I just got to 99 and two things I'd note: - for the non-sweaty just hold inventory spaces for 26 free slots and never worry about the sack. - on upper level mine the same veins as others are, there the vein is based on time and not swings
And for your second point, the timers on the ores don't start until someone starts mining them so if you can find an empty line of 5-6 veins you can have a nice clean path to keep following
whenever there is something new i wanna try, your guides are what i look for first. your guides are like what slayermusiq quest guides are. i have done pretty much everything up to vorkath with your guides. thanks!
One thing to add. If you are going for 99 mining and are close to completing Fally Elite Diary then it's best to do it before 99. Fally Elite increases your profits and xp/h slightly.
Personally is just gather 26 paydirt everytime with gem bag + hammer in my inventory. you don't get the absolute maximum amount of paydirt in the sack, but you get really close and you don't have to keep track of how many you put in the hopper every time and all that sweaty stuff. just fill your bag and deposit :D
@@TomDonnan if you buy the large sack you can just wait for some1 else to fix the wheel hahaha and unlocking upper mine would be first for me just cuz it saves so much time from mining to deposite the dirt in hopper
MLM is only really afk if you get to the top floor, where the mining is time based. Bottom floor is random, so you will constantly have to check if you are still mining, which actually makes it more troublesome.
you didn't cover the deference between the upper and lower level the way the ore veins work. The upper level is closer to the bank and hopper, and the ore veins mechanics are time-based and shareable with others, in contrast to the veins at the lower levels that have a 33% chance of depleting whenever a pay-dirt is mined.
And the vein timers don't start until you start mining it. Kills me when someone starts mining the one I'm gonna do next instead of jumping on same one as me
I played RS as a kid and made an OSRS account about a year ago, played a lot and go most skills up to a decent level, now I am back and I wanted to level mining and apparently this is the way to do it. It is a nice way to do it but I do not like when they overcomplicate skills like some minigames are imo, this one is not overly complex and is also good for the economy, which obviously is the reason why they introduced this method.
I swear that if I don't empty when there is 80 and dump 28 more dirt and quickly run and pick 28 up before it cleans. You get way more nuggets every bunch of ores. I usually get at least 1-4 nuggets for every 28 ores I take using this system.
Coming from someone who has a virtual level of 105 (24 million xp) from motherlode mine, Please, Once you get what you came for.. Leave and set yourself a better goal than this place. Motherlode is a great way to sustain bonds for new players; Just don't rely on it as your main source of GP. You'll struggle to make ends meet closer towards mid game.

Farming may seem daunting at first; But you'll be glad later you've knocked out a few (if not all) quests for the extra herb patches, and started your herb runs for some extra GP to fall back on. With 6 patches i get 130k per 5 minute run growing toadflax at level 65. toadflax can be grown at level 38. Go out to hosidius and do some tithe farm. It's a great way to get your farming XP up
Yup get 99 and leave if you're mid game something like brutal blacks skeletal wyverns mining runite ore is better if you want to do something afk and make decent gp MML is just good afk xp with some side cash for 99 mining
update: its better to get the upper level with ur first 100 golden nuggets: its 57mining requirement its way more afk on the veins wen mining and also the deposit(hopper) is one-five tiles away instead of accross the room
you can use the watchdog plugin and make a custom notification to tell you when you need to mine again... make a new notification and set it to pickup sound the sound u want to listen for is 2661 (sound that gets played when u finished your rock) and make sure no one is close (it will pick up their sound)... i tried adjusting it to spawn objects but the plugin seems to be buggy in the motherlode mine (almost as if the ore's keep spawning over and over again)
i feel like u should only rush prospector if you have any plans to train mining past 70 + the coal/gem bag in the forseable future. like personally i want the gem bag just for utility around the game and maybe the coal bag to help get my smithing to 70 easier for quest requirements.. outside of that I have no real reason to touch mining until i decide to max. considering it takes like.... 18 hrs to get full prospector you'd need to mine for like 700 hours before it "pays off"

Great MLM guide, not ultimate guide :x - I'm still waiting for someone to make the best mlm method known which is top floor and everyone just mines the same order= less running to the sack. (this is for those who pay attention, full afk you can go to any other of top floor) cause right now its like WC guild yews but one person per tree, its dumb and not perfect. So if you make a new guide maybe include that?:P Top floor, closest 5-6 tiles, once done, first respawns again and you can stack with as many u want.
Except im here in the game right now and it sucks for AFK mining as I quickly drain the ore vain resulting in my guy stopping mining... How is this AFK lol, it last 2 seconds...
All I can say is. Watch ur level vs how many nuggies you have. Cause I was getting close to 72. Like 68-69. When I went against my better judgement. And used the nuggies I had left. For the garbage outfit. When honestly. It's literally 1xp per mine literally not worth ittttt. So I got to 72. And wouldn't ya know. I was some nuggies short!!!! So had to stay on the lower floor for a little extra time.biiiiiig Rip

It saves time as well not having to get a new hammer each time you need to fix the waterwheel, so it might actually be better XP.

most need 60 or 70 max for quest reguirements. 72 lvl req for upper is huge obstacle for most
