I got my mining cape, As much as i hated mining.. Im gonna be raw and honest, motherlode mine is the easiest way and you have to be consistent, it took me several 9-12 hour long consistent grind days to get it and i literally have nightmares about this grind still even though it sounds crazy. Sometimes i lay down and still hear that " dink dink dink..... Dink...... Dink" sound in my head. Its a grind from hell. But i love wearing the cape and its never left my back. @@topkek996 agility you make a great amount of money and can train it faster than mining at sep, getting up to 3m gp per hour. Runecrafting now has gotr making runecrafting not only better but even fun, and once you hit 77 you get the best afk activity in the game blood runes while making a ton of money and if you have the outfits from gotr even more
Highly recommend gem rocks to anyone, they're very chill if you aren't tick manipulating, good xp, very profitable, and good for banking crafting XP. If you use the eastern loop, you'll get a full inventory of gems by the time you loop back around to the bank, so the gem bag only provides a pretty minor boost to speed, allowing you to loop around the entire mine. The diary will require training a lot of combat levels though to unlock it. Finally, you unlock them alongside a pair of gauntlets that teleport you straight to the mine, so it's very easy to get there any time. I do this alongside motherlode for AFK + nuggets. A bit less brain-rotting than iron or granite.

Also jeez i never clocked just how many methods there were to train mining, all of these other methods like volcanic mine, blast mining etc just kind of get eclipsed by mlm. it's a shame really that there are so many great options and fully developed methods/minigames, but literally 99% of people just default to mlm... i guess that's the way of efficiency scape.. best afk to xp/hour ratio i guess

I like crashing stars for AFK.. and you get a lot of dust that you can then exchange for gems its actually better than gem rocks due to the akness..., and sandstone is kinda necessary for levelin up crafting as well....amethyst for fletching... so with these supplies in mind 99 mining is vital for leveling other skills iron btw
I downloaded simple autoclicking app on mobile and got 30m xp iron ore in few days no ban...i was also rank 4 in 2014 with 86 mining lmao love that skill
also if you're using dragon pickaxe and NOT using celestial ring I highly recommend using lightbearer ring so you can spam the spec before the boost runs out

if ur f2p and wanna get member later. i highly agree shooting star is awesome. that ring really speeds up mining. and even if u dont get member. the stars are still really good afk exp. if u play on runelite u can just click the star. take a shower. eat dinner. and come back and ur still going. i did 3 accounts on one in alkaharid and my lowest account got from 29 to 31 i believe or 30-31 i remember using mith and then tossing an addy pick to it.
BTW you get 50k XP / HR in Members guild AND you get to keep the iron, if you stand at the 3 set of iron next to the bank, however dont stand in the middle of the 3, instead, stand on the corner of the 2 southern ones (bank deposit to the west) just mine the 2 and when full run to bank and click iron ore, or deposit all, up to you, i kept the Unid's in my inventory cause i found myself spending more time trying to click the bank all vs just clicking any ore, made up for the time etc. Anywho im making 50k/hr doing this while also getting to keep the iron, and the unid's, i only have prospect gear on. O and after deposit, click on the southern most ore as its a straight shot to it and, if you click the middle rock sometimes you will path up and over and then you have to readjust.

camulet teleport (surface) puts you right next to the granite spot

Use the Shooting star plugin to see where they are at all times. Half the time you get one to yourself and chill for a while

If you go mother load mine make sure to have dragon pick. Just got 99 mining 20 minutes ago all with rune and takes forever.

Celestial ring, that’s about it. I just hit 88 at mlm, it’s good gp but the exp is pretty trash.
