I really love these trend videos from you Emily! 💕 I'm not someone who intentionally follows trends too much, but I'm also always looking to add some variation into my knitted wardrobe. I'm not a very imaginative person, and without external inspiration I'd probably only ever knit cream coloured stockinette or cable jumpers 😂 Thanks for providing inspiration in such a fun way!
Knitting the Blouse No 1 with two strands of mohair now! I was inspired by all red mohair cardigan I saw in a shop last month and I’m knitting a second one! ☺️ I think see-through look is also a trend this season in the fashion world and i hope to finish it soon!
I just finished a cardigan and used wooden toggle buttons. It gives it a much more rustic kinda vibe. 10/10 can recommend. Thank you for the great video!
Emily, thank you so much for mentioning my pattern! I have been a little behind on podcast, but wow, you made my day when you mentioned my Kat no. 3 pattern!
My friend Belinda from Featherfin Yarns mentioned you today in our little knitting group and so I saw your channel for the first time.❤ love it! I think about knitting a Polo Sweater.❤
I love all shades of yellow, butter yellow is actually a bit tame for me. Funnily enough, this year seems to be my turn with the "sunny lime obsession" so I've been thinking about you a lot lately 😁 Also with the fluff - I recently finished a lemon yellow fluffy "Moyen Age" Sweater which for me is the embodiment of spring.
I received a lands end smart style catalog and on page 20, called Drifter Crew sweater, is a sleeveless Slipover in white cotton with navy strips and a split hem. I am obsessed. I will do this using the Friday Slipover pattern.
Yours is the second episode I've seen to mention yellow. I wish I could wear it, but I don't think it suits me...perhaps it the grey hair? I'm going on an outing with a friend today to Little Red Mitten. Perhaps I'll take some photos of me with some yellow yarns, so I can re-evaluate 😊
@highfiberknits lots of fun at the yarn shop, and a couple of purchases, but no yellow. Just on the way home from Hamilton now...we stopped at a thrift shop and it's the first time I've found sweaters quantities of yarn that were of interest...I'll tag you on Instagram later 😊
Love your channel Emily! This was such a fun video to watch, and I viewed it while sitting knitting up a cowl for my mom, while my baby sleeps! I like trends because they feel fun to follow and help keep things fresh, but I also usually just follow my own preferences and intuition. One “trend” that I’m keen to knit up is a wrap style top. There are quite a few on Ravelry- the ballerina wrap top, being the one I’m eyeing up. My style is very “romantic” and feminine- think prairie girl dresses, Victorian almost. I love vintage feels and vibes. I live in the woods outside of Perth, Ontario. So I’m definitely a “rustic” girly! Are you by chance going to the Peterborough Fibre fest this weekend? All the best and love love love your stuff! :)
Sounds like a lovely afternoon! Unfortunately, I won’t be making it out to Peterborough this weekend, but I am hoping to learn about more local festivals!
I love the lighter shades of yellow. I noticed several butter yellow sweaters floating around the web lately too
Yes to the side open slipovers for spring! This is a go-to option for waffling weather. Love your selection!!!
Yes! Were you working on your Amy slipcover when we first met?! I think this is the year I’ll finally dive in to make a slipover for myself ☺️
@@highfiberknits Yes, I was! You're so good. Dive in deep!!!
Oh I loooove the Henley neckline! 🤍 and the yellow even though I can't see myself knitting anything with it 🌻 love your videos!
Thank you! 😊 that seems to be a common thing for the yellow!
I love the side fastened slipovers ! Thanks for highlighting some great patterns.
And I’m here for the butter yellow color.💛

I'm fully into the butter yellow trend. I've seen people pairing it with a soft blue color and bright reds and I think it just looks gorgeous!!
Ohhhh yes the yellow and blue is a lovely combo!!

There isn't one of these trends that fits into my style lol. I guess I'll keep doing my own thing.
literally working on a butter yellow Tolsta Tee while watching this 😅💖 (also i think you forgot to turn on ending cards for this one 🥺)
That’s perfect!! (And thank you for the note! Luckily, I could go back in to add them)
the cloud blouse is gonna be my next cast on!
Fun! What color are you planning!?
@@highfiberknits Malabrigo lace in Applewood held with KFO mohair in Mushroom Rose. a nice pinky beige combo i’m hoping!
Yellow of any iteration is not a colour I can wear, but I do love it!
Lots of other ways to bring yellow into your life!
At first I thought you said the Nora Gaughan concert, lol.
That moment when you realize you knit all the trends. 😮
