@Victor Nguyen I am kinda like Radio I have a few disabilities 1 Autism Disorder 2 Minor Intellectual Disability 3 Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder 4 Anxiety But I can live with it having a disability does have its ups but I function high. Have you ever seen The Road Within ? Its about a guy who had Tourette Syndrome and he acted like he had it which was also amazing.
RIP Radio and thanks Coach Jones for looking over his disability and treating him like a human being...you as well coach Hunnicolt. Growing up around Radio and getting to know how he loved everyone regardless of race and how he made us all laugh was amazing. You'll be deeply missed Radio RIP🙏🙏
I. ❤ this movie people with disabilities have a hard time in life @ they sure as hell do not need other people making fun of them or saying rude remarks .if i hear anybody doing this i will step in @ put them in there place real dam quick.
No matter how many times I watch this movie, it's always like the first time. Tugs on my heart strings everytime. Fantastic movie, acting, message, everything. Its definitely in my top 5
I remember watching this and feeling sad and really enjoyed it. I do think back to that tropic thunder quote “never go full retard”. Very true if you want your way with the critics.
Movie is 18 years old and still one of my favorites. I am born, raised and still live in SC but never had the honor of meeting Mr. James Kennedy but my high school always played Hanna when I was a student at Hillcrest and I always saw Radio on the Hanna sideline. He is truly dearly and deeply missed in the upstate and continues to inspire us all here.
I remember watching this movie in 6th grade my teacher put it on when we were done with all those test while everyone was on their phones I was glued to this movie one of the best movies I have ever seen
I saw this movie with my aunt and uncle when it came out. They ended up having a child with non-verbal autism. His name is James and he’s about 10 years old now. It’s tough on them.
my friend said "im glad hes dead" and i said wtf? why bro? and he said "thank god hes not here in this messed up world anymore" and i said oohhh. right. gotcha.
Yeah I know what he means he's free from this cold ass world we live in that's what I think death is in my opinion is freedom once you've become your greatest version in life and enjoyed your time
This was such a great film to watch, and both Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Ed Harris played off each other well. They both should've gotten Oscar nominations for their roles.
this movie was messed up because everyone treated radio like crap and I cried at it coach Jones was the only family radio had left and his brother when I got to the part when coach Jones and his daughter was at coach Jones truck with all of radio's presents
I know this is a movie but i feel bad for him. I feel bad for people with disabilities. There no different then us. I make fun of them sometimes and i feel bad for doing that.
Supreme Perkx All due respect, you should feel bad for the misdeed. Also, all due respect, all of us might eventually wind up disabled. Just saying, respectfully. And by the way, you are right in saying that disabled people are the same as us. They can do the same things as you and I, only differently.
Especially when people with disabilities like try to make jokes about you to like make fun of you for some reason and you're like awe... I don't understand your dumb dumb brain but you thought you were playing along that's so cute!!! Your insults are like so cute for a little disabled patient
"Radio" is a deeply emotional movie that resonates with viewers, and Cuba Gooding Jr. deserves major kudos for his masterful performance, which truly elevates the film.
I would only rate this movie excellent because of how well Cuba masterfully played the role of Radio! This is movie will forever be a Masterpiece because of his acting in this! Freaking Edit Man: All it takes is people being decent to people. @The Entire World, Is that so hard?!
Any time I even see the smallest scene from this movie, it makes me be the biggest baby ever. Such a great job by the producers. But so sad to know that this was an actual persons reality.
This bloody scene. There are some really emotive scenes in this film. Some happy moments, some sad ones too… but this scene. This is the exact moment that James made a friend. That’s why I love it. Having had *some* similar experiences in my own youth, I can say that this moment is the best of the entire film. In this precise moment, he trusts Coach and Coach’s friend, and in return gets a radio and a hamburger. The simplest of interactions to represent a new friendship, and it hits like a motherfucker. I consider it an enormous shame that I never had the chance to meet Mr. Kennedy. Goddamn.
Hard to watch this sometime cause he does so good at facial expression that it reminds me of my nephew who passed away and loved listening to music with me
These are the best people in our society. They are innocent in the way they think and act and honestly treat everyone the way they are supposed to be treated. Shame on people that don’t care for them because they would care about anything happening to you in a heartbeat.
Don't romanticize people with disabilities please. I'm not better than someone who doesn't have disabilities and I don't want to be coddled over it. I'm just a person, just like anyone else with any severity of any kind of disabilities. Your positivity is lovely and I understand why you would view people with certain disabilities this way but please don't. Look up "inspiration porn" for a TED Talk by a woman in a wheelchair. She puts it perfectly
Nothing wrong with a good country station 😂 long live radio with his favorite coach now man I wish I knew the country song that plays right after this seen….
The beautiful thing about illnesses and disorders is that they feel too much their emotions are too much for they are in tune with God himself so therefore they're in tune with humanity they might not be able to keep up or they're too far advanced or sometimes they're too far behind but their love is insane the perfect for the eyes of the Lord they're the best of his perfection because they don't see the colors of the world they see in black and white and they actually look at it in the gray hairs the details of life with shine so bright and they paint their most beautiful image and that's love I know I faced PTSD bipolar dyslexia facial prices sleep apnea laugh attacks and so much more in etc etc and God forever blessed me God Jesus forever saves me one must have faith one must love themselves and the world cannot hide from the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ for God almighty forever protection and loves ithem
Cuba Gooding played Radio like a freaking genius man. Excellent acting.
He bought a short yellow bus after he got paid from this movie

OMG I didn't knew he passed dang RIP mr radio 😔💔
I appreciate Cuba playing the part with some dignity. Like, showing Radio, the person. Not just the "disability".
Not enough ppl talk about that. This role & movie as a whole would be so hard to pull off right. & everybody just nailed it
Want something to wash it down with too? Root beer or Coke?
Radio: Coke!
i love that part!

Want heroin or coke?
Coke!
the man knows what he wants !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Literally the same😂
and it’s based on a true story too, i go to tl hanna and he was such a big impact on our community.
Cuba Gooding Jr and Ed Harris both turned in some outstanding performances in this film. Their chemistry together was amazing.

Well it's teaches how society can be a dick to the mentally needed.
This movie is sad but the characters and story are real
Best part was Radio giving out presents to the neighbourhood but then gets locked up
If I ever met radio I would treat him as a brother
