Wanted one of these for awhile Really wanna try an israeli style heavy furniture conversion onto these sa58 Haven’t seen one for sale in person Like doing cash sales
Nice carbines, thank you for posting! I've never owned an FAL before but always wanted one to accompany my G3. With 20 years of making the FAL, DSA must have incredible quality control and fast turnaround times. I'm very interested in the New & Improved 18" Battle Rifle, unfortunately I CAN NOT FIND ANY INFORMATION ON IT. Here is my my question to everyone, for $2,000 can DSA justify the cost increase and value? (i.e.) how much of a difference in the accuracy and reliability? From an aesthetics view, I think the gun looks great, but over 2 grand great?
It dosent really matter if the receiver is cast, not unless you're shooting full auto 40k plus rounds.I have a dsa fal sa58 traditional 18 in barrel chrome lined and a cast receiver .It has about 2k rounds and i never had a problem, most people that have problems with Dsa fal rifles is because they use cheap polymer magazines that's the reason i use surplus magazines.also some people have reliability issues because they dont know how to properly set the gas setting .
I've been wanting to pick up a NATO caliber battle rifle and can't decide between something like this or a G3/HK91 clone like the PTR 100. Anyone got any recommendations and why?
I have a ptr 91 GI It’s a great gun never fails Very heavy but a great feel to it I would recommend it The sa58 is also great from what I’ve heard but no personal experience
Slippery When wet thanks. weight wise they are about the same. Both seem to be great guns. It almost comes down to aesthetics lol and I guess price. the PTR is quite a bit cheaper.
@@gnr4954 I decided to go with the SA58 myself. Plenty of quality of life features like the magazine release being easy to get to and the last shot bolt hold open

Would love a NY compliant version. Non-threaded barrel and spur grip would be dope.
You have no rights in NY. Perhaps you should consider moving to Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, too many snowflakes around you.
Yeah, this is the one I got
if i wanted to swap out wood furniture on one, what would fit, plug and play?

They don't mention it here but to add to your point it is also a cast receiver.

Diabedes G3 mags are dirt cheap so there’s that to consider
FAL is a much better rifle imo
