Nice video.. one thing that might be worth mentioning is that most zmk default configs don't have the sleep functionality enabled by default.. took me a while to figure that out..
where is the seting i cant find it
@@japanese_mango CONFIG_ZMK_SLEEP=y
Great video! Thanks for making this. Hope it helps others getting started with wireless builds.
Thanks! Love your products!
Thanks for this! I am new to custom keyboards, and was not confident enough to do this untill I found this.
Thanks a lot! I barely built a wired one, and was not feeling ultra confident, but I'll give it a try now
This video is amazing; thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you so much this video, typing to you on my freshly built corne! Extremely helpful guide :)
This was extremely informative. Thank you for putting it together. I am excited about ZMK and the nice!nano, but I do need mouse functionality too. So I'll have to see if and when they implement that (my understanding is that work is in progress).
Thank you for making this video! Keep it up mate.
Thank you for making this video!!
thank you so much posting it. it inspired me build one for myself.👍😊
Great Video!! Now I am confident to build my own set of wireless Corne
Stellar timing, and great info! I'm in the middle of building a corne wireless with nice!nano's.
Good luck with your build!
great tutorial !! thanks for share bro!
Awsome video, very informative
Great video. Thank you
Nice video, thanks
cheers that was very useful
Thank you for this
Well done.
I’ve found a project for Christmas break! Thanks!
Good luck!
Thanks! Way easier with a video than working through the manual
Glad to help!
Saving my life
I may never build my keyboard but I'm saving this for when I do. Thank you !!!
Amen to that. Lol.
@@PolyMathWannaBe62 you know what's cool? I actually built my keyboard! It took me over a month but I did it. Super proud of myself. Hope you get to yours one day too
Great timing. Im up looking for how to build a wireless corne. 👍🏽
Good luck with your build!
I approve.
Great video I want to build one so I am starting to research. My question it is if I can use this controller plug with wire to the PC without using a battery?
Thank you for the video. I question why is hard to find that kind of batteries in the US!! They always take time to delivered.
Thanks for this. I feel like this is my end game in terms of keyboards, especially for travel
I'm just starting my journey from qwerty -> ortho colemak 4x12 -> 30% split ortho column stagger.. A lot of what I'm seeing is wired, I do not want wires...
Just in case anyone else has this problem.... build was waiting on the host for too long. So I cancelled the workflow and restarted it. Now it's building!
Hey very nice tutorial, i wanna ask some questions. Can we use nicenano to support 2 modes like wireless and wired (not the same time)
Can you make another video explaining how to add a screen and why all can be shown on it.
Thanks for the tutorial-- much appreciated! @juyr Could you kindly explain how one might add support for OLED and underglow if that was desired? (that's the only thing that has me confused as I finish up my corne lp w/ nice!nano v2 build)
If you go into the github repository, in the config folder, there is a config file. Just go uncomment the lines and rebuild the firmware to enable oled and rgb underglow. I'd also recommend a much larger battery if you want those features because they drain a ton of power

Excellent video, you don't know how much I appreciate that you have done it. Do you know how I can make the left side the master side and the right side the slave side?
Not sure actually. Maybe you could try flashing the left side firmware to the right side and vice versa, but the keymaps and layout would get messed up.
He actually said in the video that the left side IS the master side. This makes sense because if you're just gaming, likely all you need is the left side.
when you were in the powershell. it showed keymaps for about 14 will known keyboard kits. are maps for most kits available like this e.g. something like a mysterium tkl kit? or do you hav map this yourself?
what case do you have for that? and would they fit low profile kailh switches ?
Nice job ther no info on how to get the corne working
how do you turn them on and off when you arent using them?
What if I use Chocofi pcb with nice!nanos? Which keyboard should I select in zmk setup?
How can i make my own layout with more keys etc.?
perfect, I'm just looking into making a corne wireless build. Can I ask a random question? I wanted to go for kailh LP choc switches just because I like the look and minimal feel, but I understand that the spacings between the keys on normal corne pcbs are for MX keys? Is that right? Do I need to find a PCB with choc spacings? Bit of a noob in DIY mech kb's so thanks!
There's two different pcbs for cornes: Choc and MX. If you want to make a choc corne, you will need a choc corne pcb.
@@juyr4558 perfect thanks so much for the help. subbed (Y)
as far as charging goes can you use the cross over cable to charge them at the same time?
Charging both halves at the same time isn't a problem.
i have a ferris sweep v2.2 with nice nano version 1. i dont see a way to set that up with zmk. anybody able to help me?
Hello everyone, greetings, I wanted to ask if there is any solution for my problem, I have a couple of nice nano that do not connect to each other, I do everything correctly and I have not been able to connect them together ... any help.
Thanks
I am stuck with conecting got with ssh 😭
You could make creepypastas, nice voice dog
Are there any downsides to wireless over wired setups (besides having to charge)?
Latency might be a bit worse, but it's so little that I find it unnoticeable. Sometimes the two halves do unpair from each other due to distance or something, but very rarely and re-pairing only takes about 10 seconds.
Other than that, I think wireless builds are great and I can't see myself going back to wired builds
Does ZMK/Nice!nano support multipoint connectivity?
It does, by default you can pair with up to 5 different devices.
Thanks for this. I've wanted to make a wireless split board, but I've never made one, or any keyboard, so this is a very helpful primer.
I just have a few questions about the battery.
1. Are there bigger batteries that can fit on this board in the spot that you put yours or is this size pretty much it? Like, are there batteries retain that the same dimensions but go taller to fit more juice? or even if they went taller would the controller then not be able to fit over it correctly? A week is a decent charge time, but I was curious how much the charge time could be pushed.
2. where can I get the battery you use? =D
You can use another battery, but that's the only size that'll fit underneath the microcontroller. I use 2500 mAh batteries in mine, but I use a 3d printed case to hide the battery.

@@juyr4558 How long does that battery last for you? Also, thanks for the link and info.
@@DaneMurdock I built my keyboard back in August and I haven't needed to charge it yet.

Have you installed git on your device?
@@juyr4558 lmao tysm.
Thanks for the video. Just one question. My powershell quits when I paste the User Config Setup Script in it. Any ideas?
Not sure. I could build the firmware for you and you could fork it from github to edit it if you'd like
@@juyr4558 That would be much appreciated! How much do you charge for that?
@@rhdenh775 No fee. Just let me know what microcontroller and board you're using and I can create the repository you can fork.

You can fork this repository for the kyria with nice!nano v2
I’ve reviewed both the ZMK and n!n documentation and can’t find the answer I’m looking for: can you use the keyboard while they’re charging? Will I risk blowing up the battery if it stays plugged in while using it after it’s fully charged?
No
@@juyr4558 Gotcha, thanks for the reply!
Где находится wifi антенна?
hello, I am having trouble connecting my right half to my left half keyboard. I am using nice!nano v1s. I have tried pressing the reset buttons at the same time and reflashing the firmware halves but the issue of the right half not connecting still persists. Do you have any ideas in which I should try next?
There are split opinions about whether or not an on/off switch is necessary. Is it needed or is it easy enough to wake a keyboard from sleep mode?
Also does any1 have issues connecting to macbooks?
Could you link Me the battery?
