Now I have an issue with opening and closing the damper. The handle is tight, and I can close it, but sometimes I need to reach in and push the damper open. so it's something internal. Is there a video on how to get in there and tighten things up?
I've had an Intrepid II for over 30 years and it's been a good stove but just recently, the damper for the catalytic converter started slipping so I'll have to tear into it to see what's going on. Last year, I replaced the catalyst with a metal one instead of the old ceramic design as well as door and griddle gaskets. I hope that it will be easy to fix because it really heats my bedroom on cold Winter nights.

sounds like the damper ramp may need to be adjusted.
