectedly low liquidity.
I think if anything he could do a post profit of previous videos once it gets processed and goes through

To me, that implies "I'll work with you". You have to remember, pawn shops are completely customer driven business. They rely on YOU for their entire business model. She should have waived the tax, at the very least after saying what she said. As someone that worked over a decade in customer service, I would never do what she did and would not expect a customer to return afterward.

Perhaps she didn't think the monetary value was high enough to offer a discount, but as I said before; as someone with over a decade of experience in customer service, I would have at least dropped the tax at the VERY LEAST after saying that.
Great finds man! Actually that super Mario bros 3 you got is a “left bros” so the bros at the bottom is on the left side instead of the right, so their an earlier print so I believe they sell for a little more than the normal more common version!
Yep they are more valuable. I sold a left bros manual for 45 dollars on eBay last year almost instantly after I listed it

Shame the pawn shops don’t work like this in the UK as they charge on or above retail (eBay usually for used goods). Even our equivalent of a yard sale is filled with people wanting close to retail for used goods. It’s not uncommon to see poor condition 1st gen switch consoles with an asking price of £200+ and they won’t move from their price. Retro consoles are similar and people just want too much, even for a collector to consider.
The first gen switch is an unusual one, as it has a very big exploit used for hacking.

Trick is to used charity shops 👏 they sometimes sell good gear to sell on plenty where am from and usually give bundle deals too but the likes of CeX and other chains just no point coz they don’t slip up
@@scottishrolltv2217 some charity shops can be good but a lot of them have started to get wise and charge close to the going rate, certainly in my local area.

That’s exactly right on the pawn shops. I was a pawn broker for 10 years. Most pawn shops and especially mom and pop pawns will always come down a few bucks

Ps3 games are selling like hot cakes look at their value continuing to increase. Trapped in that console no other way to play a lot of those games. Collectors love that shit.
The Sega GT/JSRF dual pack is actually a lot more common than the Jet Set Radio Future Standalone game, the Super Mario Bros 3 copy you picked up however is the more sought after "Left Bros" variant. Great finds!
gt/jsrf was bundled with consoles at some point, and the standard release probably sold way less because of how niche it was.
i remember even just a couple years ago when game stores could hardly give the dual packs away. makes sense that it went up though, since JSRF still hasn't been rereleased or added to backwards compatibility at all.

I would look into that Mario Bros! It’s called a “left” Bros. A little variant from the common one found. It’s the first print run and then they shifted the text over so it looked better. Has a little more value also.

I resell shoes, sometimes electronics. This is not a hard side hustle to do, all it takes is time out your day to look for deals and some patience while selling.

I’ve sold stuff on eBay and yeah you would get more but it’s a hassle selling all the stuff, so yeah you make money but you have to factor in the time you spent buying the games, packaging them and posting them out and fees. Not as easy when you do all that.
You could probably make more money working in a regular job. Unless you get lucky on some items.

Only profitable thing I found was buying collectors editions months in advance of certain games release and up charging it by like 100% you'd be surprised how many rich people in other countries don't have access to that stuff and will pay whatever for it.
For one I bought it at $239.99 and sold it for $540 on eBay. Even after fees still over 100% in profit. Only issue is you have to be clairvoyant which games collectors editions will sell out quickly and be in maintained high demand. Assassin's Creed and COD certainly never good buys.

the voice overs are unique,however the sound effects are not, other youtubers such as retro rick have the same sounds when they find some holy grail item (holy music) or when they drop something or do a bad buy (child oeh noise). rif you can be more creative, i know you can!

I want to be completely honest, I think you do an amazing job selling at your Video Game Expos but buying and selling things at top price is kind of painful to see. With scalpers rising so much in current gen it’s a bit disappointing.
Reselling is like crypto mining: it’s inevitable and kinda cool but also it’s a cancer on society and you’re a prick if you go out of your way to do it

Great video for content, but realistically, it's going to take forever to sell most of that stuff if it sells at all. The majority of people that would be looking for them are people trying to complete a collection/collectors. Sadly just because Amazon has stuff listed for a price, doesn't mean it's moving. Other than the consoles, that Mario 3 left bros is probably the best thing and most likely to move quickly. Also, check the Resident Evil Revelations label. If it was a first run the spine will have a misprint and say "revelaitons".

You're sotra right about pawn shops pricing their items high to get as much as possible but they also pay poop for those same items as well. For example My pawn shop pays usually a dollar per game that's brought in and its its new they'll surpsingly give 10 bucks but never more than that.
I seen these game everywhere on pawn shop at my areas and it very very cheap to buy it, can get it by 90% off from the games he had

Basically, the art of video game reselling just complicates the collecting process. I try not to buy from resellers that aggressively price games based on a few odd pricing guides. He’ll sit on many of those for quite some time as most buyers won’t pay the premium when there are tons of consoles and games out in the wild

Do you ever check firmwares on systems? I got a New 3DS XL in beautiful shape from Cash America Pawn two or three days before Christmas in 2017 for $100 out the door, and with a free copy of Mario Golf that I went and sold later. It took a bit of haggling, but when I saw the firmware on it was almost a year old I knew the thing had been sitting in the store forever and that they'd be desperate to get what they could for it. Also they didn't know the difference between New 3DS XL and 3DS XL and that New 3DS XL was a better system that sold for more. Still, can't believe I got that price so close to Christmas.

Which you can honestly find a decent mirrorless camera or GoPro at a pawn shop for pretty cheap
Most people don't use the camera mic. You can get a nice sounding lavalier for 10 bucks and hook it to your phone or camera. If it is his camera dropping audio tho he can do like what I said and record video and record audio with camera.
@@JustMamba Lavalier mic is going to have a huge dropoff on the pickup pattern, he would need something more omnidirectional than a lav. And if the camera mic is dropping audio, I don’t know that plugging in an external mic would help. That seems like it would be an issue with the camera itself.

Last month I went into a pawnshop and they where originally selling a Xbox one for 59$ but it turn out it didn't work but they told me they had had a Xbox one S for 69$ but they would do 59$ for me I won't lie at first I legit thought something was going to be wrong with it I tested it at the pawn shop ofcourse but I can't test it fully to see if it turns off after awhile or if it gets to hot etc turns out the Xbox worked perfectly fine I still got the price tag just for memories to remember I got a Xbox one s for 59$. P.s it was originally 183 plus tax

JSRF/Sega GT isn’t going to go for what you are saying it will, I’m well versed in the Xbox collecting scene and that’s like the number one Xbox title you’ll see besides halo at a pawn shop or retro game store, it’s a $5 game all day long, the stand alone typically goes for $20 just because of how hard it is to find.

Here in germany you get a New Nintendo 2 DS XL for 129 euro in acceptable condition, and about 190 € for like new condition.
