I know it's a small thing , but I wanted to personally thank you, Javier, for all the effort you put in. I became better in permier and the thank to you after god, I'm so thankful!
I learn something new in every one of your videos. Just when I thought I new everything about these buttons....BOOM "the time indicating the duration of your clip between IN/OUT points...." I had no clue! And its literally right in front of me! Keep them coming sir!
This video just enlightened me.. All the tools that I need were just there, but I never used them because I don't know their function. Thankyou so muchhh
Gang function is elusive and more specialized than common edit behaviours. One thing it’s very handy for is verifying imported EDLs or AAFs. Say another editor sends you media and an EDL from something other than Premiere, they send you a flat reference export of their whole edit as well. Load the timeline in the record monitor and then the reference file in the source window, gang them together and play to verify the media and EDL have imported correctly. You can easily see edit points that are out of sync, missing clips, bad speed changes and more. Assistant editors rely on ganging these together for timeline integrity because EDLs, AAFs and other protocols are rarely 100% perfect. Love your channel JM! ❤
@@JavierMercedes that’s one tip for you compared to the 1227 you’ve given me. Honestly, there’s been any number of times in which I have used gang but they are not frequently repeated to be sure. It’s one of those handy oddball tools that you’re really glad exists when you need it.
This is SUCH a good video format! I love this idea, it helps explain a LOT of indepth Premiere Pro features in such a conscice time frame. I love getting a lot of useful information in a short amount of time, and this video did just that! Thank you, and looking forward to more content!
Your videos explain everything in a very simple and good way. It seems to me that a lot of people are jumping over to Davinci now, what are your thoughts on that. I believe and hope Adobe will do what they can to make premiere pro better. Still think they should do something about the price, they should move away from subscription
Hey Espen! The Adobe team personally flew me out to their headquarters to meet the engineers and I can assure you they are very aware of the situation and working to their best ability to come out with a quality product that runs smoothly. I don’t know how you compete with free though. And I also don’t know how long DaVinci can survive the way it is by putting out their product for free. They just need to keep everything free until they get enough market share and people dependent on their ecosystem to then start charging a subscription or some sort of fee to cover business costs. It’s impressive what they have accomplished so far.
Nice one man! I've been using Premiere for years and until now didn't know what half of these buttons were used for haha. Thank you for bringing them to my attention. 👍💥💯
Squelsh is a matter of accepting noise and artefacts or not. If I am recording for film I would set it low, because want every word spoken on the recording, even if it’s a little noisy. If the signal goes on a P.A. at a live event, live on air at TV or to the headphones of a director I don’t want to get any noise and I prefere the signal to be muted in case. So I Set it to high… more free channels in a bank does not mean the are any better, it just means you have more channels to choose from, which comes in handy if you are using more microphones and want to have them all in the same bank (as recommended).

I appreciate your channel very much. You're pure talent, and Adobe needs people like you, man.

Damn, Learnt more than i did in the last 4 years with Premiere! You are a legend!
Lol! 4 years were ineffective...

I see a new Javier video - I press like button!
Thanks Medvedo!
Using hotkeys and midi controllers for these is a great move too
For sure, lots of these I use hot keys for but wanted to cover all of them in one video.
@@JavierMercedes I'm glad you did!
You don’t miss, great video, there is always something new I learn from you. 🎉
Thanks Jorge!
Didn't know the multicam feature. I'll use that a lot, is very helpful thnx

Hey, good job as usual! Question: do you have a workflow for MXF files in PP. Sluggish for me. Thanks. AC
besides using proxies or transcoding, I do not.
Gang Source and Program button is not showing in the button Editor, is it version dependent? I have version 13
Adobe got rid of this button in recent updates I think
Great video, you've gotta do another rap though. That was fantastic.
What a refresher even though you're using it on a daily.
the best
Genius
thanks bro
omg, I'll try the multicamera button...
The you pro🇲🇦❤
