This video is gold. I've been trying for months to find a great example of a CI simulation from someone who has normal or near-normal hearing in the contralateral ear. All of the simulations that I've heard use a vocoder which CI recipients report as being inaccurate.
Thank you for taking the time and effort to make this effort. It has been extremely helpful.

How does music sound with cochlear implant and your good ear together do they seem to mesh and not as robotic, are you able to listen to live music well?

When I listen to music on both sides (my cochlear implant and my good ear), it’s great. I don't hear that sound from my cochlear implant is different from that from my ear. The brain interprets it very well. I was even doing some tests, like listening to music and turning off my audio processor, and I can tell you that I don't want to hear the music without an audio processor :)
After the surgery, I returned to the music world and didn't regret anything.

So sad that voices in 2024 sounds so crude and muffled. But impressed by the music instrument sounds.
