Hey Javier thanks for all the great material you publish for us. I was hoping you have one more tip. Is there a tip on how to rejoin a video clip after you just cut it and decided you want to put it back together? I know you can undo it if you haven't gone too far down the road. But if that's not an option is there a way to rejoin? Like in Photoshop you can merge layers, is there a way to merge clips back into one piece in Premier? Thank you!
Ripple Edit. Javier! Im coming from VEGAS. Please do a tutorial how to have a similar Fade Out Offset by dragging at the end or beginning of the clip and how to handle clips that are out of sync (where is the timecode on that)
Javier You're the best Premiere teacher i've ever seen on youtube, really appreciate your work man. Thank you so much for this kind of content! love your work man. keep it up.
I get so much more value out of your channel than much larger channels that center around clickbait reviews and talking head time. Thank you for all you do.
Absolutely love your channel! As a junior editor the information you provide is invaluable. I especially love catching these while working on a project and getting that "a ha" moment. Please keep the content coming.
HI I hav Zoom F4 multiTrack Field Recorder . I Like to know how to treat each Audio track as individual track in timeline for example Track 1 A1 Track 2 A2 Track 3 A3 Track Track 4 A4. SO can you create a Video on how to set this Recorder from Zooom to configure the timeline in Premiere Pro CC 2019
@@JavierMercedes thank you Sir for all your teachings, I am now a much better editor than what i used to be because of you and your videos :) God bless you and your family.
I knew most of these tips, but I still find this video helpful because it lets me know that I'm maximizing my use of Premiere Pro! Quick note for new editors: try to use your keyboard as much as possible! Keyboard shortcuts will make the world of difference.
for the first time of watching tutorial in youtube,I have to say ' I really enjoyed wathcing your tutorial' and for a long time i was watching to end of video,,,..thanks man...Now I am your new subscriber .... Good for me,,,!!
I love the ~ maximization feature. Quick clarification for anyone unfamiliar, just ~ will maximize whatever panel your mouse is over, Shift + ~ will maximize whichever panel has focus (look for the blue border).
That is what we all needed. Just a SIMPLE basics that will save our time. I'm new to moviemaking but i decided my UA-cam material will exist as a good video or just doesnt exists. And i've been working on my 10minute video for 6 hours. Would be 3-4 if i would know that basic little tips you showed. Such a good video, thank you!!!
Javier, man this is the type of tutorial that SO many people need for Premier Pro. I use Premier ALL the time and I learned a couple things from this vid that's a game changer. PLUS, would love to have you on my podcast...jut throwing it out there.
God!!! Javier I'd been going mad because of the out of space error in adobe.. tried many things didn't work... but today you made my life so so much easier... Many many thanks to you. One more thing I've been getting glitches as soon as I export my videos and because of that I need to export my videos again n again. Please update on that as well.. Thank you 🙏
Love your tips as i get back to premiere pro....Especially the tip to use my laptop as full screen playback....Was going well for days, now I cannot get it to do it again. Went to Preferences/Playback and checked the monitor buttons, but it won't show up on my laptop screen. Any thoughts if i did something wrong? Thanks again
This video is SO amazing!! Thank you so much! Quick question though - it looks like the subscribe animation you use for the green screen tutorial already has a transparent background (since the matte color shows thru when you insert it) - so how would you remove the background to export an animation with transparency (which is so awesome to know). Or if I am missing something, please let me know! 🙏 Thank you again!!
The transparent clip tip is very cool. Was wondering how to do that a few weeks ago. In my case, I was creating some "green" screen animation in Powerpoint and wished I could save the PowerPoint movie output with a transparent background...now I can in Premier.
I need a lesson on how to edit multiple clips from different cameras shot on the same day, but were not synced. How do i get them into chronological order to edit them? THANKS!
Could you expand on this? It sounds like you're aiming for multicam editing but I'm not sure. (Also, looks like you're a fellow disc golf content creator?? That's insane!)
Check out some Javier's other videos about audio and also Alex Knickerbocker's channel about getting great recordings. Also, learn about proper recording (gain structure) and basic effects for mixing (EQ and compression).
2nd tip is Great (Tony the tiger voice) I’ve been editing on a laptop - ugh- now I can hook it up to my monitor - big help- keep the videos coming - very helpful
Another option to Select clip at playhead is check "Selection Follows Playhead" in Sequence Menu. So the selection is made automatically without having to press D. Thank you!
Really didn't know that you could shift clips to different tracks using arrow keys, or use a monitor as a dedicated program monitor, and it has been 2-3 years since I've been working on Premiere. :O
Do you have a video like taking animated background from stork blocks and adding it yo your video on the timeline? Like the other day I took a little animated baby dancing 🕺 and try to make it look like it was in the video with my niece but couldn’t blend it in at all 🤦
THX... These are so helpful.. A long time editor myself, but through the years and different software I just forget some of the excellent short-keys or different ways to work/edit. These videos remind me of the awesome stuff that premiere can offer if you know them.. Sad that the 'create new item button' doesn't have a default shortcut that I know of, something like CTRL space, that would be nice. Even better if it didn't ask the resolution everytime but to go straight to the colour picker and give resolution and stuff if pressed Option new Item.. some edit methods were my goto back in the old days of avid, speedrazor, videomachine, matrox or even first premiere on a old mac G4. I remember coming from linear tape based editing and thinking ripple was scary and destructive as hell.... no undo back more than 1 in the days of the first NLE's.
Hope these help on your next edit! What are some of your favorite simple tips for Premiere?
The trimming tip of ctrl +k and w Why q.
I think its ripple delete.
"Q", "W" & "Ctrl + K". These keys are real game-changers. I added to my knowledge base - the "Alt + Click". It's going to be very useful.

Alt drag

"Q" and "W" are such a gamechanger trust me
All of your videos are gold! I have been watching a few a day since I found you. Thanks for all the tips!
Javier You're the best Premiere teacher i've ever seen on youtube, really appreciate your work man. Thank you so much for this kind of content! love your work man. keep it up.

Option + arrow key to move clips .... OMG! Why didn't I know this??????? What a time-saver! You're the man JM!
Q & W changed my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG you da best dude!
@1:37 - In Windows 10, media cache is in Edit -> Preferences -> Media Cache. No need to close Projects.
A like and a comment for the algorithm and the fantastic content!!!

There are so many channel audio effects. What ones should I actually be using and when?
Check out some Javier's other videos about audio and also Alex Knickerbocker's channel about getting great recordings. Also, learn about proper recording (gain structure) and basic effects for mixing (EQ and compression).
Really good!

Yeah, I actually use like this.
Man, the "d" tip is a blast. I won't ever be the same again. 🙏
Thank you so much Javier. I would like to know how you can duct the music track against the voiceovers. Can you please do a video on that?
Very good and unique tips by far!!👌
Really didn't know that you could shift clips to different tracks using arrow keys, or use a monitor as a dedicated program monitor, and it has been 2-3 years since I've been working on Premiere. :O

CRAZY GOOD AND USEFUL - MANY THANKS!!
Probably one of the best tips videos I’ve seen. Giving me lots of ideas to speed up my workflow. Great job.
Sweet, thanks. There were a couple I didn’t know and I’ve been editing for 18 years.
Glad I could help Robbie
I’ve always been a bit lazy with the shortcuts. I do see the irony. Lol. Keep up the great videos Javier. It’s been a fresh take in this niche.
Do you have a video like taking animated background from stork blocks and adding it yo your video on the timeline? Like the other day I took a little animated baby dancing 🕺 and try to make it look like it was in the video with my niece but couldn’t blend it in at all 🤦
Your videos have already helped me SO much, thank you 🙏🏻
