Gives it such an elevated look- literally and figuratively ❤😊 it’ll be fun to watch you plant up the surrounding area. Gro-Low Fragrant Sumac might be a good contender to hold your soil on the sloped sides. Their fall color is 🤩
As you spoke about having red soil in your area, I remembered how I hated that same type of soil that you can find in Louisiana. It really does stain everything. When I was young I couldn't understand why no one had carpet in their homes. As in Colorado everyone had carpet. Now! That I'm full grown and a gardener I understand without question why people in Louisiana didn't/don't have carpet in their homes. Blessing to you and yours always.

Bless y'all for working through the heat and humidity. Its been a long hot summer for us here in zone 7/7a and has left us in a drought. Thank you for bringing us along on the construction of the new Terrace Garden, I'm learning a lot. It will be beautiful. Can't wait to see what plantings you use in and around the raised planter boxes. Jenny no need to apologize for the sweat! I don't glisten, most of the time it just drips and runs!

WOW, that wall is GORGEOUS!! I can see how level and well built it is, it definitely comes through on camera. Why does it seem like when we start projects the humidity says “oh it’s time to go there!”
I live in Ohio and this humidity starts in May and I am OVER IT, I tell ya!! 😂 I know you guys are roasting.. Fall is on its way… You all did a fine job!! Can’t wait to see it all done!! ❤
I was thinking you would do the rock all the way up on the backside of the wall so the red mud wouldn't leak through to the front through the cracks, it can be sneaky like that.

I think it's funny that you have to explain to people that the red clay really is that red. But I guess if you're not used seeing red clay it is a little jarring.
😂 how do you keep all that red clay off Brenna and coming into your home? She just goes and plops right down in it, without a care in the world 😅 That stuff is so hard to get out of stuff.
