    Awesome vid man. Wish we got the canada spec here, no idea why you guys vented seats before we didn't. Not like you need em most of the year. The ridgie is an under rated platform for offroading, the ivtm4 AWD can pull you thru some pretty nasty shit.

    Dude this is an awesome video! I've been UA-cam-shopping trucks (I'd like one for camping, hauling my mtb & snowboards, and possibly overlanding in the future) and the Ridgeline caught my interest - despite considered being "not a real truck". Thanks for showing us the capabilities this truck really has! Looks like it's more than capable of what the average person would need, even for weekend warriors

      Thanks for the props! With a lift, AT Tires and skid plates it’ll get you where you need to go! You really can’t beat it as a daily driver as it’s still so smooth and quite, and carves the corners quite well even with the mods. I was just up at Hale Creek (west Harrison lake) a couple weeks ago and really put it to the test. Lots of water crossings with steep entries & exits, rocks, ruts, steep hills…she performed great! (Video is a couple months away as I’m backlogged.)

    Looks good man. I was planning to get the new tacoma but your video has made me feel like maybe I should get me a ridgeline instead. Thx for the video. Much appreciated it. 👍

      Check out my Best Truck vids as they shed much more light on why the Ridgeline is the best truck for most people in most situations. The Tacoma should only get “the nod” over the Ridgeline if legit “wheeling” is the goal. They are equally reliable but the Ridgeline is a much better “car”. You lose some tow capacity but you get a lot more payload which is important for the “every-day” truck stuff.

    Very well done, will all the optional lighting installed can the electrical system handle the “ draw” ?

    • @ridgelineoverlanding
      @ridgelineoverlanding  4 місяці тому

      LED lights have very little draw and it’s rare that all the lights get used at once.
      In addition, I’m running well over 1000 Watts to my stereo… So a few LED lights is a drop in the bucket.

    Great looking truck. Did all the Honda truck settings that are accessed through the Honda proprietary info centre get transferred into the kenwood setup? The only thing that’s holding me back from getting a used ridgeline is the relative outdated infotainment interface.

    • @ridgelineoverlanding
      @ridgelineoverlanding  9 місяців тому +2

      You lose control all of the settings that are done through the Honda infotainment. Set them where you want them and they will stay there, but if you want to make changes, you would have to pull out the aftermarket deck, plug in the OE deck, make your changes, remove reinstall.
      I never played with those settings once I had the more I wanted them.

      Thanks for the quick reply! I live in north van and I think I saw your truck out in the wild several weeks ago…i waited around to see if I could have a chat with the owner, but had to take off. Since then I’ve been researching after market truck accessories for the ridgeline, then my UA-cam feed found you anyway! I noticed you don’t use a tonneau cover…would that rack system work with one?

    That lift kit and clearance is what they need to do on their supposed "off road" package the "Trail Sport".. Not what they did ..all they did was basically add some stickers/badges and some tires(supposedly A/T not sure what they are using.. but it had a class leading lack of ground clearance and Im not sure that changed with their Trail Sport version certainly outside some stickers and fender flares the HPD package doesnt do anything either lol.

    Where did you get your hrg lift installed? I'm in BC and need to get mine installed on the pilot.

    • @ridgelineoverlanding
      @ridgelineoverlanding  6 місяців тому +1

      Big Country Customs in Abbotsford. I hope you didn’t already order the kit. Not many shops will do lifts with “user-supplied” kits. BCC might if you remind them that they installed it on my truck without issue. I can get you a copy of my invoice if they need a reminder.
