finally someone does a real review of the alpha. so many videos out they say alpha 1 review and all it is a clip of them riding from the perspective of a helmet cam that does not show what the terrain is really like nor do they talk about their likes/dislikes on it. this is really well done. thanks for your time to do this.
Yeah, we want to talk about the things we like and the other things too. We want to do a complete review after the season is up and get a lot more hours on it.
For some reason, I trust your opinions are honest. Even though, you two love the 'ditch pickles'. Can't say the same for old 'Rocky Mountain Oyster' Rob Kincaid. Cat's payin him to say it.
We are only a few days into it. We plan on doing a full review at the end of the season after we put it through all the paces and reveal anything we dont like.
Great review. That foot box, though. Japanese snow must be different, because over here it likes to build up and block. No biggie. Love the way it rides.
Is it worth it to buy a 51mm or 57mm track for my 141 crossfire 8 instead of the 38mm crossover track? Im trying to get into boondocking and getting the skis up higher and i feel like the 38mm track isnt doing the job for me. A new 51mm track costs about 1000 USD or 12.000 swedish crowns
If your track is in good shape you can sell it to help offset the upgrade......if your trsck is too messed up to sell you need a new track anyways..... check bulkhead clearances I always run the tallest lug i can. More traction and braking.....from Wyoming USA
@@syxxes alright, ya didn't think it was very stiff? I never tried mine at factory settings, but I could tell it was very hard to pull on it's side off the floor.
Good honest real world review! Great job. I don't like the flex on the plastic cover as you push that tether on tho. Minor gripe. But still, nice sled! I want one. But won't get one because I don't have mountains to ride (or the skill to do it :)). I'll stick to my XF for now.
Love watching your guys videos. Throwing support from fort mac. Actually enjoy the bullshit sessions in the trailer the most, reminds me of work. Keep up the good work boys.
My only question is how is the track going to hold up with the on and off trail condition. Have to take trails to get where you’re going. And how’s the track going to hold up. Those tracks will not be cheap to replace I am sure. And yes I am a cat guy too.
Live in Sweden and have a daughter 7 months old, I know I will be on the trails with our dogs and the kid much of the time, but I still wan't an Alpha! Damn, have to buy a used old trailsled to.. Good review.
Defutus Glad to hear you got a sled and thanks for watching! It's not a cheap hobby and once you get out riding there's no going back 👍🏻 Sleds should have a "caution this product is highly addictive" sticker on them....
@@ben_syxxes8179 i think my 5 year old son is more exites, now i have to buy sled for him too :D i love ur videos coz its not all about sledding, its also doing things with ur friends and having fun, and also the repair tips is awesome! I have to admit that im a little bit a traitor coz i bought skidoo 600 xrs iron dog, but greets from finland, and have fun
My enticer ant bad to side hill with. I fukn get body roll from sending it. Yup dandy machine by. All the same alpha is ok 😏. You wouldent side hill my trenches. Like to have few ah dem stickers to hold my bonnet together a bit better wa. Take care son
By far one of the best honest reviews I’ve watched about the Alpha👍👍 great work guys

@@syxxes I saw an Alpha with a broken rail a couple weeks back. The guy said he hit a rock. He must have landed on it was my guess.
what is your first mod going to be? riser or pipe?
Probably gonna do both at the same time.
Little gas can, backpack, goggles and dirtbike helmet... 4 foot rider and remove the seat cause you never use it. Maybe a Monster sticker?
Great review. That foot box, though. Japanese snow must be different, because over here it likes to build up and block. No biggie. Love the way it rides.
Akatarawa Japan would a heat foot pad work if rigged up?
I'm thinking a windmill, laser-guided solar deployment and refractive boot declination monitors will solve it.
You guys would be able to convince me to buy this sled better than any salesman would be able to
Thanks for watching, bud!
The background music fit amazingly well
Thanks for watching!
good review. Your the first person who has actually adressed that it will have more wash out compared to the 2 rail skid.
Being honest how I feel about it
Great honest review guys and great video. I always look forward to a syxxes uploaded video in the inbox.
The best review I’ve ever watched awesome job and good tunes 👨🤘🤘
Great review of your seat time.... love that machine. Looks like too much fun. Have played with the rear skid shock calibration yet??
So this isn’t the sled my Grandpa should buy to pull his fish house on the lake? Weird, never would’ve guessed!
Not without studs for safety of course! ;)
Hike 2 your grandpa never catches fuk all anyway. Other than a headache
Like 1% of snowmobilers do this kind of mountain riding but 100% of them watch it. Woooooo.
Ah dude been looking for a trail review on these for couple days caught between this and the riot

Nice covering the question about washing out in detail
Great vid, just wondering what shock pressures you are running on all 4 shocks?
Factory settings on all four
@@syxxes alright, ya didn't think it was very stiff? I never tried mine at factory settings, but I could tell it was very hard to pull on it's side off the floor.
I'll probably run them at higher pressure. I don't like soft suspension. Feels pretty good as is though
Great Video and GREAT EDITING! I can tell you put alot more effort into this one and it shows!
Try to make one worth watching every now and then lol
This is the video that I made me sub
That is one of the best reviews I have heard every video your getting more professional at next step will be an actual tv show keep up the good work
Best Alpha Review Yet!!!! You guys Rock!!! Keep up the Great Content and you will be 10k subs in no time....
Ps Keep Sean Off the Vlog!!!!
Hey bro! Shaun's the homie and a great rider.
conan6329 your not for team shaunie eh?
I like Shaun it makes my day to see you rip on his Polaris,,, Just giving him crap because he has to work.....He’s part of Team Syxxes!!

Probably a good idea if you dont spend no time in the mountains :D

Powerclaw tracks hold up extremely well. One of the best tracks out there, lugs don't bend over and flex over time like some others.
Yeah it actually handles the trail really well.
love the review looks like I'm getting one
Do you think this would be good for Minnesota powerlines
I don't know. I've never been to Minnesota. :D
I remember when the alpha came out and our dealer first had them in stock I was drooling over them. And the price was 14500 brand new 😅
damn this sled looks fun, but I have an brp 850 atm so maby ill miss a little bit of power?
Alpha has 160 hp, the 850’s have 165
Is it scary on trails getting to the good snow?@syxxes
The first day was. After that, it was great!
We love watching ur guys vids keep em comin.
So, xf800 snow pro HC for spare sled, and alpha mountain main sled
The industry will tell you if this going to be the new mountain sled norm once the other manufacturers make or don't make them . Looks pretty cool tho
I have a m8000 proclimb and im in love 🤩🤩🤩
Great video boys sled looks sick

Good review.
You can certainly take it on the trails, but it's not gonna handle like a trail-sled!
Boys the editing in this video is top notch! We gotta ride together soon.
Yeah man! WTF?! We was out again this weekend!
Sweet video! as a Cat fan its sweet to see them finally up the game and get some redemption.
Its a lot of fun 👍
Compare it to the Polaris RMK...which is still better...
What a machine❤️
great review love shots
Thanks!
Were is the phazer?
Just bought one !
It's a good review, and your honest. And everything your missing is in a Polaris!
We are gonna do a season review on it at the end of the year. Maybe find a few more things we do or don't like.
Honestly narrow the skis and the wash out problem on the tail will be drasticly less
Epic footage boys
Thanks bud👍
i have no issues what so ever on the trail with mine!!
Takes a little getting used to, but after that it's fine.
cool ending
Good review boys
Damn u guys, coz of u i just bought a sled, short one touhg couse we only have half meter snow here, but still, now i have to work my ass off

When are they coming out in different colours. I hate Purple and green is my least favourite.
Buy some decals? Or you could just wrap it.
I love ur vids but you guys should upload more
We all got full time jobs bud!
That little slide
Its 1/2 as tippy as my Gemini mod... 1/2 the power too.
I want one.....too bad it’s all flatland around here!
Damn yall sound like ur from Berta ..
Cause they are?
Haha! Yes sir born and raised in Alberta👍🏻
Noice boggan
